This wasnt everyone either. We usually have more however this was during the "vid" and some didnt come out because of their age. But I do agree with you. When everyone is out it reminds me of 4th of july during the sandlot movie!

Probably a question you get often..... I have watched a ton of your videos and looking into getting a golf cart. What is the set up you liked the most? Motor, batteries and controller.... what combo would you put together?

You need to make sure your batteries can handle the amps you want. Some drop in replacements can only handle 300 amps for brief periods. At cruising speed on mostly flat ground you will only use 80 to 140 amps. But the voltage will spike alot higher if you have a controller and motor that can handle it. A large lithium battery 48v 150ah can cost 2000 if you build it yourself or 4000 to 5000. To buy. The controller and motor can be another 1500 for DC or 1600 to 2200 for AC. Or a battery and alltrax 300a controller and use stock motor.

Good morning Ryan this is JohnyV. I put my big batteries in. It worked great for a year and a half now my motor in my tomberlin 2011 went bad. What’s the best replacement motor thank you buddy keep up the great videos.

Always check the battery specs for continuous amp ratings vs peak amp ratings when upgrading for power gains. Adding a high amp controller and motor will shorten the life of the battery. The battery I built can handle 450amps for 18 minutes vs Big Batteries 350amps for 8 seconds. Continuous amps needed is usually between 75amps and 150 depending on the incline. Program according to specs. This is for lithium batteries. Lead acid batteries can handle more amps. Unless the lithium battery is built to handle the amount of power needed.

@@hankscorpio514 depending on what you can find it's best to have your money ready when the opportunity hits. 18650 's would be a lot of work. . Is it a stock or will you be upgrading the controller or motor?

What do you recommend for motor, battery, speed controller for a 4 seater ez go like the blue one doing wheelies. I want something for heavy towing and hill climbing around the farm, not necessarily for wheelies or speed, that would be nice also tho. I do not have a cart yet, maybe even best style cart to start with?

I'm waiting for one of these guys to do burnouts. Wheelies are hard on suspensions especially if you haven't done any bracing or changed the springs and shocks so they actually do something.

I know this is 2 years old but I’m just seeing it. I built me a 2007 Yamaha g29 a couple years back, it’s a gasser. I was originally going to buy an electric cart, navitas AC conversion, etc but found this and have loved it. Anyway, now I’m picking up a 2020 drive 2 tomorrow for insanely cheap. I’m going to start a full tear down build on it and I’m wanting to throw a 5KW navitas motor/controller in it and go lithium. My question is, should I go 72v if I’m starting fresh anyway? The electric world is new to me and there doesn’t appear to be a complete kit nor good info out there that I’ve found so I am trying to find the absolute safest lithium batteries out there because I’ve seen too many house fires around here and I’m terrified but should I just stick to a 48v lithium setup and a 5KW navitas? Think it’ll do wheelies lol? Any suggestions would be appreciated !

I have a technical question because you have been playing with these longer than me. When you did your A/C conversions you mentioned using their 2ga battery cables. Have you tried anything better for power and lower resistance? I ask because I am getting 25-26 mph out of a stock 3.3 hp DC motor and controller with 2/0 high flex welding cables at all connections. I tried a D&D motor but the stock controller would shutter until I got rolling but I had a 32 mph top speed. I have a 600 amp navitas coming next week.

Damn that’s fast man!! The clogging is because the KV is probably too high, the only way to stop that would be with a sensored motor, but I don’t know if any Golf Cart motors that are sensored.

@@SecretaryBootyyJuice All Golf Cart motors made in the last 20 years have speed sensors. I don't know what you're trying to say about KV, the only KV I know of is kilo volts as in 1,000 volts and you sure don't have that in a golf cart. I switched everything out and went 72 volt AC now running 51 mph top speed

I would really like a chance to talk to you. I just installed the Navitas DC to Ac conversion kit 600 amp 5 kw. 4 Big Battery Eagle 48 volt. All 2 gauge wire. Getting no where the performance seeing on you tube. This is my third install. First one with Big Battery. I was told Big Battery would give me a lot more performance. I could really use your help to get the performance that is expected from this set up. Really thought the tires would be coming up off the ground. Would really appreciate your help.

Have you found a good place to get a 110v TXT receptacle swap? I found a plastic panel on eBay and then I can bolt up my 110v plug to the plate. Saw some folks have one solid unit for the replacement.

Not 2 cycle specific, but my limo cart that I have was bought as a gas cart with a locked up rear axle. I yanked the axle, the gas engine wasnt in it when I bought it and I bought another cart for the electric components. Here is that series - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mclnZribsp7PaYE.html

Just converted my cart to the bigbattery lithium. Unfortunately i lose radio memory everytime i unplug battery to charge. Need a fix for this. I have a ridiculously loud system on my cart

@@Fentertainment 48V HSKY KIT - LiFePO4 - 103Ah - 5.3kWh. Just need to keep the stereo memory. Thinking about adding the charger in-line to batter and just leaving on all the time. Would have to run my inverter constantly but I’m thinking the battery should be able to handle that. Most it will ever sit is maybe 5 days max

Navitas makes a upgraded controller for the 72 volt cart. You probably need to contact them to find out who sells them in your area. I haven't seen any online. Doesn't mean they aren't out there somewhere

I have an ezgo TXT with the navitas dc to ac 5Kw kit, HD solenoid, 2g wire kit, and the 48V Husky big battery. I still can't get the wheels up!!!

I believe there are a lot of settings that have to be just right both in the BMS and the Navitas app to get the front end up. Remember what goes up comes down. I broke my front crossmember where everything mounts and had to weld and reinforced that area. My cart has 2/0 cables
