The honesty to admit that you’re scared doing crane work even after all your experience is commendable. Every time I put saw to wood there’s definitely a moment where I consider how “scary” things could get and how badly things could go wrong. I always try imagine worst case scenario and account for/mitigate it. I’ll be honest and say that I’m a little scared every time I’m cutting big trunk or spar with any consequence. Stay humble, stay safe. Cheers

Never have I watched such a first rate video. The equipment was top notch. The people)all) were splendid. Never dreamt a tree would bleed so much sap! The saw caught on 🔥 fire. From the climb to the top to bottom I was riveted!! I could go on and on! Just fantastic!! WOW 🤩!

I was a Tree Climber as well as Faller and every position in the business because I owned Ray's Tree and Stump Removal as well as excavation Co.. When I came to the san Francisco Bay area they had never seen a man climb redwoods without a safety harness. I was just a bare rope climber and never used spurs. I rated #5 in a group of ten Tree Surgeons. They places a cap way out on a limb and we had to go out and retrieve it. I was the only climber without a harness. i used a Ginny limb above and walked many of the limbs. i did many line clearance jobs and instead of climbing every pole I would tie a rope around my waist and the top heavy phone cable and walk on the cable below it straddling the phone cable. They took photos of me eating lunch on top of a telephone pole and it went ap. all over the country.

I have been involved in some major construction projects over my lifetime, on the engineering side of things, and I can honestly say that I have been really impressed with both your manner and approach to what still is a very, very dangerous way of earning a living, and; by utilising modern methods and equipment, reducing those risks to the minimum. I accept that some tall trees need to go, because of their being adjacent to human habitation, or because they have died, and in danger of becoming a threat to that same humanity: but your team’s approach to those wonders of nature is worthy of a salute.

Jacob, About 31/2 years ago my wife and I saw the Giant trees along the Oregon Coast and then worked our way to Yosemite. The size grew and grew until some of the Sequoias we saw were up to 30 FEET in diameter, giant walls and the Redwoods, 20 feet. I remember watching old movies and seeing how those monsters were cut and felled with axes and hauled away with teams of animals. You use a combination of technologies which would have really looked like magic to the old Lumberjacks. Those machines that cut ,from the bottom, or cut and strip or the giant cranes to get aloft would have totally decimated those forests. At least some remote areas of Washington State have been saved. Well this is evidence of the algorithm getting it right and am I ever glad it chose to recommend this video to me. I had no intentions of watching the whole thing right now, I was just gonna take a peek and if it was interesting I'd watch it later. That idea was quickly abandoned and I watched the whole thing beginning to end and enjoyed every second of it. I hate to see big, beautiful trees being taken down but sometimes it's a necessity and I have certainly enjoyed taking down plenty of big wood myself. I also enjoy driving big trucks and running equipment, so this was deep into my wheelhouse. You folks surely have some way cool gear to get the job done and I truly enjoyed the chatter as well. You all seem like you know what you're doing and that's always a pleasure to watch. That chain set-up is very cool and I've gotta say that I have never seen that much sap pour outta any tree in my life...and I didn't see an insect of any kind in it! I used to love the challenge of felling trees in tight quarters, although I have to admit I never cut anything this tall. Thirty, maybe forty years ago, I would have gone for it, but at 73, I can only watch and admire. Nice job!!
