Things to do in kona hawaii
Kekaha kai state park - is a beach park located along the north Kona coast on the island of Hawaiʻi. The main beach areas are Maniniʻowali Bay, Makalawena beach at Puʻu Aliʻi Bay, and Mahaiʻula Bay. When it comes to things to do in Kona These are some of my favorite beaches on the island. White sand beaches with coconut palms beautiful turquoise waters. No list of hawaii hidden gems is complete without mentioning these beaches. The drive in is through a dirt road for about a mile and half. there is plenty of parking . They do close the park so make sure you check what time the gate closes so you are not locked out. Did i mention the sunsets here are amazing.
Kiholo Bay
This is another Big Island gem that takes some work to get to. If you are looking for things to do in kona hawaii this might be a good option. Its a long hike along the beach be respectful to the homes there and don't go on private property. The lagoon is beautiful it s a mix of sea and fresh water. this is definitely a big island hawaii gem.
The coffee shack
If your looking for things to do on big island of hawaii i hope eating delicious food is on your list. the coffee shack has the best sandwiches on the island. The bread is baked fresh the sandwiches are large enough to share and the lilikoi cheesecake is the best I have ever had. This is a must eat if you
Manta Night Dive
This is the best paid excursion on the Island. It is something that you cant do any where else. If your looking for one of the most unique experiences and things to do in kona look no further. The experience is something you will remember for the rest of your life. When you get out to dive site you can snorkel or scuba if you choose to snorkel then you will hold on to a floatation device and the manta while swim up against you. Keep your hands to your self you are not allowed to touch the animals. I highly recommend the manta night dive.
Magic Sands Beach
If your thinking about what to do on Big Island the answer is catch a sunset at magic sands beach. The sunsets here are the best sunset on the big island. The waves here can get big therefor use common sense and know your limits. This is a great beach for body boarding or body surfing.
Kaumana Caves
If your looking for things to do in hilo hawaii thats of the beaten path and you want to get a little adventurous check out the kaumana caves. Hilo is one of my favorite places minus the constant rain. The list of Hilo things to do is a long one from waterfalls to volcano national park.
