He doesn't want to be sympathetic. He enjoys being evil. He's an evil enjoyer. He's actually pretty honest. He doesn't hide his evil, he doesn't try to justify his atrocities. He's aware that he is awful. He does it because he feels like it. Big Jack Horner is my new favorite villain and character

Only thing i want to comment on is the idea that Jack Died in the end. No i would argue jack is still very much alive. As a wishing star, as everyone in the story. Least every named character got a their wish in the end. Puss, got his life back. Parito got a family that truly cares about him. softpaws got her faith in other people restored. Goldylocks realized the three bears were always her true family. Three bears became rich after taking over jacks pie buisness. And jack became a wishing star after being consumed by the original. Thus becoming the most powerful being of magic. Just magic he cannot actual use for himself. The star grants everyone their wish just not the way they wanted to. As the wishing star is more or less a monkey paw that works passively.

I like how Jack had a loving family that truly cared for him when all of that didn't matter to him and the one thing he only wanted was ultimate power.

I'd say Jack is polar opposite to Puss while also emphasizing his worst traits. Puss doesn't value his own lives. Jack doesn't value any life. At all. Not even a little. Jack had loving parents, he never needed to worry about money, and he doesn't even care about that. All that matters to him is ultimate power.

After seeing modok in antman 3 i appreciate jack horner even more. They had the same role a funny villain. But last wish gave jack funny personality while mcu kept making fun of modok

Jack Horner is an example of why Death came after Puss. If people are allowed to have everything they want without ever having to worry about losing anything, they wouldn't have any incentive to not waste their lives on selfishness and prideful vanity. Neither of them truly valued life despite being given great things from it, and never looked back at their actions until Death itself was coming for them.

I know this is suppose to be about Jack, but Puss "having a panic attack in front of Perrito"? That almost sounds like it's downplaying the scene. You don't choose where or when you have a panic attack, it's involuntary and often can be gone through alone even when you are surrounded by people. For those of us who have experience a panic attack, the scene hits different for us because we are seeing and hearing something that we have gone through is being taken seriously and with care thanks to input from Antonio Banderas. If I misjudged what you were saying, my apologies.

Is this is how you do a villain They’re not supposed to be sympathetic lol you’re not supposed to relate to them they’re just supposed to be evil for the sake of being evil. They’re supposed to be the exact opposite of the hero villains are supposed to challenge the heroes and their beliefs.😊
