That's what I've been saying about Edge. Edge was a brand, catchy, one syllable, near the top of the card for 20 years. Describes the type of character he was portraying... The last draw wwe able to produce was john Cena and cm punk.. But I fully agree, cm punk getting he's "cm punk" brand helps him take that drawing power outside wwe... That's the reason cm punk draws... The brand is "cm punk" not Phil Brooks.... Same goes to every else... If they have brand value, they need to take that brand in order to draw.. Rock got he's rock name too...

Honestly Mercedes Mone not making a big splash wasn't the big surprise for me. I think the bigger story is the fact that TK has done everything humanly possible to destroy Wardlow's credibility. They didn't even try to protect Wardlow. Samoa Joe definitively beat him in a title defense which felt inconsequential at best.

@@demonetreyking7299 Because Tooney Town Wrestling is mocking AEW and the unprofessional crybaby Mercedes Mone, I listen to Jim Cornette instead of watching AEW, and at least WWE sells out a 14,000 seat arena every week for the last few months, AEW couldn’t even sell 3,000 in a 18,000 seat NHL arena in Ottawa Ontario last Saturday, even after slashing floor seats from 200$ in October to 70$ 2 days before the show

And when she was in WWE, she was no better than third place behind Charlotte and Becky her entire run and got knocked back farther when Ripley and Bianca got big. Sasha was never the main draw for anything. She was a good hand in the ring that wanted to be booked and paid like she was the top star. When she wasnt.

Will and Okada are good but no one knows them yet and AEW booking is so bad I don't believe they can gain new fans using them or not. Mercedes isn't good so I don't know why they expected to get a return on that investment. She will likely be out injured most of her run and the rest of the time she will be annoying.

I find it interesting wrestling fans use Nielsen ratings as canon when cable boxes have been scarcer and scarcer, and next year WWE won’t even register on such a metric. I wonder how we’ll change the way we think about and measure total views/eyes on the product and all that in the next couple years

Welcome Back. Also so funny to see Tony's Game Changers flop. They also fail on tonight's Dynamite again. Mercedes "Disillusioned in her own mind" Mones has cut the exactly same promo 2 weeks in a row. Proving without WWE's backing she is a mess. We haven't even seen her in the ring. You can't take anything Mercedes says seriously when she said she will be back in WWE only days before her debut. But she's a CEO, and "wants to be in AEW and make a difference." When does a CEO walk out of a company twice when they don't get their way? Ospreay rambles on for 5 minutes in every promo saying something about "Feelings and BRUV about 10 times" We need Bruv Counter. Okada is an amazing talent, but being teamed with the DoucheBucks does him no go. Also, he just won a pointless title from Burger Kingston 3 weeks into his official debut in AEW. All of them are overpriced and overhyped. But hey we got an Epic Rock Concert to wash down all the bad.
