Firstly, you never asked me to prove myself. I used to be an atheist, just like you. Until my mom came down with lung cancer. I was surprised, my mom wasn't a smoker. The doctors told us the cancer was spreading quickly. I hadn't been to church in about 6 years, but my mom told me to go and pray for her. I did this as many times as I could. The preacher and everyone in the church would pray for her. They removed a lobe of her lung. She has been cancer free for 3 years.

My step-dad got his from working in a plant that made insulation. What stunned the doctors is that it started at the bottom of his foot. He saved three teens from cancer when the local doctor was doing physical examinations for sports and noticed that they had similar spots. They were sent to different dermatologist and each came back positive for cancer. Their parents were pleased that theirs were caught in time. The doctor told them it was my step dad. He had passed away by then. It moved to his brain. Three after a procedure he passed away.

I think helping one another is the most powerful thing. Any good feelings someone might get from practicing a religion isn't going to help others around us, we need empathy and humanism in action for that. Whether Christian, Muslim, Jewish, atheist, etc. we have the power to actively help one another. That is where real change happens.

I love these guys and I am not really a country music fan, but with the music of these guys I have found a new love for the genre for sure. At least for B n R.... This song makes me cry. I have had such a tumultuous life. My belief in God is, at times, the ONLY thing that got me through the hell I have lived in. I know not everyone that sees this video will believe in God, I know that for some reason some of you will feel the need to say cruel and hateful things to & about those of us who do believe. In highschool(when this song came out), I sang this song in my truck and I always felt a sinking feeling in my heart, at that part. Simply cause I couldnt comprehend such hardships to truly drive me from God. That is, until I lost my military/FD careers, the girl I loved more than anyone, my house, many family members, my health, and partially, my sanity. I never denied God's existence, but He showed me what it takes to create such doubt in yourself and your complete existence. I still have yet to figure out why I had to endure these trials, but I can only hope and trust that it is for a good reason. I figure I got nothing to lose. I cant be like everyone else. All I literally have, is God. Without Him, I got nothing.

@@654Crossman God gives us Christians many challenges in life so we will stay close to Him! True we may be angry and not understand but He knows and brings us back! Just know you’ll be with Him and your loved ones in Heaven one day! One point I have always noticed. You see most rich people, politicians, socialists, celebrities and other groups on TV or the news and they always seem happy, have big houses, fancy cars, lives of luxury. But you also see most sinners in these categories. I don’t know if I learned this in the Bible or if it’s just a feeling I have but I think God gives these people everything and what do they do but squander their lives away and turn from God. I think He lets them have everything now because they won’t have anything in hell! While we who suffered on earth and still believed will have everything in Heaven including God’s presence! Just IMO.

Wow, reading some of these comments, I realized that people need to actually listen to the song. It's naming off many of the issues today and not stressing that all they do is pray. They are saying that we as a whole can make a deference, even if its just one of us and they pray for a better day. Because its no secret that this Nation is going down hill. So if everyone truly tried to make a difference then this place would be a better place and That's why they pray.

About two years ago, my sister was driving home. (She had softball practice.) She was hit head-on by a drunk driver. Both of the cars were totaled, the man was driving 60 mph during time of collision. Both my sister and the man were life-flighted to the hospital. My sister had suffered numerous cuts and bruises, a fractured skull, broken wrist, and two broken ribs. I prayed for a couple hours. She almost lost her softball scholarship due to her wrist. She made a full recovery and is a catcher.

I'm an atheist and still love this song. Remember what it says in AA. God as you understand him/the concept of a higher power. If that's Yahweh, Vishnu, Allah, the idea of karma or the flying spaghetti monster, who cares? It's about helping your fellow human and striving for better. Not for the assurance of eternal life but practicing good for good's own sake.

I heard this on the radio and this song spoke to me so much! Music has always been one of the best ways I connected with God. This song/video speaks volumes on who God really is and how humanity should love and forgive, pray and hope in Him. Great song yall!

A good man, singing music that speaks volumes, about the common man....we are ALL in this life together.I fear, that sometimes we forget, about the people living in difficult circumstances and suffering hardships.Then I hear a song like this and I feel the power of goodwill and fellowship of man and my heart skips a beat.

Are country's going down the drain no good leaders will step up my dad got lied about an lost his job my friends got family issues and has done drugs and drinking alcohol and my parents won't let me talk to her that's why I pray please pray with me

raging Gaming my dad was a cop for 21 years and he had to move our family 1200mi from Oklahoma because me and my sisters were bullied to a point and I couldn't take anymore longer than my sister could and failed to kill myself and I was becoming anorexic and cutting and was so quiet but now I am a better person I have gained weight have more friends and haven't been bullied as much I am a helper when someone tells me about bullying that's why I pray now

I vote these guys to run our Country ! They understand life ! Our Current government has done just the opposite of this song. They have taken god out of our country and look at what has happen....... God is our only hope. Thats why I pray ! AMEN
