Recruiting services don’t value punters/kickers. The highest you’ll ever see them ranked is as a low 3 star. If you want to know how good a punter/kicker really is, you have to go to Kohl’s Kicking website.

I could be wrong, but I don’t see him kicking FG’s. When charted in a competition at the Kohl’s camp, he wasn’t even ranked in the top 35. Depending on the day he was ranked as one of the best 2 punters in the class, and a top 5 rugby punter. All of his kickoffs were easily 5 yards deep into the end zone, and he even had one that would have landed in the stands.

@erics607 He kicked 50+ fgs at the competition. He kicked a 49yd fg in game last year. They don't go out to 60. He posted videos of himself kicking 60 off the turf in practice. The kids only 17. He just finished his Jr season. He was ranked a 5 star #8 K overall by Kohls, & the #1 punter. He was not outside the top 30. I'd post a link but they usually delete YT msgs with urls in them.

@@johnberger8817 Just because he can kick FG's that long, doesn't mean he's the best/consistent at them. Zach Hintze kicked a 62 yarder for us, and he was never the FG kicker. Anders Carlson can easily hit 60 yard FG's but all I hear about his fans complaining about his accuracy. I know what he is ranked, and I actually look at the charting sessions for each camp he goes to. Just because he's ranked as a top 10 kicker, doesn't mean he's great at kicking FG's. He annihilates his kickoffs, his punts look amazing, and he looks good on FG's but none of those FG's shown on his camp films are under pressure. If you go and look at the chart of the last FG competition he did at the Kohl's setting, he was ranked around the 40th best kicker in FG's. He's phenomenal at kickoffs, normal punts, and rugby punts, but seems to struggle a bit with FG's at this time. I have been through all of his camp videos, and looked at every single chart on his Kohl's profile btw.

@@erics607 He kicked a 49 & 43 in HS in game. He's 17. He has a full Sr year, & a RSFR year before he ever sees the field. That's 2.5 yrs from now. Being strong enough & having the right technique for long fgs is not easy to attain. Consistency comes with practice. The more he kicks the more consistent he will be. If he only ends up as a top 10 punter in the country it's a home run pickup. If he ends up as a top 10 kicker it's a grand slam. Look at Meevis last year. Booming a 61yd fg to win a game. Two game winners last year. Not his most accurate season. He's in the NFL now most likely starting his rookie season. I agree being able to hit consistently from 35yds is really important. Giving your team an unexpected 3pts with a 50+fg can be huge, & they most likely are starting at their 25yd line right after. There's a reason he visited ND twice, MIC, & MIZ(who knows kickers). MIZ offered him a free ride months ago. He's gonna be good.
