Can you do a ranking of solo artists? Like Sunmi, Hyuna, Chungha. Since it may be too short if you did one person you could put the solos together or due a deeper analysis. Could you also in the future talk about what these dancing techniques are and how to develop them?

Huge agree with Tzuyu's case, I used to be the one who's really against her being a lead dancer as I think she gives off a clumsy vibe when she dances. But Tzuyu in More and more shut my mouth, I was amazed by her solo part and fancam.

I think she used to look clumsy because everyone else is shorter in the group so she has to adapt when it comes to group dances but now she’s so radiant!!!

Her improvement is just so visible that even people like me (who have no knowledge about dancing) were able to see how much her dancing improved. Just watch both the Boombayah dance practice and the How You Like That dance practice and focus on Jisoo. She was, in all honesty, quite awkward and stiff in Boombayah, but she literally slayed the How You Like That choreo. Couldn't take my eyes off her.

i agree for the most part for your comment because when i watched sixteen i kinda felt the same way but the last part abt the lines and attention etc, in my opinion i dont think so at all and actually ive actually seen a huge decline of attention towards tzuyu after sixteen and with the line distrubution especially because after listening to there newer bsides im really drawn to her voice tone and can see she has been working hard . ;( especially when i look at her fancam view vs the other members . but i also think one of the BIG reasons she made it in twice was her really nice and caring personilty cause i remembert hat episode in sixteen where they said she has never talked bad about the other girls/ or cursed etc !

Amethyst 0 we’ve yet to see more from Shuhua. Lion was just the start of her rise for sure. Jinsoul to be honest bothers me sometimes because she tends to forgot a part of the choreo ( Odd Eye Circle - Girl Front from MNET where she forgot a choreo, Butterfly when she almost ruined the floor dance from the 2nd chorus, and recently in their KCON Cherry Bomb at the split moment at the end she went up too early among the members ) though you can’t disagree she’s a good performer like Sakura. They both have good facials and charisma

It's funny people say Wendy is the worst because when I first started really following RV I watched a goodbye stage for 'Russian Roulette' and Wendy's charisma and energy was so appealing it sort of eclipsed any technical skills. The cameraman seemed to pick up on this as they did quite a lot of focus on her. I'd say Joy is probably the worst she used to underdance/be low energy and due to her height and frequently short clothing she often seems uncomfortable.

Tzuyu being the tallest member often has to overcompensate in order to keep formations looking smooth which is why she often has to bend her limbs alot more than the other members which leads her to looking kinds clumsy or clunky compared to the others. This recent comeback however allowed her to dance more freely which is why her lead dance potential is being revealed. In danced like Dance the Night Away, she looks really good cuz she isnt forced to dance in a strict formation.

Ok, but in TWICE i think the best glow up is Jihyo, now she can be a main dancer if she had debut in another group, but in LOA era she was the one with the technique was so poor, also her isolation was really bad, but she never have been a bad performer!

She had been good ever since debut . She was always energetic , people just overlooked it because of her "fat" looks and bodyshaming her. After she lost weight , her moves were more clear , not like it already wasn't before , but she was never said to be the worst at dance even once .

For Shuhua, she actually has quite good technique and although she doesn't have as much energy her dancing is good. She'd benefit from feeling the rhythm of the music more to give her dancing better fluidity. Wendy definitely has so much energy on stage, but I just don't think that really means she’s improved in dancing overall. Her overdancing can look odd with certain choreo and I heard it described as looking like she's performing a zumba routine which is quite accurate. She can also be out of sync with the beat of the music and like Shuhua, she'd benefit from having a better sense of rhythm. Although maybe that's something you either have innately or don't. But if we're talking about energy, she definitely has a lot of that.

Well I would have to disagree. I can think of 1 idols (literally only 1) who actually was talentless. But my...FRICKING jesus she has improved so much it’s crazy. But she trained for very little and then debuted so it ain’t her fault. Every idol has insane potential, she had it, and it’s still being unleashed! Can’t wait to see how she sings, dances, and maybe raps in the future

@@forggstans I loved this video and completely agree that Shuhua has had the biggest glow-up! Miyeon had a lot of dance training as a YG trainee before Cube and has always been a very elegant dancer. Shuhua looked lost initially but now is a lot more confident dancing :) she'll keep improving too!

I feel for Jinsoul, I think she got sort of typecasted into tough girl crush and the accompanying expectation of sharp dancing to go with it due to her looks and charisma when really she's a ballad vocalist and more or less trained as such, much like Haseul was with her opera.

Tzuyu always has to bend her knees more to keep the group movement looking synchronized because she's taller than everyone else, so I think she definitely hasn't had the chance to show her true dancing potential yet in Twice performances. She already dances so well while compensating for other people's height, imagine if she could dance unrestrained and not having to bend her knees so much :D

So proud of Jinsoul and the other members that you wanted to mention as well, i remember orbits were fighting on her dancing skills especially under that solo fancam, saying that she's not energetic or doesn't dance well while others were defending her. Seeing the pov of a dancer it really shows that she was not doing her best at the time and needed time to improve. I hope to see her and the rest of LOONA improve more, i really don't want my girls to be shamed for their skills and rather eveyone being speechless of their amazing skills.

One thing I wish you'd have mentioned about Sohye is her stage presence. Her ability as an actress gave her a surprisingly wide range of facial expressions, much more varied than the typical idol. She could convey emotions of songs very well (especially in the bridge of Very Very Very). I think she actually has a natural talent for dance that was undiscovered before PD101.

I find it really hard to rank wendy joy and yeri dance-wise... Seulgi is obv no1 and Irene is no2, but then, i dunno, Yeri is the next best technically speaking maybe (?) but then Wendy has such energy and stage presence, and Joy is the sexy dynamite. After some thought maybe this: 1 Seulgi 2 Irene 3 Wendy=Yeri 4 Joy I feel really bad ranking them tho :(

Frandahab I think yeri is an amazing dancer but se lacks confidence, when you see her early fancams (icc for example) se definitely was their 3rd best dancer, nowadays she is getting her confidence back and is improving everyday more (her rbb, zimzalabim, umpah-umpah fancams show her improvement a lot)

@@Frandahab Yeah Seulgi and Irene are easy to rank as 1st and 2nd respectively and as the official members of the dance line. My ranking of the others is different to yours though. I've watched a lot of group fancams and if we're talking about overall synchroncity/dance ability/stage presence I'd actually rank Joy 3rd, Wendy 4th, Yeri 5th. I think all IZ*ONE members improve, but specially Sakura and Hyewon. Hyewon now has more confidence about her facial expresions and dance (im proud of this beautiful woman). Sakura literally gave me a slapp in the face with the dance break.

I have to say in Shuhuas case I think it was more of a confidence thing, much like Yeri in Red Velvet, she isn’t particularly popular, she was put in the back for the majority of their older dances and cause she wasn’t confident in Korean she got simple lines. I think confidence is something that’s never mentioned in these dance rankings. With some idols you can see their lack of confidence in themselves, it can be very evident. Like with Jin in BTS in their earlier days, same with Yeri, and Lia in Itzy, with their solo dance things, for some examples.

Hyewon biggest issue is confidence, in some fancams when you notice when she gets energy but she randomly just drops it, like in Violeta fancam

Great list! I would also include Yuju from Gfriend. As trainees preparing for their debut, Yuju stated how she was the worst at dancing. After practice, she would stay and continue practicing by herself (I don't remember for how long). Yuju was apparently the trainee/member that memorized the choreo the slowest. When they debuted, Yuju kept pushing herself and often overdid it. She would fall, break her ankles, but stayed professional and kept perservering. I don't see a lot of dance rankings from gfriend, so I hope you consider adding Yuju in part 2! Thank you for takinb the time to read this long paragraph lmao

Pleaseee do a video about how to be a god tier dancer, and all dance technique that a great dancer need to learn, i'm really into dancing and i really want to learn how to dance with great technique, please explain about isolation,execution,energy,power, and all of that stuff...your videos are very helpfull to learn about dancing, THANKYOUU SOO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR VIDS!! Iz*one's case for me: I would put Hyewon here because of her now amazing confidence and dancing because you could see how much she improved from Fiesta to SSOTS but I agree Sakura improved more. You should do Vocal Glow Ups if you can because Hyewon shook me so much when she sang.
