A guy in my hometown had one of these Countachs, the sad thing about it was, he got in trouble with the government (something that you may not think of) and they repo'd it, and since it was purchased by laundered funds and overseas money transfers and couldn't legally be sold they "crushed" it, but what really happened to it was the police chief took it, hid it, and then also got fired and arrested for stealing items and possession of goods used for lack of a better term "blood money" transactions

I'm a victim of the Bubble . in '22 I bought a '05 SRT10 Viper RAM with only 2000 miles on it. It is 'brand new' and perfect! I saw some sell for $70-80K, I thought $50K was spot on. But I love it. I've driven it everywhere it has 15,000 miles on it now. no unexpected problems. I'll keep it forever I was expecting the TRX to come in a regular cab version with a manual, but that never happened. I love the technology of 2005!!! Hello from Wisconsin.

To share one in a more common budget, in 2022 I dropped 7k on a red Volvo xc70 and it needs like 4k of work done and has 160k miles. It’s from Arizona (I thought that was cool since a lot of cars here in the Midwest are rusty) and driven by an old couple. I look on marketplace and see nicer ones than mine for like 5 grand🙁

My friend owned his ex prodrive company car (a prodrive toyed with Colin McCrae special edition Impreza) and he lent it to me for 2 weeks, most impressive car I've ever driven. I was 23 and quite the boy racer and drove flat out everywhere, did 150mph on A roads, could drift all the way around a round-about without going below 60, whilst overtaking and undertaking people, that thing was wild, so predictable. I'm quite the responsible driver now though I still get the urges. Would love to find a decent sti now but my tuned classic mini and my mx-5 will have to do for now, though a focus rs or Yaris gr maybe on the cards at some point.

Surprised you didnt mention the Honda S2K. They were selling for $40-60k for a short period of time. The cheapest high mileage, 5-owner car I could find was $25k. Now they're $15-30k for a clean Carfax car, and even less for a high mileage 4+ owner car.
