@@leducdu91 Yeah. I mean, look at Venom Snake's bionic arm. Pretty advanced, so by the time MGS1 would've happened, prosthetics could've been advanced enough to make it look exactly like a real arm. Could've also taken someone else's arm like Ocelot did though. Although we do have to take into account that Kaz said he didn't want to replace his arm and rely on bionics, so this is just a small possibility.

Remember that Liquid's inherited the recessive genes(the blond hair, which is a rarer hair color, indicates it) (also take in mind that recessive does not mean inferior) while Solid got the common dominant ones(brown hair, common). Neither of the Twin Snakes inherited Big Boss' complete genome because the genes were culled accordingly, and it was only the Third Son, Solidus, who was a direct genetic copypasta, hence 'perfect clone'

Raven told Snake he must solve the rest of the riddle himself, so kudos to you for doing that. As far as Snake knew, however, they had both codes and were ready to launch.

I think it's the cutscenes. They were shot like an epic military action film. Kojima's ability to create tension and excitement is superior to a vast majority of filmmakers.

saify textile Not every MGS game. MGS 1 in particular has high tension and suspense. MGS 2 doesn't have the same style except in the tanker section, MGS 3 is laid back like a 60's action flick. I can't speak for MGS4 as I have yet to play it for myself.

It was unique and there had never been a game with this kind of narrative. And the character casts in this game are much stronger than any of the sequels.

Not me, I realized that somethings fishy with "Master miller" because in the cell thing, when u meet meryl in disguise and she tells u to open the door then psycho mantis casts something in that cutscene they said "YOU FOOL! you've killed him! it was an accident. Now we'll never get that detonation code!" And since Darpa/president baker/chief never gave their code it means that if u input the keys again it'll activate, even otacon mentioned it can be used to deactivate/activate

Yeah, I'll admit... That one shocked me really well. Like "Holy shit! That was Liquid the whole time!" I had to play through again to see if there were any references to it throughout the game. It was then I realized I got no response from Master during the fight with Liquid in the chopper battle.

This completely caught me and a friend off guard when we got there. We just shouted the biggest "WHAT?!".

Because Konami would never allow it nor would they want to do it. And if they did....no way in hell would it be any good without kojima and the original developers directing/working on it

This twist got me too , been along time since a game got me in the same way....mgs was my first game on the PS1 and still the best in my eyes.

They would fuck it up... Modern game mechanics wouldn't work on the limited mapsize anyway. Twin Snakes already kinda proved this by adding FPS mode and hanging, which completely break the game). Not everything in life needs a remake, A Space Odyssey 2001 is proof of this (which happens to be part of Kojima's source of inspiration for his new game Death Stranding haha)!

It got remade. Twin Snakes exists. It's totally ludicrous in execution, but it exists.

What's extra amazing is that it's not even the same voice actor... 😳 And yet Robin Atkin Downes managed to nail Liquid's impression, who was doing an impression of HIS character, and it goes full circle!

I was surprised because before you learn through another event he didn't seem like a total asshole. If Capcom didn't have that one scene between him and Barry, it would've been outright shocking. By Resident Evil 5, Wesker turned into a giant super villain and even there his death was less shocking than from the first game.
