How good are you at speaking Filipina? Filipinas speak their own language and behave in a particular/peculiar fashion. Here is a guide to decode Filipinas. I wish I’d known all this about filipinas when I first arrived 4 years ago. It would have saved me a lot of head bashing and hair pulling. I’m bald now. So, if you’re thinking of dating a filipina. Or maybe you’ve been dating a filipina awhile but still unclear what she’s banging on about with her dialogue and weird behaviour. Filipinas don’t speak your language. The majority of them speak English, but it’s certainly not the English that I’m used to.
So for those foreigners new to filipina speak I’ve put together a list of filipina quirks. Some of them are naturally quite cute which you might have already come across. Others annoy the hell out of me. But you’d best follow this lesson carefully as you’ll be coming across these with most filipinas you’ll meet.
You'll hear a number of expressions in the Philippines which you probably won't have come across so frequently back home:

The best way to understand the mindset of Filipinas is to have many conversations with Filipino men. You will learn more in 1 week than you could in 6 months simply chatting to Filipinas. Filipino men will tell you everything you need to know as he has lived in the country and have been dealing with Filipinas of all ages for their entire lives.

If a woman is giving you one word answers, then she is not interested in you (but she is interested in what you could do for her). No hard feelings, but expect to move on after 15 minutes or more. The heart will eventually win out, you can't ever earn affection.

Filipinas are simple, they give you attention if they think you'll throw money, but if taxi or trike driver sees you, they also give you attention. In the end it's all about money in Ph, guys flattered by attention are deluded.

When it comes to relationships, Filipinas tend to be like rocks. They are stable and dedicated to their family and friends. If you want to be like a rolling stone, you will meet many of those rocks along the way, but not benefit from the stability and dedication they offer.

Language isn't the issue. I dated several girls from countries where English was hardly spoken and I didn't get the stone walling I got with Filipinas. My last Filipina graduated High school with honors, I saw her diploma, and she came across as "simple." Yes, simple as in riding the short bus. I thought it was just a language thing, but finally gave up when she repeatedly asked me what time it was in my country. How is that even possible?

Brilliantly on point & funny 😆 Must say though, meeting any Filipina online is opening yourself up to the pecking order that the Filipina wishes & at her time only. Plus a never ending of hardwork cycles, plus STD's, of which there are published articles in 2020/21 stating that STD's/HIV/Aids in the country is at epidemic proportions. Basically any Filipina reaching out for a boyfriend online, whether local or Foreign...is best to be left alone unless you're happy getting more than you bargained for.

The rules are the same the world over. My rules or beat it! Don't tolerate bs, make sure you communicate that you have other options and she's easily replaceable. Solves 99% of your problems. Guys like to cling to lame women when they should just move on.

Absolutely correct! My time is the most valuable asset I have at this point in life & refuse to waste it on simpletons. Personally, I don’t see the attraction to Filipina women. My experience is 18 years in/out of Vietnam. IMO, the women of Vietnam seem to have a more serious nature about relationships & definitely more attractive. Unwed mothers aren’t nearly as common as in the Philippines. In Vietnam, it’s still considered taboo to have a child out of wedlock.

We are polar opposite Brits, bloke..... Ive never even contacted a Filipina on a phone whatever the app or call, all my interactions have been face to face. That vid was like a how to fail at dating podcast 😀 I've been spoken to many times at supermarkets hotel's walking on boulevards etc. always seemed to turn out nice as I've always found girls intrigued and wanted to find out more👍. Spot on, Americans, Canadians and British usually are the ones that come to a place where English is not the first language and fast talk like it is, then chuckle saying "they don't understand". Sometimes one can switch a language but sometimes one is translating an answer and that's the look I see in many faces on these videos.

I love Phillip's content - it's thoughtful, poetic, ironic and truthful. But it's also a bit of a "How to not get what you want" guide too. Take this subject: It could have been better titled, "After 4 Years, I still don't understand Womanese, especially with a Filipina dialect". Pretty much like most men who are out there who don't realise they are chasing rainbows and unicorns. For everything a woman says, there is a code - learn the code and act on it eg, something like, "We can meet sometime", means she doesn't want to meet you anytime soon, which is your signal to move on straight away. Hello mate, I've just stumbled across your channel whilst considering swapping Thailand for the Philippines for around a month in May.... Firstly, loving your content!! It's refreshing to watch someone with their head screwed on for once... If you was me, would you recommend it? and where would be my best bet for a lively beach town with all of the same kind of joys as in Pattaya? lol I'm guessing I'd have to fly into Manila and then on to another Filipino Island? Hey Stuart. Great to see you here. The Phils doesn't really offer similar candy stores to Thailand. However Sabang on Mindoro Island is a beach town you may like to check out. If you're flying into Manila I'd suggest spending an evening at Cafe Cubana on P. Burgos St. Where in Essex are you from?

I first went to Sabang in 84, and after watching a previous clip, it's unrecognisable now. You used to have to take a girl there (from Manila), and the beach was really nice. It no longer exists. The sand obviously having been used for mass construction. Further and further up the hillsides. God help them if there is an earthquake. Big Lalaguna was my preferred beach, only access by boat back then.

I know this is some satire but it's a bit unfair to blanket all Filipinas like this. I've talked to plenty online who are engaging and caring and don't answer questions with "why?". People like this exist sure but it's not just a filipina thing. You're best off just ignoring her and finding someone who does respond well to your messages than waste time with someone who isn't interested or talkative.

You speak English? ...firgive me, I'm from the U.S. I had a wonderful Brit friend in Thailand, "BRIAN" ....white haired elderly fellow ....his Thai wife would looked at me one day saying: "I love my husband but he kills the English langauge ....can't understand a word he says!!" ....we all chuckled as his accent was certainly very strong

Lots of guys in the comments under this video agree 100% with Philip. They recognize the truth of what he is saying. You can like a country and its people but still be aware of its faults. And sometimes we like to get together with the fellas and have a good moan or rant about the country we are visiting. Why not? We do the same about our own country.
