i have played a few games on ipad pro 10.5. gta SA, bully etc. they work flawlessly and trust me most other games will work pretty fine. if you can find a good deal, just get the ipad pro 10.5. its pretty usable even in 2021. it has the same refresh rate on the screen and dont worry about white spots. i never faced that issue but i have seen it on one ipad and its not as noticeable as you might think. after a while you could easily ignore it. also replacing screen on 10.5 is cheaper than the 11 inch.

DO NOT UPDATE IT, IT IS SOOOO SLOW NOW. and apple has secretly disabled file transfer over lightning port in iPad OS 14 for the 10.5 inch iPad Pro. I am planning to upgrade to the new iPad Pro 11 inch 2021 which is predicated to launch on March 23rd.

​@@thorium9190 thats not true. My 10.5 is running iOS 14.4.1 and its still as fast as Usain Bolt. Its nearly the same as my iPad Pro 11(2020), not much difference.. And apple has not disabled the file transfer over lightning. My 1TB HDD(Toshiba) works fine with the Lightning adapter. U just need a Lightnign to USB Adapter with charging port. (3 in 1 USB Camera Adapter with 1080P Digital AV HDMI Adapter ... USB Adapter for iPhone with Charging Port - look at AMAZON)

Keep it because you will not like the crazy messed up look that iPad OS15 offers.

As long as it’s in good condition I’d say the pro is the better deal over the newer one since you’ll get the 120hz screen and 4 speakers.

I think the new iPad Pro is much better if you have or are willing to spend more money but if you can get the 10.5 in good shape for $200-300 then it’s still a very good device that should be able to do most daily tasks very well and likely stay that way for another year or two.

The 10.5 is starting to get a bit outdated and Apple's trade in offer is fairly good considering it saves you from having to sell it on your own so I would recommend buying either of the 11 inch iPad Pros but if you're going to get a newer one you might as well go for the brand new M1 iPad Pro since it's their best iPad yet and will likely be powerful and more than capable for years to come.

I own a 10.5 pro and it developed the bright spot three inches up from bottom in portrait mode. It’s annoying but I can deal with it generally but in photo apps it can be a pain

@@vexy4484 it’s a bright area of light about 1 inch in diameter. I can ignore. It usually but it gets very annoying when using photo apps.

As of right now the newest iPads that just came out are very powerful as they are using the M1 chip from the Mac line. Although aside from that the 11 inch 2021 model isn't much different from the prior years, although if you want the full top of the line experience the 2021 12 in iPad has both the M1 processor and a new MiniLED display that is HDR capable and offers one of the best displays Apple has ever made, but you'll have to pay a premium for it. I've never used TouchID or FaceID on any of my iPads since they never leave the house but I know on my phone I significantly prefer TouchID over FaceID. In my use case I just find it easier to be able to touch the sensor maybe while I'm doing something or the phone is laying flat compared to having to look at the sensor or hover over the phone on a table. FaceID is just as fast as TouchID and just as secure but I just prefer the larger freedom of movement of TouchID compared to having to have it lined up just right to get FaceID to work. One thing I don't like with the iPads front facing camera is if you use it in landscape orientation it always has you off to the side and at an odd angle that always makes you look bad. I never really need the front facing camera though so it's not much of an issue for me but would likely be better if relocated for a landscape orientation.

Last question if you don't mind - I actually use the speakers on my 10.5 fairly regularly for background music around the office and what-not. Do you notice any difference in sound quality between the 10.5 speakers and the 11-in iPad speakers? Not a dealbreaker, but any improvement would be a nice to have. Thanks again!

@@MrEcted I think the ones on the newer iPad might be a bit louder but probably not by much. Any of the pro models are fairly loud when at full volume compared to other iPads.

The current M1 iPad Pro would probably be the best option but I've been using the 2020 iPad Pro to play COD Mobile and it runs it fairly well.

ARJUN shoud i buy 2017 pro 10.5 with logitech keyboard and pencil in 25k or bargain?

Charging mine with Apple 29/30 W charger and USB-C to Lightning cable. Goes really quick but it is supposed to wear down the battery faster.

Since it doesn't have a USB C port like the 2020 model, I don't think it can. The closest you could get would be a 4k monitor with an Apple TV and then Airplay content from the iPad onto it but the 2017 iPad doesn't offer 4k video playback on KZfaq and in other apps I've tried.
