Used ipad pro 10.5 is about half the price of ipad air 4 right now and battery life isn't too bad as it easily last me a full day of usage at school. Super value for money imo compared to air 4. The a14 chip though...

I bought a 10.5 wifi + 4G 64 GB for 300 euros just days ago. Much better than buy a new Air 4 for 800 euros

The 10.5 pro has everything I want in a tablet, it's still fast imo, 4 speakers, fast touch ID, 120hz, thin bezels, earphone jack, & it Keeps the original iPad design!!!!!

I confirm, even at iOS 15.0.1 on 10.5" the cpu speed, 120Hz screen response and battery time works the same as in iOS 13 and 14. Cheers!

Bought my iPad Pro 10.5 256gb at excellent price of £429 (for the time) on a Black Friday 2 years ago. Still an amazing tablet in 2021, and probably in 2022. Even today there isn't any new iPad with 120 refresh rate at that price point

I've been thinking about upgrading from my 10.5 Pro to this model because all of the "Pro" features the 10.5 had are now available in pretty much every iPad model (except the refresh rate). It doesn't seem like it's really worth the upgrade yet, especially since the 10.5 doesn't really have any slowdowns despite being almost four years old. The only thing that would be nice is that I hear the USB-C iPad models don't have any lag on external displays, whereas the old lightning adapter models really can't be used with an external display due to input lag. If someone happens to read this comment and can confirm that, that would be pretty helpful to know

This is tough. I've had every iPad Pro iteration and just sold my 1st Gen 11" waiting for a new model in April but the fact you can find a 10.5 for $300 likely with a keyboard AND pencil and I have old accessories for it makes it a looker

I'm still using my 2017 12.9" every day for art and it works fantastic with the exception of the light bleed that unfortunately appeared during the years. Wish it had usb c for a hub but I'm sure there's a workaround! Great video and these newer ipads have come such a long way

Was sitting here this morning realizing I can do express pickup at my nearest Apple Store today, so you know the wheels started turning for something new. I have more up to date devices all around me, but thought about taking Apple’s $280 trade in offer my iPad Pro 10.5, but then decided after watching this video not to take the offer. Now, I believe there’s to be new product announcement soon, I’ll wait for that fully knowing the trade in offer will go down, but not a big deal. Thank you for the video

Bought a brand new Pro 10.5 2 years ago,I’m still in love with it..as a matter of fact I’m beginning to shoot videos on my iPhone and I want to use the A10X chip to help me out with editing..I’m sure that it’s still a great and performing machine for that task! Can’t see the reason for upgrading!

I like my 10.5 iPP, but always wished I had waited a bit more before buying and had gotten the 2018 12.9 instead. I use music apps and the extra screen real estate and horsepower would be nice. I’ll update to the 2022 12.9 when it comes out, most likely. Also - battery life on my 10.5 has become weak, requiring charging all the time despite if I have a lot of apps loaded or not. Oftentimes I just use it with my 60w charger always plugged in as it dies too quickly.

However by what I’ve heard devices with the A8 and possibly the A9 chipset will not be supported by IOS 15 so if that’s the case then the second generation IPad Air would be nearing the end of it’s software support but it could still remain as a decent device for lower power applications for another couple of years after software support is dropped! :)

Funny thing is that I came from the iPad Pro 10.5 and personally don’t miss the “pro motion”. I honestly don’t even notice the difference and I’m loving my IPad Air 4. The only thing I noticed is that the speakers on my Pro are definitely louder.

What's more this kind of comparison is great. As a owner of the 10.5, I would not recommend buying because of how many of these models develop a white spot at some time... But in terms of speed it's still extremely responsive.

My 10.5 is the best ipad I’ve ever owned and the longest I’ve owned a single ipad. It however has a white bright area on the screen that’s growing it seems so I’m thinking of upgrading. Or just buying another preloved 10.5!

I would not buy an iPad Pro new at the moment due to the new upcoming models being a huge jump in performance, if you can't wait until the event this month, get the 4th Gen iPad Air.

Another big difference in Display is iPad pro uses Laminated display which give us the feeling that the contents are on the surface of the ipad screen, while normal ipad does not uses laminated display, so the content looks little bit deeper inside from the surface.

I just retired my 2017 pro for the Air 4. So far I’m loving the Air. The 2nd generation pencil is amazing. It’s nice always picking up a fully charged pencil. I never need to think about it. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED the pro. It had a great life. Just started having a ton of problems with touch sensitivity, screen orientation, and battery. It would often freeze on me as well. The battery situation is to be expected but I felt a little let down over the other issues. Pro Motion will be missed but after a while I don’t really notice the difference.

I’ve decided to hold on my iPad Pro 10.5 a little longer. Why spend the $800 for the 256gb version when I already basically have the same thing with pro motion and better speakers and I only paid around $300 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Love the videos keep them coming

The 10.5 will make you buy a lot of expensive dongles, assuming you don't have them. There's almost no MFi certified lighting to USBA camera adapter and VGA/HDMI to lighting dongle, and buying those dongles may cost you £100+. Air four allows you to use way cheaper dongle. But if you don't need those then it's a different story.

Maybe from an artist perspective it should be noted that a lot of people keep having problems with Procreate acting up or crashing with the older Pro model, especially with bigger files. If you are just a casual doodler it shouldn‘t be much of a problem but I found that when you work with projects that take you days etc. it can be quite a gamble sometimes just due to it‘s age.

hey man, I'd just like to give some feedback on the thumbnails, and the thing is I don't rly click on these vids anymore mostly cuz of it. They tend to be a bit too colourful; what I mean is that u use wallpapers with bright colours and then use bright colours behind the device itself, kinda making it a bit too poppy, so some nice contrast would be nice too, like a colourful wallpaper and a dark or matte black surface to contrast it, or maybe even like a kinda dark wood desk or smth. hope this helps :)

I love my iPad Air 4

My main problem with the iPad pro 10.5 is the battery drain issue. I would get only 5 - 6 hours of light use. If I don't turn on the airplane mode at night, it will quickly drain my battery overnight. My iPad 3 lasted at least 8 hours so I was very disappointed when I got the iPad pro 10.5. Now I wonder if I can get better battery life with the iPad air 4.

So I bought the Ipad pro 10,5 wifi in 2020 used for 450€ with appel pencil. Now my grandfather sendt me the Ipad Air 4 (celluar) with magic keyboard and appel pencil2, because he doesn't use it. So I rellay like my old Ipad. II compared the two side by side. I prefer the I pad pro. For me it has a much better display brightness, and also a slightly better camera. Even if both are the same on the paper. However, the Ipad Pro is very old. I have the opportunity to sell the Pro for €250 and keep the Ipad air. For which I didn't have to pay anything. It's definitely logical to keep the Ipad air and sell the Pro. I miss the 120hz very much, or I imagine it. But I'm still very unsure. Any thoughts on this?
