After some thinking, I decided to instal a Performance Chip from John Gemi, the stage 12K. In this video I'll take you along the install and after that it's time for a test ride!

l been using this genius chip more than 5 or 6 years l can't remember. And from the first day till today it's just amazing. Thanks John again it's pretty amazing upgrade for our beemer. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Also you have to apply TPS resetting procedure after the chip installation , otherwise cant take effect . Then ride 5-6 km. for remapping the ECU .

Good video. I just ordered a performance chip from John. Does your GS have the stock exhaust and catalytic converter? If "yes", then you might not feel as much of again with the chip. My GS has a cat-delete mid-pipe and a very free flow exhaust...so, I'm hoping for a very noticeable gain. And yes, my bike is already very loud. 😀

Hey Rockgin, mine also got a cat delete and aftermarket exhaust (with DB-killer). In my opinion it produces a very nice moderate sounde 😉

I have the exactly same bike i think ...94 plastic tank ? Anyway, u know your stuff around the bike and i wanted to ask , what do u think that i have to be worrie of??any major issues ?? Thank you 🙏

I've the steel tank, and the bike is from '97. If you go offroading on the bike make sure you install the gearbox reinforcements. For the rest, some TLC from time-to-time, but the bike is pretty straight forward to work on.

Hi, costs? A performance measure before and after the change would have been great. So it's a bit blabla, sorry. Also fuel consumption difference would have been great... regards!

Hey Geckos27, I got it during a discount action from John and paid 60 euro i believe, normally they're around 100 euro. John has some before and after results you can review for the horse power and torque. Fuel economy is nice, but I don't do enough repetitive riding to get meaning full results.

Are you running stock injectors or did you upgrade them?

Why are you doing every upgrade i will do. Before i do... Complete thumbs down. Reported the videos.... While i was searching for these chips i came across another upgrade. Lennies Rocket Sprockets. I could give it a try but they are a tiny tiny bit expensive for me. Around 260 dollars over my budget.... If you are interested perhaps we can contact the guy and ask for a price reduction in return for promoting the sprockets.

Hey parçala behçet, I've the bike a bit longer, so I'd some more time to think about the upgrades. I crashed it almost 2 years ago and used the 'fixing' also as an excuse to upgrade parts ;). Are you from the Ride with Alex channel? I've not came across the lennies rocket sprockets and I've spend most of my bike money by now 😇 and gonna spend some time riding now the weather gets better. If you've some good experience let me know, I'm interested for sure

@@M0Tourist I am just joking of course. Almost everyone makes these upgrades. I was searching for the transmission reinforcement and your video was the only one. This is how i find you. I also know ride with Alex because he made a video about buying the cheapest 1100gs. I proudly let him have the bad news that the one i found was even cheaper. So that was how i first met Alex.

Haha, the cheapest is always up for a cheaper one 😜. I still really like the GS and I don't think I'll sell it anytime soon😎

@@M0Tourist Lets see if they will manage to ban all combustion engines till 2030... I want to do some riding before they ban our vehicles.... I didnt plan to have a BMW. I was kind of avoiding BMW because everyone is like "fck you BMW your spare parts prices should be illegal".. 1100gs got the most points when i made a list about the things i want from a motorcycle, I sadly accepted the situation and started hunting for a 1100gs. Fun part is: According to German statistics i am living below the poverty line...
