Also of note is that there is a trail side campground in Karnak that is owned by the city. It is called the Brothers Campground after the Brothers lumber company which was once served by the RR. Great Video as always!

That looked like a great time. I’m gonna have to do an overnight on the Tunnel Hill Trail. Glad you got to try out a Hipcamp. It’s hard for me stay in campgrounds after getting tranquil private property to ourselves.

It’s actually no where near the flattest we’ve ridden, but very well engineered so the climbs are long and gradual.

Another Well done video Nathan, I have ridden the inside of this trail several times over many years, but never to any endpoint. This video encouraged me to start/see the endpoints - and the Spring would be the most preferred time. For those not familiar with the Trail, the most scenic area (majority of this video footage) is in the Central Section (Gorge Area of Forrest) between New Burnside and Bloomfield. Most Cyclist do out and backs going through the Tunnel and crossing Tressel Bridges. This past weekend we started at far end of Eldorado and out/back 26/52mi just short of the Tunnel (darn). Probably will never repeat that, but enjoyed it just the same. People should be aware that Cell Service is sketchy and there just isn't much to see/do except the Trail itself and you should ride/pack your gear accordingly. Hopefully before the end of the month we will do out/back from Vienna to see the other End!! Great Video!!

I travelled to Paducah many years ago on business and all I remember is tobacco...lots of tobacco... but a really beautiful area nonetheless. Thanks for sharing another great trip! And love your music choices!
@KentuckyCycling
@KentuckyCycling 2 жыл бұрын
I'd say it's more corn and soybean these days, with a little tobacco thrown in here and there. But, yes, it's still very beautiful in it's own right. If you go to Paducah proper, be sure to visit downtown and the waterfront. With the confluence of both the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers, the river is impressive. And they've got a nice floodwall with murals painted with a lot of history, and even a Greenway.

What exactly is a "hipcamp"? I don't believe that I have ever heard that term used before and I have been camping all of my life. Also see that you are still sporting those Molokos. Long term review coming soon? I really like the looks of them and have added them to the list of equipment for an upcoming gravel build that I am contemplating.
@KentuckyCycling
@KentuckyCycling 2 жыл бұрын
Hipcamp is basically the.Airbnb of the camping world. It's a service that allows private landowners to book camping on their property. See www.hipcamp.com/en-US. Re the Molokos, I'm digging them. I don't know that I'll do a long-term review as I'm not sure I would have anything new to offer.

@@lawrence1md Chest mount is still one of the better options for that generation of GoPro. But, the image stabilization improvements are a very compelling reason to consider an upgrade.
