Always wanted to try your hand at making Filipino classic kakanin? Now’s your chance! Here’s a simplified version of everyone’s sticky favorite: Biko. You don’t need special powers (equipment or ingredients) to prepare this simple merienda. The jackfruit topping makes it even more delicious. Have a sweet treat and share with your loved ones! Let’s start cooking #SimpolBikowithLangka!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup glutinous rice
1 cup coconut cream
3/4 cup coconut, muscovado, or brown sugar
pinch of salt
3 pieces jackfruit (langka), cut into strips
1 to 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil

Hi love ko po lahat halos ng recipe nyo. Pwede po mag request ng subtitle sa mga sangkap kasi po i have a daughter na deaf , she love cooking and love din po nya ang style ng cooking nyo. Thanks for this procedure, chef. Ganyan din po magluto ng biko ang tatay at nanay ko (na parehong namayapa na: sumalangit nawa+). Ang tawag po nila (in Waray) sa ganyang style ng biko is 'inahog'. Anise seeds ang ginagamit nilang pampabango, kaya nasanay po akong may anise ang kakanin. But your use of ripe langka is a very welcome and delicious twist. Blessings po!

Wow! Talaga pong nagustuhan ko ang presentation po ninyo. Ngayon nagkaroon na naman ako ng bagong kaalaman sa pagluto ng biko. "You're very artistic po" at isa pa ganito ang gusto ko to start the recipe with just enough for 4-6 people. Learn to more recipes from you. God bless.

Yes anise seed is so mabango sa biko.our neighbor sa cebu may tanim na anise tree.i always ask a fresh leaves from her for my biko.same aroma as the seed.meron din niyog dito sa state idol..from Mexico but tinatamad ako mag kodkod wala akong kudkuran na kagaya sa amin sa cebu dito so rather choose the can nalang. Medyo di namihan ko lang.two cans.yong premium cocomilk from Thailand
