The word of faith crowd always overlook the fact that their message doesn't work for persecuted Christians, who because of their affliction are walking closer and depending more wholly on God. They are in a spiritually better place than the rich fakes. There is a glaring disconnect there that goes unacknowledged on purpose.

Interesting how you read the passage that says we should go around saying “If the Lord wills…” In the gospels, you only find Jesus saying something similar to that ONCE and only ONCE…so I don’t think you used that verse in proper context. Rather, you misinterpreted it poorly. Matthew 26:39 King James Bible And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. If it be thy will is to be prayed only where the Will of God isn’t already known. As believers, we have plenty of scriptures that specifically tell us what the Will of the Lord is so saying “if it be thy will” all the time tells me you have no clue what the Bible already says on the matter 📖

Same here! I have been destitute and homeless, yet never neglected nor rejected by Jesus Christ! He was the only stable One in my life! We who go through these hardships in life, really know who THE LORD is, and no one can take THEM away from us! HOSANNAH!

Not sure this is specific to Bethel. This is a Word of Faith thing, so it would apply to a large amount of prosperity gospel people.

Brother, we do need money! It buys us comfort and joy, let's not underestimate its value in our human lives. The The Lord's birth announcement was "...comfort and joy..."; and the Wise Men did bring gold as one of their gifts. Money is NOT evil; it is the greed that humanity has for it. People think they can buy more of "life" if they have more money...what an illusion!

Yes, my parents were victims to this Name it and Claim It movement as well. My sister and I suffered for it, as did my parents. Then we all started reading the Bible for ourselves. And we sadly became wary of many pastors and teachers. But we never lost our faith in our Lord. He warned us about false teachers.

No piercings, tattoos, chains, rings, braids. Dress properly. Stay away from the roman catholic stuff. Repent of your sins. Ask the Lord what you have to change in your life. Baptism in the name of Jesus. Test the spirits. Warn others

The church I use to attend started praying this as they took on the same role model as Bethel Church. Things got really weird so I left.

@@mick9371 I don't believe in the prosperity Gospel. We are not to be looking to all the riches in this world, but unto the things which are unseen. To heavenly things. Our lot is not in this life. Christ did not come so that we can have out best life now. Christ said that we would be hated for His name's sake, and that we would be persecuted because of Him. I'm not saying we have to be poor... People can have money, but it's gross to see a whole prayer centered around finances. It's disgusting and I guarantee you that Christ wouldn't condone such things. Think of the rich young ruler and such. God can bless us with money, but we shouldn't be focused on it and make it an idol. If I'm poor so be it, if I have money so be it, but if I have Christ in either circumstance I am rich. This is all material, and is passing away.

@@mick9371 rarely, but I didn't say that. I've lived on the streets and didn't even exactly pray for money, but God provided for me anyways. I don't agree that it's something a church should focus a whole prayer on. You can really tell what the church is all about when they put a large emphasis on money, and you giving to get and such. People should give out of the goodness of their hearts, and not just so that they can get back in return. The motives of the heart are revealed when it comes to money, and many people make it an idol. It's rocky territory and doesn't sit well with my spirit.

@@susang5445 I have been to a couple since, I actually had to move to find some decent ones, unfortunately they too were a bit wishy washy, i think I’ll need to step into a Baptist Church where the teachings are doctrinally sound. I only know this because I’ve listened to them online & can see the difference in the teachings. What do they call it when a preacher breaks down scripture? Ahh I forgot 🤦🏼‍♀️ although Pastor David Wilkerson is not a baptist he’s still my favourite preacher. 🙏

Don't get me wrong bit I prayed for God to bless me so I could be a blessing, over the last ten years, he has honored that, and has blessed me. I've been able to take in a foster child, provide for my family, friends, and the poor.
