Ozzy said in an interview with Rolling Stone as he responds to hopes for another Black Sabbath reunion: Not for me. It’s done. The only thing I do regret is not doing the last farewell show in Birmingham with Bill Ward. I felt really bad about that.

Bill ward is the most underrated member of Black Sabbath, while Ozzy, Tony and Geezer are the ones who gained the most popularity, i believe that Bill ward is one of the best drummers in rock/metal history, he is certainly my number one, Black Sabbath had a lot of great drummers in their long career, but when they had to play live songs from Bill ward era, one could feel it's just not the same, he's a dynamic drummer while all the other drummers in BS were more technical, i prefer dynamic drummers like Bill ward and the late Clive Burr, i wish to thank Bill ward for all his albums with BS and his solo albums, some of them are really great, God bless him!

Bill Ward was the first time I really heard Drums in music. Grew up in Big Spring Tx, all we had was KBYG, no fm, it was rocking robin and the hardest song i hear was Joy to the World. Then I walked into a friends brothers room and heard Black Sabbath Iron Man on a Stereo playing LOUD, never heard LOUD music except the school band and I had to have that. Got a job, a stereo, and the Paranoid album within two week, never looked back.

If you can find a copy of it (mine's on cassette), Bill's "Ward One: Along The Way" album of 1990 is AWESOME. Ozzy does a track or two, and Bill's vocals are just killer. He was waaay under-rated as a writer/vocalist. I think Ward is on a sparsely populated level, with Mitch Mitchell, Ginger Baker, Keith Moon, and Bonham.

met this man in 80-81 at a bar in So Cal. He was living on the cash he was earning with a small paper route. Still, he was Bill Ward. Sabbath wasn't Sabbath without him. And then when I found out that Judas Priest and Black Sabbath and half of Zeppelin and a lot of others were all from the same city I could hardly believe it.
