That's hysterical. I went to a Stan Kenton jazz camp (this one time at band camp) when I was a kid and didn't know anything. I did the exact same thing when we had our concert. No sound = no mistakes.

Love that hs story. I had a similar experience playing in front of the whole school for a morning chapel. Lost track of the tune and the pianist caried me. Nobody was the wiser, lol. All my classmates who played came down after to check out my rig though. Fun times!

Great lesson. I've used your volume-knob fake-out move myself on more than one occasion. Works like a champ.

Thank you snailspace. Thanks for checking out the lesson. Much appreciated. I've actually had to use the volume knob fake out twice in my life. The other time was when I was 13 years old. I had only been playing for a year and I sat in with my Uncle at a gig. He started calling out tunes that weren't on the set list lol. Keep on Rockin' DAMIAN

Hi, Great interpretation. I am currently studying this tune and your video was very helpful. Can I ask what amplifier you are using in this recording. the tone is amazing and I am really looking for that jazzy clean tone that you managed to get. Thanks alot.
@Damianblf4 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed the lesson. I recorded this a bit ago so I'm not exactly sure which amp I used. But I think it was my Fender Hot Rod DeVille 212

Hi Flying Fish. Thank you for the comment. Glad to hear you're enjoying the lessons. I'll write your request down in my request book. Maybe I'll do a chord melody version of the song. I'm really back logged with a bunch of lessons to film but I will try and get to it. Cheers DAMIAN

Love it! Thanks for another great one! If possible I would love to have the chord progression on this (I know the backing track is just a bass line but I'm assuming it's based on a progression). That would help me wrap my head around how the soloing works. Thanks much!
@Damianblf4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out the lesson Lancelot Link. I really appreciate it. There's a Jazz Blues Backing track in F on KZfaq by a channel called Guitare Improvisation. The backing track shows the chord changes. You may find it helpful. Cheers DAMIAN
