There's so much great Billy Joel you can dive into - - probably a lot of stuff you've never even heard. He has songs inspired by many different genres. Check out River of Dreams, Goodnight Saigon, Pressure, We Didn't Start the Fire, Scenes From An Italian Restaurant. He's a mad genius on the piano and I just don't think you've heard enough of this guy to appreciate the depth and variety of his catalog. However, very nice reaction. I too love this song. I just love the fact that I am 48 years old... Grew up on all of this music in the early 80s... And, now, I'm hearing people who are from their late teens to their mid-30s recognizing the goodness of this music, and saying things like "they just don't make music like this anymore". Ha, you're right! They don't. There's hardly any such thing anymore as feel good music. And, the radio just used to be absolutely full of not only feel good songs, but every other type of song too! There was a great variety and always something fun going on. Just a wonderful time to be alive. Thank you for keeping the music alive! I enjoy both of your reactions.

This whole album, “an innocent man” from 1983, was Billy’s homage to the 50s and 60s. Most songs on the album have a direct reference point: uptown girl was the four seasons, the longest time was doo-wop, and this is Motown.

No his song "The Longest Time" is much more do wop than "Tell Her About It' and it's also a GREAT video, all his videos are!

I've been waiting for another reaction video from you two. Yes, I admit that I was in my early 20s when this song came out. It was ok, just felt a little 'off' the first time I heard it. Still, I enjoyed your reaction plus the comments about today's music. Thanks for sharing 👍🏽

Today's music is very crude unless you are listening to Country. This reveals the good, true, fun nature of music. The style is what used to be called "doo- wop" or a "bop" And yes this was a retro song for the 80s. Hip hop has taken over and because of that love songs in popular music have virtually disappeared. If you compare top 20s of today and compare it to any top 40 or 20 from the 50s through the 2010 you will notice love songs dominate those eras but today they are very rare. The world is a worse place because of it.

I agree, most of the music today does NOTHING for me, it's either crude, angry, depressing or just blah, I can never understand what they are singing, they don't enunciate well enough. Today's "country" is more crossover these days, has been for a long time, but I would rather listen to that today, than the other "stuff" that is out there currently. I stick with the music from the '40s through the '80s (the '50s and '60s being my favorite era for music) plus classical music (Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Strauss, etc) Folk, any kind of Ethnic music ( Irish, Scottish, Hungarian, Polish, Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, East Indian and Native American, etc) and "BIG BAND" music from the '40s and early '50s ( Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Paul Whiteman, and the Dorsey Brothers' orchestras.

I don't think the male reactor listened to the lyrics, and the female reactor definitely did. Communication is key. Tell her about it. Way ahead of it's time. She got it. He just kept going on about the doo-wop sound, and missed the messaging. Also...listen to her. Some more good advice.
