Yes. All the discovery channel type shows eventually get turned into scripted bits or family drama - ala the Tuttles (which actually stressed me out, my own childhood memories of screaming matches 😆)... It's refreshing to just learn about and watch the project at hand.

I love your videos, because you actually show yourself working on the bike. It's not edited so that it looks easy or clean. I work on my motorcycle all the time and it can be a pain in the ass, and messy. As a former avionics technician on F/A-18 Hornets, I really enjoy your professionalism dealing with the electrical components.

It does my heart good to see electrical instruction videos where NO shortcuts are taken! Far too many people who decide to educate the world through a YT video will use a couple of crimp-on butt connectors and call that good. Not Mr. Lane! Not only using solder, but staggering the connectors is very smart. Way too many cars or bikes have melted and burned up their wiring harness from two butt connectors, side by side, positive and ground, then half a$$ed wrapped in black tape, and after some rough roads, not to mention all the vibrations, then it's not if, but WHEN they come apart from a simple crimp, there goes the wiring harness, if not starting a fire and burning your ride down. Billy is showing how it truly needs to be done!

I used to love watching you build bikes on Biker Build Off, your bikes have such a nice style, stance and proportions!Rather than use two hammers, I use a knurled 3 inch long piece of 1 inch brass bar. It doesn’t leave any witness marks and it’s small enough to get in tight spaces to be used to tap awkward items.
