BiMONTHLY GROCERY HAUL FOR OUR FAMiLY OF 10

Жыл бұрынWe got a snow storm the first part of May and our power was out for almost 3 days. We had a generator but it was only for the water, heat and a couple plugs. Wasn’t thinking our power would be out so long so we lost some meat and chicken and fruits & veggies.
This haul was for toiletries, our kids program end of the year party snd Mother’s Day meal shopping.
We are doing really good making sure to eat what we have first. When we first started doing this it was hard to not run to the store so much but then as time went on it’s so much easier. Now my family has to tell me “mom we have no food!” 😉😂
Our next haul will be cheaper because we don’t need toiletries for awhile

White vinegar and baking soda clean multiple things in the house which includes toilets. These 2 products together work really well and it saves money from buying a lot of cleaning products. 😊

I can wear kid size shoes and am happy to say I purchase them when I can. They are often better made, less expensive and there are alot of cute styles. Love your mom's hair. Heather your videos are so much fun.

Heather i'm surprised you dont have a generator , or do you have one but it only runs the necessities for the farm? I lost a freezer and fridge on New years day, it could have been worse, I noticed the fridge stopped working before I lost absolutely everything, still was a kick in the pants, lost about 700 dollars or more i'd say plus the cost to fix the fridge. Thankfully my husband is very good at those types of things and figured out what was wrong, sourced a part and put it in himself. Saved us about $600 on a service call and instilation (likely more)

When you have to buy household items and toiletries it really makes the bill go up. After seeing the weather your family has been going through it makes me glad we live in West Texas. Snow in May is crazy. You are truly blessed. Happy Mother's Day to you and your mom.

For over 2 wks of groceries and a family of 10 plus buying for the kids thing you have going on and toiletry , you still did amazing. Plus replacing some of your food you lost in your frig/ freezer. Sorry about that. It just happened to my son and daughter in-law last wk. Hsbe a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend ❤💐

Your grocery hauls are always so interesting! We just shop for a 2 person household so its a whole different experience! I do have a suggestion to streamline your shopping experience. I notice that you stop multiple times during your shopping trip to point out everything you buy AND THEN you do it all over again once you get home. I think it would be a lot less work and make your shopping trip faster if you don't go over your haul all you shop. Just a thought ☺

Spam is amazing. Shelf stable and wonderful. We were broke when I was little and it was always a treat when mom fried up a slice with rice.

Spam is awesome. I use it in a million recipes.... Spam in scrambled eggs with cheese... Spam sliders on hawaiian rolls with cheese and sauteed onions, spam in split pea soup, spam with potatoes and creamy alfredo bake with crushed chips on top casserole style, grilled spam and cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, spam salad--- ground spam w/ onion pickles and mayo and mixed together makes awesome sandwiches or is great on crackers, you can even make spam meatloaf and its delicious. Hope this gave some ppl some ideas!
