Now I’m looking forward to purchasing “fascinating womanhood”. I’ve been desiring to come across more black women pages who are Christian wife and mothers. And I feel the Holy Spirit led me to you. I still struggle with wearing dresses. I used to get into fights and it seemed to always happened when wearing a dress when younger. I feel very vulnerable in a dress and since I gained weight, it's harder to find a nice dress for myself. I bought 2 feminine dresses that I could not resist getting, and cried when I tried them on. I felt so pretty, something I haven't felt in a long time.

This was a great and honest video. You handled those sensitive topics with such elegance. I've been wearing dresses almost exclusively now for the past few months. I do notice that when I am wearing dresses, it makes me more approachable. One day, an elderly woman stopped me in the grocery store just to tell me how beautiful and put together I looked and how it made her day to see this because it's rare. I also noticed that I am approached more by men (I am married so this isn't anything I am looking for, but I wanted to put it out there for those women who are single and want to stand out). Beautiful dresses will definitely set you apart. When I was wearing clothing that accentuated my feminine sexuality, it was very difficult to make friends. Now, so many women want to talk to me and get to know me. Ultimately, I think the most important feminine garment we can wear is to fear the Lord. There is nothing more feminine and no woman more confident and regal than the woman that pleases God.

I am married and look probably a bit older than my age, which is nearing 40 - and I have worn dresses and skirts exclusively (except for some very muddy gardening chores at home) since I was in my teens. I have often noticed that in the public domain, men and boys are much more polite and chivalrous to me than to other women in the vicinity who are not dressed in a feminine way. Men are called to be heroic. They want to help others, fix problems, save the world...and many are sub-consciously looking for feminine women on whom they might exercise that chivalry. Many modern women spurn and ridicule men for being polite or helpful.

As a professional nail technician with over a decade of experience who's main focus has always been the actual physical health of the nails (and hands/feet) moreso than their appearance, my #1 recommendation above all other things is cuticle oil (or coconut oil, or vaseline, etc. Argan is a favorite. Even lip balm will do in a pinch.) If you can do nothing else, do this. As often as you think about it, whenever you think about it. When you get out of the shower, after washing your hands, before you go to bed, I even had one lady who kept it in her car and would do it at stop lights because that's when she remembered. Keeping the cuticle healthy will keep the entire nail plate and surrounding skin healthy. #2 Do your best to only file in one direction when maintaining your nails. Filing back and forth causes extra stress on the nail plate and can lead to excess splitting, cracking, and/or weakness of the free edge. A 240 grit buffer is my go-to for small catches. Also, toenails should be cut/filed as close to straight across as possible to prevent potential ingrowns from occurring. #3 Keep a nail brush by the sink and/or in the shower. Pretty self explanatory. #4 A great way to easily maintain your cuticles is to just gently push them back with a fingernail/towel after getting out of the shower. And last, but certainly not least, #5...the absolute easiest way to maintain smooth skin on your feet is a pumice stone (or pumi bar). Keep in/on/near your tub/shower and use it at least once a week. You don't need any fancy creams or scrubs or contraptions, just a few seconds of good old friction. Wait until you're near the end of your routine so that any dead skin will have had plenty of time to soften up and then simply scrub it away with the pumice. Just be careful to not accidentally scrub the softer skin on the sides/back/top of your feet as it could easily cause injuries. If your feet are extra dry/calloused...aggressive scrubbing is not recommended or necessary. It may take several rounds, but you'll still get the result you were after without the risk of injury. Remember: calluses are the body's natural way of protecting itself. They didn't just come out of thin air, are there for a reason, and should not be removed. Reduced over time? Yes. Removed? Never. Pair this routine with some lotion/oil of your choosing and a good pair of socks for even better results. I hope it goes without saying that if you are experiencing pain or abnormalities of any kind that you should seek medical care, and don't forget to wash between your toes, ladies!

This is so good! I wasn’t raised to be feminine at all and as a result definitely had struggles early in my marriage. I also learned over the years that odor can be naturally controlled by dietary changes. The more internally moisturized your body is,the better. The more whole based foods you eat, the better. Eating too much processed foods and meat and dairy can cause your odors to smell. I’m so glad you take the time to help us to become aware of these things. I’m loving your platform.

@@Kikuye I understand. Are you married? For the most part I wear the more feminine modest dresses at home since I’m a SAHM, but when we go out in public I will wear other feminine things that are not going to cause attention to myself I even wear jeans and a tshirt or if I want to look nice some flowy pants. Every women is different.. for me, my husband is attracted to the fact that I don’t wear tight clothes in public and he would be okay with the jeans and T-shirts because “he knows what I have” and appreciates that I’m not flaunting it for others to see, the more feminine clothes are for home. The way that people act in the world nowadays it helps a man to feel like a man when their wives present natural feminine energy a simple long dress can do that and it doesn’t have to be tight. Have you considered other ways or dressing I know that there are Christian women who take the modest approach that Jewish or Muslim women take. Sometimes I even cover my hair

Anything else tends to make me feel uncomfortable. I didn't used to pay much attention to what other people wear - or rather now I try and notice the people I wouldn't normally notice, if that makes sense - and I note that things they're wearing would make me feel like I'd be drawing attention, but on them it doesn't necessarily. On the flip side though, now I'm noticing when other women do wear some stuff I may consider immodest at least for myself and am wondering how they're okay with it. I recommend looking into the kibbi body types (not sure if i spelled that right) it will help you find out what shapes will look best on you based on the shapes of your body. For example some people have very angular bodies and or features, while others have rounder.. they call it yin and yang or masculine or feminine, not to say that someone with an angular body can't look feminine, but they will look the best if they do so while staying true to their yang attributed. Think collars, fitted and well structured pieces etc

Hi there, I'm a Mom of 6 children, wife to my best friend of 23 years and daughter of King Jesus. I can relate so much to choosing to leave a career life and submitting my choices to be a stay at home wife, mother and homeschool mom. I can tell you that it is an honor and my highest calling and there are great rewards that come from sacrificially pouring your life into your children and husband. I just came across your channel and have watched several of your videos. I am encouraged and rejoicing that the Lord has given you so much wisdom. You are a beautiful person inside and out and I love how you have chosen to glorify the Lord with your life. Your heart comes across so honestly and clearly. Sharing the truth in love is a rare thing today, you do it very well. You've got a new subscriber here! Have a wonderful day!

I'm very thin but my waistline is only a tiny bit smaller than my hips...it's how I was made. No matter how much I gain or lose, I don't have an hour glass figure. My mom is like this too...but we are very healthy because we are thin and take good care of ourselves. We just have a boxier figure.

Hi. I have a similar built. And I’ve found that when I wear long flowy palazzo pants paired with a fitted top (even T-shirt), I look very feminine. I guess it is because it resembles a long skirt. I’m tall so I prefer the length to be past my ankle. Short plump ladies look superb in culottes (mid calf length). Try out a few in a thrift store or malls and see if it works for your figure. Oh and if you have on heels/wedges you’ll look super elegant. Hope this helps.

I was just telling my husband about you and he agrees very much with you on a lot of topics. He asked if I felt a way about you being so young and I told him no. I have to give words of wisdom and encouragement to most of my female family including my mom and the women at church. As a former teacher I used to always say that there is something to be learned from children (I’m in by no means saying you’re a child). They are the best teachers! Thank you for what you do!

Love this. God Is moving me into a more modest dress. I don't know where I'll end up, but I am starting to get convicted on my pants being to tight. So I have been wearing o shirt around my waist. I feel more comfortable. I can still where pants but not have to worry about being immodest. I am a country girl at heart, so I definitely love me some jeans.

Hey Bindi! I stumbled across your channel just yesterday, and like many other viewers here I've been "binge watching/listening" to them as I go about my day. I grew up in the Church, a traditional family, came to Christ at a young age, and my husband and I are bringing up our daughter in the same environment and in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Your wisdom and insights are a breath of fresh air: as a "church lady" from a young age, the topic of femininity, womanhood, traditional gender roles, motherhood, women in ministry, the ministry of the home etc are all familiar and much explored topics in my circles, but I'm finding I really appreciate the way you are breaking them down for a new generation of women that may not have had access to them previously. 1) I can't help but observe the "background" of your home behind you in your vids. Light, airy, minimalistic, calm and serene - it's obvious the environment you have cultivated in your home is intentional. I am hoping you will consider discussing/going into detail your "homemaking process" as it pertains to cleaning routines and consistently keeping an "easy-to-tidy" space. Lol, every time I watch one of your videos (especially where you are making the beds in the background) I always think "where does this family keep all their stuff? there's like......NOTHING in this room except for the bed!" It's obvious y'all live in a minimalistic atmosphere and I'd like to hear more about it as it pertains to being a professional Homemaker. 2) In regard to this video: I so appreciate your going into detail about the characteristics of an outwardly feminine appearance. In a culture where androgeny is celebrated, it feels......fulfilling to push back with an overtly feminine appearance. I am drawn to a very girly, feminine style aesthetic so I personally really resonate with your style and the tips you've detailed here. That said, I couldn't help thinking: yes we are called to be "feminine" as Christian women - and the Bible details what feminine women ACT like (and some of what they look like) - but some Sister's bodies are better suited to a minimalistic aesthetic, or an outfit with bolder, clean lines as opposed to soft fabrics, ruffles and lace. I think there is room in a feminine, modest physical presentation for clothing, jewelry, accessories, hair, etc that is not overtly "girlie". Your admonition for a Sister to take the time and effort to discover her BEST colors is gold: when she's wearing a color that compliments her, SHE shines. SHE wears and outfit - it doesn't wear her! Even a simple tee + jeans or tee + skirt combo can really make her shine if that tee is in one of her "power" colors. 3) THANK YOU FOR REMINDING US TO MOISTURIZE.

My husband said I am like a "beautiful flower" and I'm encouraged and loved that i can be that for him. Other people/strangers compliment me and I don't feel like it's because I'm trying to be provocative or seductive (I am covered and saving that for my husband), I feel I'm complimented because it's REFRESHING to see a young woman in her femininity and enjoying it! Great and much needed video. Regarding makeup, there are tinted sunscreens that we as women of color (black, brown, olive) can wear in lieu of makeup everyday. An added bonus is that it will protect your skin from indoor and outdoor UV light and help with anti-aging. I wear tinted sunscreen from brands like Revision Skincare and Elta MD. I use a little bit of concealer, setting powder and tinted lip balm from other clean/organic makeup brands to elevate the look. I sometimes add bronzer on the tip of my nose to add more warmth. Save the full face of makeup for special occasions!

This past weekend even though I slept in I made sure to get dressed for the day put myself together. I even put on a dress. lol Wasn't the cutest dress but I was giving cute old lady. lol it was a lovely day i felt really good and I was very productive. I also love that you show clips of you doing stuff around the house because even the images help. Cutting up the veggies or onions I plan to cook with and storing them in mason jars for the week was such a helpful tip I saw you do. I wish that someone would have taught me these things as a younger woman. I don't know if I will ever remarry or have more kids but this content is still helpful for all ladies. Hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

Great video. Thank you! I attend events with a local ministry and out of all the women I'm usually the only one in a dress. I think this teaching is needed.. and missing in the church! Like you, I ALWAYS get compliments from other women about my feminine attire. One woman said "I love how you always wear dresses... you look so beautiful and feminine". I've realized that modesty and beauty in my attire is very noticeable (in a good way!) to the people around me. One thing I am still working on is my posture and the way that I walk. Before I was saved, a woman I went to for "healing" pointed out to me that my posture was very masculine. I turned my hips and belly forward so my silhouette was totally off. This caused me to tighten the muscles in my legs and butt so they just had no cushion left. I also turned my shoulders inward and hunched over. I often sat with my legs open or splayed up on the arms of the chair. I feel so much more feminine now that even my posture is being restored in Christ.

Wonderful content, Bindi. When you said that makeup can reach a point where it starts detracting from beauty, I was shaking my head yes in agreement. Our culture has gone makeup crazy. So many women and men both look like they’re in drag. It’s quite disturbing. I’d also like to add that fake nails, hair, and eyelashes can also detract from a woman’s beauty when it’s clear these things aren’t real. Women should take care in making sure their appearance is as natural as possible. For example, I can always spot fake nails. They tend to look unnaturally wide, thick, and long. I recommend that women stay away from fake nails and, instead, use nail conditioner and light polish to keep their own nails healthy. Fake hair can also be a problem, especially if we refuse to let our husbands see us in our natural state. Wigs and extensions can become an idol. Finally, fake eyelashes have become extreme in our culture. Again, it’s better to condition our real eyelashes and perhaps use a lengthening serum. So many women look “fake” these days and they all look the same. It’s refreshing to see a woman embrace natural beauty.

I’ve been thinking about this very thing for a while. I used to love makeup but I only did foundation and eyebrows. It became an idol because I couldn’t even go to the store without it. It came to a point where I knew it was unhealthy and so I got rid of all the makeup stuff that I had. I used to bite my nails so they were always short but my grandmother has beautiful, naturally long nails. I’ve always admired that and I asked her when I was a kid how did her nails get that long. So she taught me how to take care of my nails. She always used red polish but she told me to keep my nails clean, stop biting them, and use a protective clear polish. She said that red polish was too grown for me😂😂 which I respect. My nails have been beautiful and healthy since. I prefer light colors or a white tip. Super beautiful. I still love braids especially when school starts because my natural hair takes a long time to do, but I don’t hate having my natural hair out as much as I used to. I cried when I had to wear my natural hair. Now I love it and I feel more beautiful with it being out and curly. Even 3 years ago, I would hate having it naturally curly. I wanted it to be straight. I think it’s about time that women embrace the beautiful bodies God designed. God designed me perfectly and I’m more confident than ever.

Some of us women will NEVER have a small waistline. Even when I was UNDER weight, my waist was only 8 inches smaller than my hips. That has been a constant at whatever weight. Some of us just don't have that "feminine" figure, and people feel free to mock our body type. Did God not make us too? Are we not feminine simply because we are not shaped like an hourglass? Should I redesign ( get a butt implant) what God designed first?

Beautiful video, as usual! As to scent (this is not a pushback, just another angle) I think it's important for a woman to know what her husband likes. For me, for instance, my husband has allergies and never knows what will set him off. Though through diet changes and getting healthier as we get older much of that has passed, he's spent an entire lifetime being avoidant of scents (often those natural flower smells you describe that God gave to us were the very ones that would set him off). To this day, even though there are certain essential oils that are totally fine and don't cause him to have a reaction, he has just developed this aversion to scents, so I don't wear anything like that. I'm clean and I don't stink, lol!!! But I don't perfume myself. He says the only smells he likes are smells that are similar to baking or cookies, so my one exception is a dry shampoo which I make with carob powder instead of cacao and arrowroot (because he's allergic to chocolate, and I don't want it in our bed if I don't wash it out at night). When I get into a hot car, apparently the carob kind of activates and releases a lovely, subtle scent of cookies. It was an accidental bonus. I didn't realize it would be so fragrant. But I get that at church all the time, too, when people hug me and I have it in my hair. They back up and say, "OOH, you smell like cookies!" So it's a way of being scented, but it's just carob powder in my dry shampoo, lol. Sometimes I'll dust a little in even when I don't need a dry shampoo just because it's a way to smell nice without any issues for anyone.

So encouraging to hear your take and experience. In addition to your description of feminine dress, I have asked myself if it is “graceful/restful.” This, I think, is a big feminine gift we give that we can embody. I really wish you would do a series on sexuality in marriage. mindset around it, cultivating sexual connection with yourself and spouse, the good and bad from doing or not doing these things, making space for it in your life, how you personally feel about this topic, etc. The curch has failed so miserably at teaching couples and especially women to flourish in their sexuality in the context of a christian marriage. Finding this channel has been such a blessing. God has been getting on me about the way I dress and act for a while. Things like keeping my natural hair healthy and managed, wearing more skirts & dresses that suit my body shape (not to show it off but not every style & pattern looks good on every body shape), keeping my nails done (even just a clear coat), taking care of my body with exercise and proper grooming, and cooking at home since I make really good food. I eventually realized that God was raising me to be more feminine without saying it. It’s been a very difficult journey, but also very beautiful. Having my Father teach me to be a woman has shown me so much of who He is. I used to hate the idea of being a “girly girl”. I was born in ‘97 and most of the movies and shows I grew up watching made the feminine girls or “girly girls” the mean, nasty, and rude ones. I didn’t realize this until I watched a character analysis of Sharpay from High School Musical. It then hit me how I was a victim of brainwashing without knowing it for years. The girl you wanted to be was the main character and she was a tomboy. She was more masculine and it was cool to be her. This is so detrimental to young girls. It does affect them unless they have a woman who can teach them to be more feminine. Bindi has been a blessing to me and I will soon be teaching young girls at my church and I’m hoping to spread this wisdom into them as well. They are around 13 or 14 years old, so it might be hard to change the perspective they have because they are growing up into a more extreme culture.

I recently found your channel and have been blessed by the few videos I have watched. I am a natural since 2011, but after cancer in 2018 my hair is now loc'd. In 2020, the Lord restored me from my backsliding. I've been led of the Lord to clean up my closet. All the topics you've touched on here, I completely agree with. As I can no longer wear commercial perfumes etc, I make my own natural hair and skin products and wear lemon grass, lavender or rose essential oils. I don't personally wear make-up and my opinion is that women shouldn't wear make-up which is a reflection of what Jezebel did in the OT. I think that make-up is a dishonour to and takes away from our natural God given beauty. Please keep up this beautiful ministry that God has given you. Have a blessed day.

I would really enjoy a video on different styles of feminine dress and for different body types. Especially, how to wear dresses and skirts in the winter (very cold) and still look feminine. One of the biggest reasons I wear pants is just the practical aspects.
