@@davideberhardt6150 I am not too late for wanting him back. It is all about the right amount of money for two months out of Stephen's year, really. Sandy gets a lot less than he got, but she also is not as entertaining as he was.

Alan said that Stephen quit over budget cuts (not his salary) that forced the producers to record up to 3 shows per day. That's about 6 hrs recording witty banter (and having to deal with Alan), not including makeup, hair, pre-production what not. Stephen had turned to drinking and fell into a prolonged phase of depression. He quit for his physical & mental health and I don't think he's desperate for money, so he most likely will never return to this position, @@cush6827
