The thing about the Impressionists is spot on. When I was younger I didn't see the big deal at all. I had LASIK done a decade ago and as I've forgotten what the world looks like blurry I've begun to like them more and more.

Using a very sharp knife is one of the best ways to reduce tearing when chopping onions. A sharp knife causes less damage to the cell walls of the onion, releasing fewer irritants that cause tears. Also, you can chill the onions in the fridge before chopping to slow down the release of the eye-irritating chemicals.

People dissing bagpipes 😒 they're beautiful! I remember being swept away with the band at Plymouth Navy Days.. the marching snare, the rhythmic BOOM BOOM of the bass drum.. I was gone! Put that at the front and I'm in your army! Bagpipes often make me cry too... such a melancholic instrument.

I cut onions every day at work. It literally just depends on the batch of onions. Sometimes they come in and are super juicy. Those are the ones that'll make you cry.

@@Who_Let_The_Dogs_Out_10-7 Yup. Crying while chopping onions is caused by getting the juice in your eyes. Any method of avoidance that doesn't work by keeping the juice out of your eyes is nonsense.

I’ve only been to an ophthalmologist, didn’t know what differentiated them from optometrists. In the United States, optometrists aren’t required to go to Medical School. Instead, typically a B.S. then ~4 years in a professional program to receive a Doctor of Optometry degree. More you know and what not. 💫

The letter they show on the left at 20:14 doesn't seem to say what she says though. It looks just like a standard letter that they receive a lot of requests and can't fulfil all the requests. It doesn't seem to ask him to stop sending so many letters either. Dodgy research by the elves. Or shoddy presentation by the props department.
