The way I think he may be songbird is when fink asks him to join him when he was in that movie theatre or bar with the curtain but instead of declining his offer he accepts it and he ends up being songbird because Booker from the start said that fink's could not be trusted

What I noticed is that there is a huge pattern here: Booker had his daughter stolen from him and now Booker wants her back Songbird had Anna (Booker’s Daughter) stolen from Booker (At least that’s what Songbird thought) and now wants her back Comstock had Anna stolen from booker but this time Booker brung his daughter to himself But all ended up dying the same way chasing after the same thing with the intent to protect Anna

I honestly grew very attached to Booker. It breaks my heart when he dies in infinite and burial at sea. I really hope he somehow comes back in future bioshock games

Comstock knew about the AD brand, so maybe the Lutece's tried to rescue Elizabeth before in that universe with a different version of Dewitt like they did before in other universes (or perhaps that same one) and he failed and got caught by Comstock. They had plenty of tallies on that board for coin flips.

Its too bad Songbird isn't just Booker from another timeline who also wanted his girl back and he agreed to this because he believed this was the closest he could be to her.

I always thought Songbird is us, the player, because of how much we the player have IMPRINTED on Elizabeth the way he does. We want to protect Elizabeth as Songbird does, to the point that we end Booker DeWitt at the end of the game to set her free. But because we the player assumed the role of Booker DeWitt, who is also Comstock, that means we the player are Songbird, Booker, and Comstock!!! Everything is connected! My head hurts...

Andrew Ryan is also an alternate Booker, but the way I see it is branches. You can change Comstock with Booker, but you can't change Ryan since it's a completely different branch. He's still "the man" variable.

I always think songbird was made up from only booker,one never selling Anna and trying to get her back. these combination of actions made him unique and perfect for be bodyguard

I think it was supposed to resemble a bird bath for symbolic purpose, but what Comstock was drowned in was supposed to be a vessel for holy water in prayer blessings. The area they were in was one made for Comstock to pray in. This makes his drowning more ironic and fitting. He became Comstock thanks to a Christing, usually done using holy water from a raised vessel resembling like this; and died by one. Booker also died through a Christing..the one that would have resulted in Comstock. The only one who drowned but not in a christing or holy water, was songbird..however..he is a creature reborn from Rapture science so it only be fitting he die on the waters of Rapture.

Also that would be highly possible if the Booker Dewitt is Subject Delta theory is correct because the whole Rapture and Columbia is intertwined because the last bioshock after you piece everything together shows that a lot of theories are correct in their own ways but one thing is if that is Booker Dewitt in songbird why is he trying to kill himself and would that be the Booker Dewitt that we never got to play in the original bioshock infinite. Also why is one of the Dewitt in that universe and the other universes they took a tear into not in exsistants. Unless the law that we know in real life does not apply or can be explained to why both bookers are present in that dimension because the whole game revolves around real life philosophies.

Father Booker Son Songbird Holy Spirit Combstock Combstock, songbird, nor Anna would exist without booker ever having existed Booker creator The Son, song bird, made to lift people into the sky like his personal Rapture (ooo punny) Holy Spirit Combstock, he can travel through time and space to effect the universe and perform ""great works"" and shares prophecies with his words. I'm still split between Constance and Booker. I won't go over some of the better known pieces that make me think Booker, as you covered many of them quite well, one extra piece of evidence that I was wondering about however is this: What about the version of Booker who is left knowing he had a hand in not only abandoning, but murdering his only child of his diseased wife? Comstock is, or was already crazy, and we can assume that he has the knowledge from the Twins that he can basically reach into any one of an "Infinite" number of tears to find another Anna-Elizabeth. *Enter the rabbit hole* In Burial at Sea, you watch Elizabeth/Anna get decapitated as a baby which pretty much means that she is completely dead and gone in one universe. Since the Leutece Twins seem to be able to show up anywhere to "help" (After being murdered by Comstock, they seem to have gone from their mission of answering the universe's questions to helping people f*ck up the time space continuum/their lives) I wonder if Booker made some kind of deal with them to get to Columbia, and this particular one out of the however many tally marks there were denoting the attempts made by Booker ended up captured, tortured and brainwashed into Songbird. I might have interpereted something different here than most Bioshock fans who compare the process of "Songbirdification" to becoming a big daddy... Although similar, I don't think the technology was developed or employed the same way between Suchong and Fink's designs. Suchong's method of developing big daddies was basically to splice the shit out of a guy, in most cases stripping them of voice, memories and personality AKA their former selves and then sealing them into a diving suit. We can call this the "medical" approach for reference. Fink's lab features a torture room reminiscent of A Clock Work Orange, with restraints, monitors, cages and other nice things like these, which makes me think he used more of a "psychological" and mechanical approach to achieve his results... Whether it came from him not understand how to, or not having the technology and skillset available to him to completely change the person he was manipulating (Either unaware of all the affects/applications of ADAM, or uninterested in wasting what ADAM he had access to on experiments that might not work.) I think his lack of understanding/experience with ADAM, especially in context of genetics and the medical field is what resulted in the design flaw regarding Handymen Autobodies, he didn't quite know how to apply this new tool until he started devoting time and reseach to Songbird and whoever is inside it. I beleive he saw the Big Daddies through the tears and thought they looked like robo-boys, which Suchong allowed him to believe. Might be a talking point for the scrapped robot little sisters talked about in game. ADAM could of helped adapt the person to their new body, being like "clay" when purposed for and applied to DNA/gene therapy... or even used to avoid much of the exosuit/autobody to begin with. Either way an individual might have adjusted better post procedure with the addition of ADAM therapy but this could also be the reason why Handymen don't seem to exhibit the same loss of humanity or sanity when compared to the Big Daddies or splicers of Rapture... he (Fink) was much more mechanically/industrially inclined and motivated VS. Suchong who we know as a genuis doctor, scientist and surgeon that could utilize peromones to control both Little Sisters and Splicers. I think I read somewhere that Fink sourced his own seaslugs, but I feel like the reality is that the two scientists were exchanging resources and information through the tear as you hear an audio log of Fontaine all pissed off because they're burning through too many seaslugs and too much ADAM with the drinkable solution that "Suchong" proposed to Andrew Ryan, and this is cutting into his profits. I wonder if the Vigors actually require more ADAM or if there was just kind of a black market thing going on between both cities and the tears between them? Anyway, back to the topic at hand. It's my theory that if Songbird might indeed be Booker, one that he was essentially tricked, forced or talked into undergoing this transformation by Fink to be with and protect his daughter who he himself accidentally killed as an infant in another universe. There is a scene where Fink outright asks Booker if he'd like a job as "head of Fink Security", I wonder if it's because he's impressed with his work or if it's because he knows what he's capable of, and he has successfully worked with one of Bookers alternate selves? We see a second piece of operational Songbird Armor... Whose to say the rest of it isn't being stored away somewhere? Was this intended as a potential fate for our in-game Booker perhaps? One Songbird for Comstock, one for Fink? What makes me think it's NOT Booker is the lack of information we have about Constance, the girl who wanted to be friends with Elizabeth since she was a little girl plus what we DO know about her. We can assume based on there being like, two audio logs that something less than ideal happened to her... but what? Perhaps through the connections of the Leuteces (before they were murdered) she was getting help to sneak in and see Elizabeth, or was somehow otherwise roped into things and subjected to the experiments and eventually transformation by Fink as he had learned (one way or another) that she was totally devoted and obsessed with getting to meet "The Lamb" and would be potentially willing protect her. We can also assume that in order to produce enough ADAM to power something like that, that a seaslug would have needed to be embedded into the host before being sealed into songbird. This process only works with little girls, who turn into "little sisters" and eventually with age, become "unstable and confrontational", yet still protected their Little Sister counter parts... Also, Songbird brings Elizabeth books and toys and stuff while shes growing up in the tower. Enter the scene where we see Elizabeth and Songbird together for the first time, when Elizabeth reconnects Songbirds breathing apparatus. Elizabeth states "He must have been in a fight or something", which I think is a device to throw people off... At this point in 2017/2018 he/she are literally just words lol. Anyway, I wonder if this was a final test to see if "Poject: Contance/Songbird" was successful or not, and the tube was deliberately removed which at that point left Songbird to instinctually fly to Elizabeth and hopefully bond with her before passing away. Either way, we can assume whoever is in there that they were kind of "built in" to the body like a cyborg, or one of the Handymen vs. a Big Daddy which we can observe as much more biological/organic in nature than the giant winged beast we know as SB. I don't think the "genetic code" of whoever is inside Songbird was rewritten, as much as I think the ADAM was used to "power" the body that would control such a huge suit (think the battle against Fontaine) and sort of like Jack from the first game, had their memories and experiences created/corrupted in a lab as to meet theirs, or rather their creators purposes. It is interesting how the Infinite DLC complete an entire about face for Suchong. In the earlier games and the Rapture novel, he tends to be at odds with Tennenbaum over the i.portance of genetics. Suchong starts but being very insistent on the science of mental conditioning being much more important in behavior results than biology. Tennembaum however urges that everything is in genetics if we only can crack the secret in how to alter then the right way. It is very much the argument nature versus nurture. Tennenbaum came from a hostile environment where she had to embrace apathy and scientific pursuit to survive. Her mentor was also obsessed with genetics but in the Third Richt's less scientific/more politely skewed manner. She grew to see humanity in general as specifments of natural genetic science but also viewed children in a more sympathetic manner for her own loss of innocence at a young age. Suchong was a child of a servant to a wealthy family with no cultural discipline since they could afford to act however they wanted. He saw all children as chaotic beasts for this reaosn a d looked down on any cultural structure did not meet his standards. We do see a slow reversal of both but much more on the side of Tennenbaum. Despite the genetic alterations into beasts, the little sisters still acted like little kids which haunted Tennenbaums guilt until she sheveloped into a fairly motherly person. She pivoted hard and became very focused on nuture over nature for the most part. She is showing that woth her treatment of the sisters, tries to reach out to Jack's best intentions and guides him to "become" a big daddy so the sisters will associate him with the positively conditioned figure. Further, if you do as she says and is good to the sisters, you get the good ending. She recognizes that you were never your father's son by your actions and that she suspects what you truely wanted was the family you got. If you hurt the sisters, you will get a variation of bad endings where you force her to make a relapse. She says she should have expected you would be cold and self serving, as you are your father's sons genetically. We know the cannon ending is the one where she becomes more focused on the importance of nature and returns to rapure to save the new little sisters as well as end the cycle of Rapture she helped create. Suchong on the other hand, was slowly seen to hesitantly embrace the success of genetic manipulation. He does continue to blend it with his conditioning practices but we never see him fully embrace genetics like Tennenbaum did with behavioral treatment..that is until the DLC. We see his attempts to condition the big daddies to pair bond with little sisters was not working and he fully embraced it as something only genetics could solve..which lead to the greatest irony of him being wrong in this case. Even if he had stuck to only mental conditioning practices however, it would likley not have worked. Suchong was very analytical in his methods, going more for pavlovian conditioning that affects basic automouse funtions on a cause effect basis OR a blend of that and genetic triggering respoces. Suchong was never sentimental and would not consider an emotional element playing imporance to the act. He may repeatedly try to trian the daddy's and sisters like domesticated animals, through reward and punishment, but would never consider a "team-building" exercise to be what was needed. In the end Rennenbaum much greater embraced the importance of nurture IN ADDTION to nature whereas Suchong doomed himself by typically seeing things in the maot simplistic and extreme manners. Tennenbaum was not only adaptable to new concepts but ran with them, recognizing contingent foreign concepts to her like emotional bonding holding significance in an organisms mental behavior beyond the chemistry aspect. Also, you missed the point..it isn't that the oxytocin only works in certian realities but that Suchong and Fink were approaching the situation as cold scientist who believed it was the ONLY factor in bonding people. We know this is not the case and an emotional/interaction element also is important. If you spray amy random man and woman with the stuff, they won't hit the ground banging or start taking a mother/son role. The chemical invites the behaviors but won't cause ot on its own. It is when it is combined with the sentimental acts that the songbird bonds with Elizabeth and the Daddy's bond with the Sisters.

After listening to your theory a second time, I have another theory of y own about Songbird. The idea is that all universes have the same people, just not the 'same' people. As Rosalind said, there's a Rosalind behind a mirror who is and isn't her. I personally think Songbird can't be booker, because Comstock is Booker. Instead I think that Songbird is Columbia's version of Elizabeth's mother, her real mother. Assuming Booker didn't have make Elizabeth with an alternate version of Lady Comstock, then taking the still living version of Elizabeth's mother, and then tapping into the genes that promote maternal protection of one's biological child, combined with the heavy gene splicing, brainwashing and cybernetic modifications, then I would think that would make sense for Songbird to be once another version of Elizabeth's real mother.

I don't think this theory holds any water. If Booker dying by drowning was one of the "constants" and the variable was the location, then the death of Rapture's Booker (from Burial at Sea) breaks this pattern. A more interesting pattern I think is that all of the protectors of the little girls have to die in order for them to be freed. Songbird is obvious, but the same happens to all big daddies you encounter (according to the canon version anyway). The same happens with Delta as well.

Yo, the thing Commstock is drowned in is called a font and they’re used for baptisms. So Commstock and Booker are both drowned in some kind of baptism setting - I’m not sure how that relates to Songbird though. There’s a case to be made that Songbird drowning in Rapture is a baptism parallel because the technology used to create them was made in Rapture, perhaps?
