I feel like the 5 characters most of us expect are Diddy, Funky, Pauline, Kamek (since he was cut from 2 Mario Kart games, 64 & 8), & Petey (Piranha Plant Cove is likely gonna be included in the Booster Course Pass). And since Nintendo specifically said returning characters only, that automatically rules out any guests like Marth (plus they mostly stick to in-house Nintendo for crossovers in Mario Kart anyway) or Zelda. With that said, Pac-Man *IS* a Mario Kart veteran by way of the arcade games. Plus we had R.O.B. in Mario Kart DS......if they listen to you & give him legs.

I would kill for a playable chain chomp or thwomp specifically because they don’t have limbs and I find that hilarious.

Pauline was in tour, so I think it's very possible she gets added! The tracks were also from "past" games yet some tour tracks are coming to the game before they even come to tour! :D

Singapore was used as one of the countries in Cruis'n Blast so it's not a stranger to Nintendo racers. It hits a lot of the same landmarks and it's just a gorgeous source of visuals.

All the other characters will 99% be from past Mariokart games but a Pokémon rep would be hilarious. Like imagine Professor Oak in Mariokart

I wish for Wiggler to be added, since he is a stupid and funny character. What made him at least stand out and feel more unique than the other characters in MK7, was whenever he would get hit, he would turn red and get angry and you hear train whistle noises.

I think Kirby should've been in since we've seen him on rainbow road AND he can drive wheelie or his star, it's an easy slam dunk too

So I want to point out that the Booster Course Pass states that *returning* characters will appear this means no brand new characters that have not been in any Mario Kart, furthermore it's basically guaranteed that the characters must be in Mario Kart Tour so as much as some people may want R.O.B to come back unless he gets added to Tour it's unlikely, some people may point out the the Booster Course Pass was said to feature "returning tracks" but Yoshi's Island is new however Yoshi's Island has been datamined from Tour for quite a while so while it hasn't appeared in Tour yet it is still from Tour in origin, simply put nothing in the Booster Course Pass will be made just for the Booster Course Pass and everything will come from Tour in one way or another, content in the Pass must come from Tour or be planned for Tour

Is there an error with Singapore's score? It ended up in the "Pretty Good" category, a tier above Amsterdam and Riverside Park, both of which have 14, but Singapore had 12 in the individual ranking, which is odd because the comments about it were quite positive. Other than that though, another great ranking video, love the way these are formatted

I personally really don't know why everyone sees Funky as a safe bet. Sure, he was in Wii, but it always seemed like they only put him in because they needed another large character so every size class had the same amount. He's not even as prominent in the DK games as Dixie or Cranky. My man Kamek, however, has been getting the short end of the (magic) stick for way too long now. Like, he was planned in MK64 but cut and then he never appeared, despite being one of the most important characters lore-wise. This guy is basically Bowser's dad and appears in mainline or RPG-games where not even Wario or Daisy are ever seen.

It’s a pipe dream, but it would be cool if they added some Xenoblade stuff. Like Shulk as the character, Juju buggy as the kart, and aionios as the track, with Melia’s battle theme from XC3 as the music. It already sounds like a Mario kart 8 song, like come on

I think the best five choices for the remaining character slots, at least in my opinion, would go as follows: - Pauline and Diddy, mainly for all the reasons Capt. pointed out in the video; very popular, they seem to be everywhere in Mario spin-offs, and it's very weird they're not here already. - Captain Falcon, for all of the obvious reasons; game already features a kart, two tracks, and a Mii costume from the F-Zero series, on top of the game featuring anti-gravity, which is seen pretty frequently in F-Zero games. - R.O.B., just because he was in MKDS, and it would be nice to see him make a return to the series. - Kirby, primarily because the Sm4sh reveal trailer for Rosalina put the idea in everyone's heads all that time back. He could definitely drive. Probably.
