I've been really getting into fixed blades lately, Dark timber, dan tope and bark river, I've been loving having some 3v I can baton and chop with in the woods.

I have the Dawson camp knife with Sand Viper Cerakote. Very sturdy practical blades. Spent an Arizona trip in Prescott intending to visit Dawson's forge but I never made it out of Whisk Row Pub. The Javalina is actually an animal in Arizona that ran in front of our Grand Jeep Cherokee and was 10 feet away from becoming Roadkill.

I have an Ontario SP5 that use for yard work. I put a 20 degree convex edge on it with the work sharp and have never had a problem with chipping, and I'm and not careful with it either. Convex edges on outdoor knives are so underrated.

Been training/using swords for a few decades now & i'd recommend getting yourselves a set of oak or hickory bokken to practice with. That way you can stop that blade on a dime. Then nothing gets cut that isnt supposed to.

That sword is awesome. Just got a custom blade from usa i designed myself in 80crv2 its thinner than most kitchen knife. I dont like thick over built blades myself

Do you think Dawson will be at Bladeshow? May have to break my fixed blade cherry with them. Are the finishes done and then clear cerakoted or is the whole finish a cerakote?

Wonder how the edge retention on that sword. How many zombies can you hack before it needs a tune up? I mean, if you are in a zombie apocalypse, you don't wanna have to stop and send it in for sharpening every 12 or 13 zombies, right? You have to get as many as you can before the season closes.
