Happy birthday Sweet Logan! Crystal, the end of the vid, talking about paying it forward and the blessings received, taught me a good lesson of this 25+yrs ago. I had been in a very bad car accident, and had pretty rough injuries from it, I had been in the hospital 3weeks, and rehab hosp 3mo. When I was able to come home, our church family set up daily meals brought for my family, every day for a month! The 1st-2weeks home, a different lady from our church came, and would sit with me, there to help if needed. One lady wanted to clean house top to bottom (it wasn’t THAT bad thankfully lol), but I felt kinda weird having someone I knew, clean my house, so I thanked her and said when my husband got home from work, he and I would get it all done (she obviously knew I wouldn’t be able to do much of anything!). She came over, sat beside me and said by cleaning my home wasn’t to be nosey and tell everyone how dirty it was, or all that other gossip mess. She said before she came over, she prayed, asking GOD to use her where she was most needed, and by my not allowing her to clean, essentially, I was denying her the blessing she would be getting by cleaning my house! Man!! By putting it THAT way, I couldn’t very well still tell her no! Since then, every time I’ve wanted to bless someone, and they’ve said no Ty, I would tell them they are denying a big blessing I would be getting by helping them! I’m so proud of Logan for his givers heart!

Does anyone else have the tradition of shopping and choosing their own gift/s on their birthday? Growing-up, the anticipation of the birthday gift surprise was part of the fun. We could leave hints, or ask out-right, for what we were hoping for, but we never knew 'til the day. The year I turned 8 was the exception. I had a half-day off school and had my ears pierced. I also went with my mum to choose a new bedroom suite. I'm 61 now. We still have it in the spare room.
