TIPS : With a concussion, he shouldn’t be on the phone, watch tv, or even be around a lot of noise (which I know is hard with the big family). He should be in his room with the lights off, relaxing. I myself have a big family, and have had over 5 concussions from playing soccer. I hope you see this so you guys can be careful!! Hope he’s doing better! Also, YES give yourself a break. You just had a baby!!!

Hi. I am a little concerned: I see Jake was on his phone, when he was on the couch after the ER visit. The doctor and/or nurse probably gave instructions to have "brain rest" after a concussion. When I had a concussion almost 2 years ago, they gave me instructions of brain rest for at least 48 hours. No screens: meaning no cellphone, t.v., computer, and no reading; basically rest. Hope he feels better soon. P.S. a milkshake might be a nice option while his mouth is healing: straw, cold, yummy!

I had a concussion this past winter from slipping on ice. Jake needs to be off his phone and away from all screens. If he doesn't, you could see some post-concussion syndrome issues creeping in like chronic headaches, and issues with mood swings, nausea, memory, and vision. Believe me, it's hard. He's going to be so bored, but his brain needs time to rest and recover.

please keep a close eye on jake and take him to a neurologist. my concussion ended up being a brain injury and i have permanent memory issues and constant migraines, even ten years later

I’m so glad y’all went to the hospital right a way with Jake’s injury especially with the concussion. I have had two concussions and my brother has had 4 concussions in 10 months. Be sure and check on awake through out the night because of his concussions. Any type of injury is serious do not take it lightly. Prays for a fast recovery. Also when you have a concussion do not go to school for a couple of days to a week depending on how serious the concussion is. Also you can’t do any physical or mental exercise that can make toe concussion healing process take longer. You are technically suppose to be in your room in the dark laying on your bad doing nothing just have your eyes closed. Prayers going out to Jake!

If you feel like you are getting too many eggs for you to use you can cook them, crush them a bit and then give them back to the chickens, since they are producing so many eggs its a good way for them to get some of the calcium and other nutrients they lose when producing so many eggs!

I’m 23 years old and I just had my second child 3 weeks ago and can’t get myself to keep up with my daily chores and activities like I normally would. Having 2 children is way different than having one. Your family is seriously amazing.

Awww! Poor Jake, he is so strong. This summer I was in a four-wheeler wreck and had a three inch deep cut in my thigh from the handle bar. Now he knows that he is not the only one with stitches this summer.☺ Love this channel!!!💕💕💕

Must be the universe, I had to get up at 5 just to sort out everything so my regular day could start at 6:30 and I wasn't having a baby or caring for a big family who were all going back to school in this scary pandemic time and having to isolate from their favourite people, their cousins. Concussions are so scary! I love how calm Crystal stayed. Good job mom! As for your chicken eggs you can actually keep them a lot longer if you don't wash them after they are collected. Keep them in a cool dark cabinet. It's counter-intuitive but true: Your eggs will stay fresher if you don't wash them them at all. ... When you wash eggs, you can drive some bacteria in through the pores of the shell, so it's a bad idea to do so unless needed just before cooking as a general practice. If your nests are clean, your eggs should be clean. Happy clucking

Right after a concussion, it is very important to not have a lot of extra noise or screen time. I'm surprised that the doctor didn't mention brain rest. It makes a huge difference in the recovery from a concussion.

Pray for me and my state I live in Louisiana and right now we are going through a double hurricane and things are supposed to get worse and we need all the prayers we can get and if you don’t believe in prayer wish us luck or something because we NEED it the second hurricane just made landfall and some areas will get up to 20 feet of water and in 2016 we went through a bad hurricane and some people are still living in FEMA trailers and some are just getting their houses finished we CANT go through this again so please pray and wish or anything we need it 🙏🏾
