I commend you for your accomplishment and commitment to maintain your celibacy. I will say it’s very difficult for a male. I’m not saying it’s easier for a female because I don’t know. But I speak from the male prospective it’s not easily done. Many of those Catholic priests have a difficult time.

Hi; I feel you (celibate not gay) for going on 29 years in the Lord. I always tell the men young, and old, God will keep you. Must have a strong prayer life, studying the word and apply, trust Him and obey, their's no other way. There's a lot of other pieces, to the single Christian life also. Both sexes should never put themselves in a position to comprise, the word of God, under any circumstances. I can boast on God loving it. I commend you, keep pressing toward the mark of Christ. I knew him when your bishop first started his 1st church in a shotgun house in LongviewTx. My mom picked and dropped him off at that church. I remember when his sister bought him a larger church building. After that, he got an even larger church ,which is where he moved to California from. He moved his secretary to California with him...Humm. He just walked out on his wife and left her in a little house on the corner of Birdsong st. My bible says that preachere should be of NO WINE!! I can say much more of what I KNOW, but I won't.

I have my doubts about him being celibate that long especially if he’s had a sex. Apparently, he did with his ex wife. They have children together. It’s VERY difficult to be celibate. Our eyes are opened and we see a lot of options. Those women were coming for him. They are coming for him now even though he’s married. He has power and position. Temptation can be overwhelming. Our fleshly appetite will be on display. Choose which one. I don’t believe he was celibate for long a time.

I know men of God can be celibate because my husband was celibate for 8 years before me. He was waiting and praying for the right person. We're going into our 5th year together. He's 49 and I'm 62. It's very interesting to me that on one hand people will say- everything happens in God's time and God will tell you when it's time. But then on the other hand we question when people don't do things when WE think they should do them! How do people know that he got married when God told him it was time for him to get married? It's just very interesting to me how people constantly talk out of both sides of their mouths. Now, I don't have a dog in this fight one way or the other.
