When I was 22 yrs old I got married to a man that decided it was okay to put his hands on me! Note yes he was a jerk but never tried that when we were dating. The first time was the last time I left him quickly, called the police he went to jail and our time was over. I do not take abuse from no one....

When you find out your man is on the DL, do not personally confront him about it. He will feel backed into a corner and desperate to keep it quiet. That puts your life in extreme danger. Just leave when he's not home and get to a safe place. Leave a note if you must but please don't stand in his face about it. It hardly ends like you think it will.

Mannnnn......I've been single for a good while now! I am so glad to be free & feel safe, living the single life nowadays! I am 53 and alone, but I am not lonely! I work, do things that I enjoy doing, when I feel like it, spend time with family, grown children & grandkids, and I travel for work in the medical field! I'm cool! I have always said, If a Brother told me he used to date men. I would say Adios! Even if he says." I been delivered ! Some women just want a man so badly. I had a friend who married such a guy, He used to play the organ in the church. His mom was a preacher. Yall he was drop dead gorgeous! They got married moved in an apartment. Her husband said I have a friend who is homeless we can't put him out in the streets. He moved the friend in but when she got home from work they had all the locks on the door locked. She told her husband, He needs to leave! Her husband said, if he leaves I'm leaving, and he did. she was pregnant with her first child. I saw her at a church conference and she was looking very sad. she told me people at church are attacking me, because they said "we don't believe he is gay. I told her, I believe you!. I saw her about 8 mos later. She told me her husband called and said he wanted to see the child. She said you still living with the homeles guy? he said yes, and will you bring the baby and come live with us. She said no! I saw her again a year later, she told me her ex- husband died of Aids.

I don't understand being gay is no longer against the law and people have been out for years. He didn't have to do that to her nor did these other people have to do that to their partners.

I'm from Grand Rapids Michigan and all I can say is. Depending on who you are and your social status, Anything Goes! If you call out the bafoonery you better be ready to dodge the smoke because there is a high tide chance the bullets will fly your way. Money and the propensity to be violent rules this world, Grand Rapids is a prime example of that. There is no true justice to be had behind some crimes. These guys are going right where they wanna be; around many more men while being housed and fed. They don't care. This will only get worse. Let another covid-like event hit, all hell is gonna break loose! As a black male I feel bad for the lack of choices most of our Afro-American women have to choose from. The worse part is, there are some black women that feel as if she got what she had coming. Unfortunately, I know this to be true first hand. We are living in some sad ass times 😢 RIP, she probably just wanted to be loved.
