What our parents did, or did not do in childrearing, has a lot to do with being insecure. I never received positive feedback as a child, and this has effected my personal relationships. Never had real female friends, romantic relationships have failed me, I always feel that I am not "good enough" and that people really don't like me. I am 52 years old and basically antisocial and I never wanted to be this way. Thank you Pastor for addressing this topic, I am definitely suffering from childhood trauma.

I’m sorry. That’s called mirroring. Parents are “supposed to” reflect back to you what they see in you (hopefully positives!). Something that may help you is to know LOTS of people have not gotten this for SO MANY reasons. But they and you can still see the TRUTH - which is you have those positive things in your nature that are SO valuable.

same im 37 but I dont feel insecure now..just shy..some comments my father made in the past may have affected me a bit..comparing me with my sisters..but I now realise that he wants to conform..my sisters are 31 and 35 and had several men..I had none..only kissed a few and was almost on my back once in my early 20s but I said no because I knew my legs and home are closed until marriage..I did have real female friends but I hanged more with male friends..now I only have male friends..I think the women its harder..there is jealousy etc ..men too but different..I realise that people who dont like me is simply because we arent on the same level intellectually..generally its men and women too that are as intelligent as me or more that want to be friend..and they value intelligence..I realise also that my family ..and maybe my father is not that intelligent ..for example he never said I was intelligent ..its always friends or strangers who d say it..no one in my direct family said it..I knew when I grew up that I could nt really connect with them and felt like I was on my own..once I had a panic attack..and my father said go back to be its nothing we ll check tomorrow morning..but I couldnt breathe..thats when I realise..I cant count on them..its not like I had this before..only once this happened to me and I couldn't breathe..

What is a practical way of doing this? I understand its about actions but what does it look like? For instance, if people don't like me no matter how much I try, how do I act strong in the face of that rejection?
@marylivich6058
@marylivich6058 Жыл бұрын
@@segunjay4153 Jesus gives you that security from within. Makes you strong to overcome those who reject you. You should be complete in Christ and not be concerned what anyone may think of you. Jesus today is still rejected 😔 Yes, I am sure this hurts his heart however he is God so he still continues to love regardless. I have been hurt and rejected many times. Jesus is truly all I will ever need so people do not bother me. I consider this their loss. I am a very good Woman 🤍

@@marylivich6058 I believe you are very good woman Mary and thank you for encouraging me. I have been scapegoated a lot for mainly standing for the truth and refusing injustice. I know Christ said that we should cast our cares on him, I will continually do that. I wish you the very best and I pray God strengthens you not to be bothered about what people think of you

Greetings Bishop and Cyber Church Family. I listened to this message on yesterday, and I meditated on it yesterday all day long. I got up this morning meditating on this Word. As the old folks used to say I was chewing on it. Then I had to digest it. It was so profound, and I took a look back over my life on all of the insecurities I had to face as a child, as a teenage mother, as an employee, etc. We hear a lot about insecurities nowadays, especially food insecurity. As a senior I'm faced with insecurities on every level. This is not the life I had planned for me. This is not how I envisioned spending my senior years, but with God it better than what I had anticipated in many ways. I don't look at what people live in, what they drive or what they buy. I'm secure in knowing what God has for me is for me. Everyday is not sunshine, but it's better than!!! I don't have to be jealous or envious when God Blesses someone else. I have Blessings that others don't have. "Don't Hate, Celebrate" when God Blesses others. That means my Blessing is on the way too. Insecure people don't seem insecure on the surface. They come off as condescending, pumped up, pious and just plain arrogant. There were three points made on yesterday: 1) When you have an insecure spirit, you take the strengths of others as a personal reflection on you. 2) When you possess a spirit of insecurity, you will always excuse your way out of opportunities. 3) You won't be able to own your success. Profound statements: 1) Just do it. 2) The only antidote for insecurity is action. 3) You will never overcome a fear you will not face. In the words of Winston Churchill, "If you're going through hell, keep going." There's victory on the other side!!!! Bishop, thank you for your teachings!!! These teachings are my therapy sessions. Pray for me as I pray for you.

"You will never overcome a fear that you will not face " I was a skinny child growing up, but I stood up to some big thick girls that were bullying me and that made all the difference in the world. The other kids respected me for not putting up with it anymore, and I even surprised myself, along with the bullies! Laid the foundation for life early on the playground, but it's never too late.

What a powerful word of deliverance. I grew up insecure. I often was teased as a child because of my looks or lack thereof. As a teen I was overlooked by my peers. Boys always tended to favor the "red bone" and not the dark skinned girls. I felt ugly and insecure in my appearance so I settled in young adulthood for any man that showed me attention. It wasn't until I began to learn who God says I am that I began to come into the true knowledge of myself. I know I can never get any of those years back but my plan is to finish strong. I'm 55 years young and am truly grateful to God for powerful ministries like that of RC Blake's that teaching deliverance to the captives. God Bless.

This is beautiful. I am very thankful that I can celebrate many people and I don't ever feel jealous of anyone. I respect them and wish to be like them. The hard part is that I feel like being single is making me more insecure. I also have a very strong fear of letting my parents down and I don't make my own decisions if they are against them.

God, I am through with people pushing their insecurity on me. I have met the most wicked of people and I know the world is made of much nicer people as well. So I pray to release me of the wicked ones, binding every form of insecurity in trusting in self and others, binding every unequal yoke and common share with those being insecure in self and others, loosening healthy security in self and others for myself, friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ in agreement with this whole message and numbers 13:30-33, 1 samuel 18:7-9, isaiah 63:7, deuteronomy 11:22-25, 2 corinthians 6:14-15, matthew 6:24, 1 john 3:10 in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

he is offended that I asked for marriage and to have one child only ...you d be surprised that having children is even an issue..im friend with someone who is about to break up with his gf because he wants a family ..however I feel that he doesnt even want the woman to work..as I said I wouldnt want a career but I want my own money to be able to buy what I want..like books and art material..he was silent..he had said the wife can use the money of the husband to manage the household but I said the above yeah but buying something for yourself..Ill keep him as a friend..plus he is way younger than me..we do have the same values..but he wants 3 children and I want one..he said maybe 2 it depends..but not 1..and I only want 1..he was also silent when I said it was scary to give birth and twice I couldn't do it maybe adopt..it shows he is not someone for me..wouldnt a man want to understand u and reassure you..

can a man lack confidence and ghost you for another woman? he ghosted me but stares at me on the street with no expression with his gf or different women I dont know..I stare and dont smile as he doesnt..and then break eye contact before him..yesterday he gave me bad look..maybe its not personal..but I thought jeez he is not nice..even though I fancy him..I got scared a bit and move my body away from him..he know my legs and home are closed before marriage..lol..but he never told me yes or no..

@Dee Berry yeah probably I never went out with him really...had to beg him..to meet to begin with..and he would encourage me via text..signs with X sometimes etc..and told me I was a great artist ..he d check my site for years I think while being with other women.. I thought he liked me but he wasnt honest..I did send him 20 texts after he ghosted but that was 2 years ago..Some of these texts I said i wouldnt go out with any man unless it leads to marriage though and I just want one man , it makes no sense to be with anyone unless you are ready to have a family..etc..and well I told him I wanted to marry him and have a baby with him..but asked his thoughts and whether he fancied me too because I did..and I want him for years..I kind of sucks..at the end of the day like RC blackes says..I dont really know him so far its the physical attraction.. I just look because not many people on the street due to the lockdown..and I have to admit I do fancy him..but like you said he is not good..true I should stop looking at walk close to him because I saw him from far and then look up ..should have ignored..

@Dee Berry now that I think about it ..you may be right that he s angry im not begging..because I bumped into him twice..in the last 2 weeks..and I hadn't bumped into him for the last 2 years which was my last text...the first time he was simply staring at me with no expression and the second time with this hatred /angry look..so maybe he hoped I would have contacted him again after seeing him that first time..if thats the case ..this is crazy..anyway I said everything I had to say to him and even propose to meet to discuss..so its up to him to reach out if he wanted ..he clearly doesnt want
