Bissell ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro Carpet Cleaner Review. I have been looking for a carpet shampooer/ carpet cleaner for a while now and I finally decided to invest my money into this Bissell Product. I LOVE this machine! It us super easy to set up, easy and intuitive to use and easy to clean. It has great cleaning power with two hose accessory attachments. I think the standard attachment has a little bit more suction power than the 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery tool. The Pet Upholstery Tool is great but you can definitely go with the ProHeat machine that doesn't include the extra 2-in-1 tool and you won't be missing out and you'll save yourself around $70!!!
I love that Bissell has the Bissell Pet Foundation that helps place homeless animals in long homes. I am happy to support Bissell and add one of their products to my home cleaning regimen.

Picked this up about 2 weeks ago to replace an old Hoover model that was past its prime. I ended up ordering directly from Bissell so I could get a bunch of extras included (Rinse & Storage Tray, 2-in-1 Pet Upholstery Tool, 3" Tough Stain Tool, 3-in-1 Stair Tool, Sliding Crevice Tool, and two 8 oz. formula samples). I like it so far, and I really like how easily it breaks down for cleaning. I don't imagine I'll use the EasyFill feature either--I wish they had left it off altogether and made the clean tank cap larger (to make it easier to remove any remaining moisture from the tank after use). It's also great that I can use the same tool attachments with both this and my Bissell SpotClean Pro.

I actually learned that Bissell makes like, 4 of these 2x Pro Heat Carpet Cleaners... The only differences I found were in the cord lengths, attachments (the other 3 didn't include the pet upholstery tool), the clean shot trigger and the detachable brush head cover so you can clean the rollers better, both of which only the newer model has. I personally like being able to take off the cover on the brush rollers cause it's makes it way easier to clean, but I'd be willing to give it up along with the other features if it meant I'd be paying $200 less. I wish I would've known that there were several cheaper alternatives available before I bought this one since they all feature the heating option and have the same suction power/wattage. So far I've been able to find one in blue, yellow, orange and the one that you're reviewing that all fall under the 2x Pro Heat collection and I believe Bissell is discontinuing these older models so I've been finding them for a lot cheaper on the Wal-Mart marketplace, Best Buy and Amazon. Like, over $100-200 cheaper..

I’ve been using mine for a couple months now and it’s great. Really love how good it works and the design. But I bought mine at Target for a great price…but it was missing the instruction booklet (although you can find a PDF version online). So your vid def taught me a few new things I didn’t figure out yet. And now I know how the Pet Tool works (or doesn’t work). Nice job with this review!

If your carpets are on the stained/dirty side, add a few tablespoons of borax (dissolve in some hot water first) to the usual cleaning solution. Its a great stain and odor eliminator. Then I would go over the whole area you've cleaned with just plain water to help get out more chemical residue. You'll be surprised how much more dirt comes out with the second (and even third) passing.

So I bought the cheaper carpet cleaner, the Bissell ProHeat 1548F, before watching this video because another KZfaqr I watch recommended it, and I'm sending it back. A major difference between the one Whitney actually owns and the one I'm returning is you can't remove the brushes, so cleaning them and removing hair is a pain. To me, that's a major difference, and I didn't like how hard it was to clean the brushes. The machine also clogged easily because the brushes couldn't be removed. Trying to remove the clogs then became so much harder. The machine also leaks quite a bit, whereas my very cheap hoover power dash does not leak. The attachment piece that she said she prefers also clogs and it is very difficult to clean because the clear plastic piece does not seem to come off.
@WhitneyBaldwin
@WhitneyBaldwin 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashley, Thank you for letting us know about your experience with the 1548F model. With the model that I have (1986) I haven’t had any leaking issues and have been able to clean the brush rolls relatively easily. The smaller attachment that I prefer doesn’t come apart either. Mine doesn’t get clogged but there is debris along the sides that I wish I could get out. Are you thinking about getting the 1986 or something different? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
@ashley1097
@ashley1097 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, and you're very welcome! Yes, I am considering the Bissell 1986 model and the Hoover SmartWash since they are the same price. I think I am going to hold off on buying either one and wait to see if either brand does a sale or releases a newer 2021 model. The reason I was going to replace my Hoover PowerDash is that it's hard to clean stairs with it. It doesn't have a hose or any attachments. However, after trying to clean my stairs with the Bissel 1548F model, I realize it's not much easier cleaning stairs with a hose and attachment either. Also, to clarify what I meant in my original post, the debris along the sides of the smaller attachment that you mention, that issue is what I meant when I said it gets clogged, but I can understand how perhaps clogged was not the right word choice. I only used that attachment on half my stairs and I tried as hard as I could to get that debris out, without breaking it, before I sent back the entire machine, but I couldn't get it out. I assumed though after further use that issue would only get worse and cause true clogging.
@WhitneyBaldwin
@WhitneyBaldwin 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply!! I can totally see what you’re talking about with the small attachment and the difficulty when cleaning stairs. We should all band together and create the best machine ever. I swear some of these engineers who design cleaning products have never cleaned a day in their life. Keep us posted on any new machine you decide on 💖

@@ashley1097 This is good to know!!! I was leaning toward the one you purchased as right now it's about $160 bucks vs $250 sale price for the 1989 pet pro version. I will say that this version if you buy direct from Bissell is sold in a bundle that includes a stair attachment. I have no idea how well it works.

I am torn as I am definitely on a budget and the (orange) 2x revolution pet cleaner seams to work just as well as the (purple) 2x revolution pet pro. Every reviewer says that the regular upholstery attachment works better and the one shot feature is not necessary. The ONLY factor that still has me interested in pet pro is the detachable front/detachable rollers for ease of cleaning. I have a dog and cat that shed so ease of cleaning is important. But is it worth the $100 difference? (* the other one you must get on floor and use screw driver to take apart to clean). With the bundle deal Bissell currently has though you get a lot of extras--- just wish I knew if any of those attachments are worth it.

Ugh!! I'm so confused as to which one to get I do have pets. Should I purchase the bissel proheat 2x pet one it's on sale at the moment. Or this one? The only difference I see in them is the front piece doesn't come off and the cords are shorter along with the hoses with these being the only differences which one would you recommend? Thank you
@WhitneyBaldwin
@WhitneyBaldwin 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sara, if ease of cleaning the brush rolls is important to you get the one that comes apart. I’m sure you can use the cleaning tool it comes with if you don’t get the removable front piece. If you have pets - opt for the removable one. Hope this helps

I bought mine today and I'm really disappointed. I picked it up at Target and when I got it home found that it had been returned, not used but just returned. The manual was missing and one of the bottles of cleaner. I didn't want to drive all the way back to return it because gas is so expensive so I figured I'd just look it up online. I usually read the entire manual (when I have one) but just read the areas that I wanted to see for operation, etc. First I used it to clean my furniture. It was doing a great job and noticed black residue on my carpet and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Later I moved the cleaner and found that two sections of the cord were exposed like it had been melted off. I still couldn't figure out what was going on and then placed the cleaner on a piece of cardboard. Well after finishing both couches and cleaned up I noticed several burn marks on my carpet! I didn't realized the head spins constantly! OMG why don't they turn off like a vacuum until you release the handle. My carpet is destroyed!!! I regret buying this machine. I should've just paid a professional to come clean my carpets.

Hi Desmond! I originally ordered from Bissell directly in March... this was right when quarantine started and I’m guessing that’s why I had so many issues with that order. About 18 days after I placed my order with Bissell (and received a confirmation number) they said there was an issue with my order and it had been cancelled. That’s why I just purchased it through Amazon. I was concerned I wouldn’t receive all of the accessories that was on the Bissell website but I’m pretty sure I got everything!!!! I’m sure everything is back on track now with shipping so if you can find a better deal buying directly, DO IT!!!

Hey there! Here’s a few things to try. Run the machine on the medium setting (deep clean) it uses less water than max clean. You can also do more dry passes to suck up more water.. so two wet passes then four for five dry passes. Turn overhead fans on and set out other fans on the floor. Plan on shampooing on a sunny day where you can open your windows. Let me know if this helps.

@@WhitneyBaldwin Thanks! I certainly didn't overdo the water, it's just that things really seem to take forever to dry in my northern, oceanic climate. :/ I don't have a fan unfortunately, I've used a hair dryer for a few hours but it didn't seem to help. I just expected that it would suck up more water... I guess I must wait till summer.

Hi Annette! I should’ve included how to take the machine apart to clean in the video. Getting to the rollers is easy peasy.. the top just clips off. Cleaning out the top part though (where the dirty water gets sucked back up into) is kind of a pain in the butt because it doesn’t come apart. You have to use the long scraper tool that they give you to dig around in there. Not ideal but it’s not too bad.
