About Sheepdog Response:
Sheepdog Response was founded by Green Beret, Special Forces, Sniper, and former top 5 UFC Middleweight, Tim Kennedy. Tim was also the co-star of Hunting Hitler on the History Channel, and more recently, Hard To Kill, on the Discovery Channel.
People face threats of violence every day, ranging from large-scale terrorism to one-on-one assaults. Most people are unprepared, unequipped, and untrained to respond effectively. This weakness in the flock allows the wolves to attack with great ease and success.
The answer is not more laws. The wolves don’t follow them. We must give the good guys the tools they need to effectively respond to violence. The more Sheepdogs we can train to be truly ready to respond to a mass shooting, terrorist attack, violent mugging or home invasion, the better the chances are that the bad guys will get what they deserve and the good guys will survive. Most people sign up for martial arts or weapons training expecting to learn realistic self-defense, and few get it…
We have developed a curriculum that addresses the skills you need to successfully respond to threats

Yeah pressure on the arteries doesn't take much to make you sleep. Or die.

Yeah fr. I’m a noob but if you ever get someone to do this on you with proper application, you can feel that pressure on your arteries even before they pull or breathe in or anything. Especially in this video because he’s got his right hand wayyy up on his bicep which makes that shit tiiight.

@@xorpe7172 I mean if a little touch is enough to feel the heart beat. How much pressure do you really need to cut the flow off. And it doesn't take long. Once the brain loses oxygen flow. You out

Thank you Tim, for posting and sure am glad I watched this and paid attention. There was a man running from the cops one morning as I walked out to my truck for work, I looked up and saw him coming my way. I hit him like football practice punched his face in and did this choke. He had a Hot ar15 . I didn't realize what I did that morning untill the cops hugged me and thanked me. There would of been a horrible shoot out on my block and that fella would of been getting fit for a new suit if I didn't react, and thank god he didn't have time to raise his stolen rifle and squeeze rounds of at me

Guys, remember that the purple color in the face is not from compressing the arteries. That is venous congestion from the compression of the jugular veins. You have to squeeze much tighter to compress the arteries.

Just some feedback from an actual BJJ practitioner. Wrapping your hand around or actually making a fist in the crook of your elbow is the locking mechanism for the rear naked choke, and you rely on your hooks from back mount to stretch out your opponent and create leverage not grabbing the shoulder. Never slowly "spider crawl" a rear naked choke from the arms and chest alone. Once you get the choke position you always want to slap the hooks on, a standing rear naked choke is extremely hard for professionals to do, always slap the hooks on and give them a nice stretch using your arms, back, hips, legs, everything, your entire body is used in unison for a proper rear naked choke. Edit: I wanted to mention I love these videos and Sheepdog Response and just wanted to point this out as someone who lives their life by Jiu-Jitsu. Tim Kennedy I love ya dude, but where did you get this guy? lol

Learned this move from watching WWF (WWE) wrestling, Back in the day and I taught it was fake , till I tried it on a friend of mine and I put him to sleep. Boy was I scared, I splashed water on his face he came to, so I was relieved. In wrestling it was called the sleeper hold. Learned this move watching The Von Erichs .

Good video but left some important stuff out. Have to control is position before submission. And if we are talking street or real work you better be watching his hands if you choke someone like that that's deadly force and can and should be met in kind you choke someone like that you can hold past tap and kill them so if you choke someone that understands that they are green lit to shoot or stab you if you are not controlling hands and waistlines you May not live long enough to spider crawl
@thekitchen6378
@thekitchen6378 4 жыл бұрын
Taking the back is controlling the position. He was demonstrating the actual choke not the choke with hooks in or a body triangle. My man once I get my arm under your chin you will be sleep in 2 seconds. You aren’t getting my gun or pulling out your knife before it happens. You need your hands for that and once you drop them to grab a weapon you are done. It’s a very safe choke. Also highly effective.
@Kevin-lm9ex
@Kevin-lm9ex 4 жыл бұрын
I am a purple belt bjj and a student of combatives. I have tried this very drill many times with sirt pistols and training blades. Even with the choke set and squeezing guy applying choke gets stabbed or shot every time. Unless you are controlling both hands which you cannot do using both hands for choke if you can control both hands with your legs or legs and one hand and perform choke with one hand it's doable. And 2 seconds is a long time. Even with .20 splits your getting shot 10 times. It's a good choke to subdue and unarmed untrained person. But from that position you aren't choking even a blue belt without securing the position and again if they are armed your dead

I’m a BJJ black belt who has competed for years. I’m also a police officer in a busy City for a over a decade and I’m telling you I’ve used a rear naked choke many times and have never been shot or stabbed. You wouldn’t use this on a person who had a gun or knife in their hand. I would use deadly force for that. Don’t be condescending to people on the internet Kevin. You have no idea who you are talking to.
@Kevin-lm9ex

Who's being condescending. And the gun in the waistband is what I am talking about. What large city are you in I would be happy to meet up and drill this with you. Who is your black belt under ? And which department.
