Richie "Boogey" Martinez (10th Planet San Diego) is one of Eddie Bravo's top black belt competitors and Rubber Guard players. Boogey captured the CJJ Welterweight title at EBI 13 after defeating Bobby Emmons by Darce choke.
With his insane unorthodox style, Richie executed the Carni submission at the Quitet 3 event against the MMA/Grappling pro Marcin Held. I've included a short highlight of this submission in the first half of the video.
The second half of the video includes the Carni Submission breakdown. The Carni is essentially an Armlock/Shoulderlock from Rubber Guard using a strong butterfly hook to prevent the opponent from rolling.

What's also cool is that New York is considered the "better" rubber guard position. So if you're trying to set rubber guard up against an opponent, you can pretend to fight for New York then "settle" for New Jersey, where you can then go for this move. That's how I usually get it- once I "give up" NY and "settle" for NJ, I pause for a moment as if I've suffered a setback, which usually causes them to pause to take a breath. That's when I throw my leg over and go right for the carni or gogoplata.
