Hey prime vs prime Imagine if the 3d party company that made this figure also made their movie jetfire from ROTF and like the ss version of jetfire he can combine with optimus prime but thee combine mode is more movie accurate. The sad part is that the blackapple/wayjang version would come with some replacement peices and or parts inorder for the black apple/wayjang version of optimus compatible.

He should work with the MPP-10 Upscaled G1 style Trailer - Though I guess what you'd really want for him is a suitably sized UFO Trailer - that might look OK resting on him since that was designed for the Leader Class and this one isn't much different in size.

My dad really got me into transformers after the release of the 2007 film. Transformers were pretty much the only connection we had. Didn’t have the money for many transformers but I have the 2007 optimus and a few other cheap ones that may not look great but has immense sentimental value. Since my dad passed away, my love for transformers is one of the only things that helps me stay connected with him spiritually. I wish I could afford this because it’s a perfect representation of the 2007 Optimus. Really in the feels right now.

i miss the times when transforming these movie figures used to be complex but satisfying but thank goodness there are some third-party companies out there recreating these masterpieces and taking it to a whole new level of movie accuracy and detailing. kudos

Indesputably the best transformable movie Optimus Prime ever created. Honestly, one of the best Optimus Primes created ever, period. Just so many things are done right with this figure. THIS is the true masterpiece movie Optimus Prime, the official isn't worthy of the title anymore. If you're even a casual Transformers fan, you owe it to yourself to pick this guy up. Personally, I bought two of these. One to fiddle with and display, and one to keep in the box, "just in case". This has honestly transcended from just being a mere collectible figure. This is truly a work of art, and engineering marvel that will go down in history as the greatest.

For hardcore fans you need to pick this up. If I can't afford this one, then I'll opt for Legendary Toys. But this is high on my Birthday or Christmas list.

Meh I prefer mpm 4 I don’t think you can discredit it for not being worthy of the name masterpiece it’s the best movie prime you can find

@@ZakTakesFlight Then orginal Hasbro release had issues with it. You can argue the Legendary Toys KO is the best but honestly, I like the ROTF Leader more than the 10th anniversary MP4. Mainly cause the Truck mode is better and the proportions on the upper body are more accurate.

Kenny The Trend nah the quality of the Ko’s ain’t all that. Plus your discrediting the engineers of the official product because remember, they have to make the figures from scratch. Whereas the KO companies take 95% of what was already an amazing figure and make tweaks to make it better, which isn’t bad, but you can’t give them the type of credit this guy does in his video. Furthermore moving on to your point about the rotf leader i have both mpm 4 and leader prime they’re both great figures but I think it goes down to personal preference. You like the rotf leader and I respect that but I personally have to go with mpm 4. Better quality better attention to detail and although the transformation is complex if you know what you’re doing and you’re very specific in every step you shouldn’t come across any issues. But hey that was just my personal opinion haha :)

@@ZakTakesFlight The KO I'm talking about isn't just a cheap out version of the original. It's properly painted and fixed all the issues that the original had. I get it discredits the original engineers, but when the KO is released 6 months or more after the orignal release, then I think KO figures are fine. It's when they try to sell it when the official one still is on the market. Also, what do you think about the prime in this video? In my opinion, Weijang/Black Apple adds so much to their oversized KO's that shouldn't it be considered 4rth/3rd party at that point? Like 3.5th? I just think Black Apple's prime is the best. Especially the Truck mode. But what are your thoughts about it?

My only issue with this figure(and the same on the original MPM) is the fact that they couldn’t find a way to retract the hands on this guy. In movie 1 and ROTF, he retracted his hands and extended his energon blades. Once again, my only issue. I love integrated weapons. This guy looks phenomenal, indeed. I’m definitely picking this guy up for Christmas.

I just got this last Christmas and happy to say that I’m still discovering this figure now. It’s such a beautiful figure. Trust me it looks very different in person. And umm yea, I can stare all day looking at it. It’s such a masterpiece 🌟

The best and most intuitive design on the character I have witnessed thus far. The convenient placement of the weaponry coupled with the incredibly accurate design and great size makes for a great show piece.

My favorite parts of the truck mode is the added parts to the grill and how the reflector things above the windshield are straight instead of angled. Also, the forearms and proportions of the robot mode is the real seller for me personally.

By the time he fully transforms Megatron would have taken over the planet 🤦🏽‍♂️😂 I’m going to get 2 (1 for robot mode & 1 for vehicle mode) I’m not going back to college to learn how to transform this bad boy until my kids are adults!!!😂😂😂 GREAT REVIEW🧐🤓

Black mamba indeed did an upscaled version of Ironhide. However, I believe that there is also a black apple version in the making. Also including fixes and modifications. Let's hope it gets released soon!

The biggest issues for me are:. Sunken head, wide chest gap, and weird abs. Other than that it is amazing.

finally ordered this guy at show z stores they told me once the sold out they never getting more in because the factory stop making they so had to get him been wanting him for awhile BUT he not going to ship him until 3rd feb because its CNY soon so be a long wait but be worth it and this wll be my figure in 2020 but cant wait thanks for the awesome review

What an absolutely fantastic review and a true masterpiece of a figure. The word masterpiece has lost some of it's mojo since it's used to refer to the masterpiece line. But this truly is a masterpiece. I hope other companies recognize that this is the Ultimate Masterpiece Optimus Prime and make kits for it such as interchangeable battle damaged sections (head, panels with bullet holes, etc), wings, weapons, and a trailer

I've read that cutting off the blue part behind the knee (that they added themselves from the original) gives him the proper double-jointed knee that the original had.

It seems as though Takara and Hasbro have given up competing with third-party companies. The level of detail these companies achieve at such a low cost makes it nearly impossible for Takara to keep up. However, it must be noted that in recent years, Takara has prioritized cost-cutting measures. This has led to compromised paint applications and figures filled with hollow gaps, ultimately resulting in a decline in overall quality. Although some argue that the engineering has significantly improved, I believe that good engineering alone cannot rectify issues like yellowing white plastic or fragile clear parts. One might argue that purchasing third-party products is unethical as it does not support Hasbro or Takara. While this may be true, it is essential for Takara and Hasbro to provide compelling reasons to choose their official products over alternatives.

It's about damn time they made a movie-accurate back section for this design. ROTF got close and so did the MPM version but neither ever made the cut. Both still felt back-pack-ish. This though? While it's not IN his back, it's absolutely great and totally works. This is the movie Optimus Prime. I don't know if it can get better than this.

How does scale with Unique Toys Challenger? Would love to get this iteration of Optimus Prime because the best I felt it got was the ROTF Leader. This looks like it would match up with the quality and paintjob of my UT Challenger much better.

I have the Black Mamba and this one is definitely more detailed. I just dont like how much the ab section sticks out. The BmB version the ab section sucks into the torso and sits nice and flush with a little bump out.

Excellent review, I really love that figure but I've been looking for it and I can't find it. You who are more experienced in this issue of transformers figures do you have any information or news if they re-create and distribute that figure? or if you know someone who may have it to buy it?

Unfortunately you won't find this figure, as the company who produced it, Wei Jiang, got booty blasted by Hasbro. And any second hand sellers of this hiked the price up to $500.

Me too, only just subbed, but yeah, a great resource for Transformers fans. Getting quite a good collection up now, ordering that Black Apple Optimus, it's a must. A quick question, I need the weapons and stickers for my G1 Sideswipe, and new stickers for my G1 Optimus, and Roller for his trailer (bought at a toy fair ages ago) anywhere to get good repro parts? I'm relatively new to collecting Transformers.
