A very old recording I found in
the filesystem amidst a bunch of
unrelated files.
It looks to be of Iteration 1
suffering some sort of map
corruption.
Recorded November 8th, 2008.

I'll keep an eye on this The dialogue, as far as Google lens tells me, translates to "It's sold out now", and "I got 100 cions", the area was called "A fork in the road"

"PXM Generation Terminated" "PXE Generation Terminated" "PSE? Generation Terminated" Edit or "ISE Generation Terminated" I'm not sure if these acronyms mean anything yet, but possible candidates: Product Experience Management, Preboot Execution Environment, and maybe Information Sharing Environment? But more than likely it's something else

@@TurtleTracksStudio the reference is likely towards cave story's internal workings - it stores its maps in three files - PXM/PXE are two of the file extensions used - PiXel Map (tileset placement) and PiXel Entity (npc/enemies/decoration props etc) respectively... without checking the specific bit in the video you're referencing, if i had to guess, the last one is the third file extension, 'TSC', which stores the game's scripting language (ie. cutscenes, flavour text, etc)

@@uselesscalcium And when it happened, the room that had just been entered was only half finished. This appears to indicate the rooms are proceedurally generated.

1:26 One of the very first tilesets that Pixel ever made for Cave Story? That's a deep-cut reference. If somebody ever puts any effort into making theories about this YT channel, remember, you must have some good knowledge on Cave Story's prerelease history beforehand (read the tcrf's article on the game, and you'll suddenly understand a bunch of the references made in these videos). Edit: nevermind, you are also going to need some knoledge on TSC too (the scripting language that Cave Story uses for its events and commands). Unused and beta content, ROMhacking knowledge,… It's going to take a *REAL* Cave Story fan to solve whatever mystery these videos hold.
