I think having Black Frieza as a looming threat AFTER Z ending is a great idea.

I hope we go past the end of Z before dealing with Black Freeza, whether it is the next arc or not. Having a looming threat like Freeza hanging overhead contextualizes why Goku would want to train Oob and makes Oob feel more important than he ever has before, despite supposedly being Goku's successor. Placing it after end of Z also reinjects some tension into the narrative, and frees them up to expanding the universe further without worrying about if something introduced conflicts with the original ending.

@@arpadszabo661 Fair point, but we don't know Oob's full potential yet. Oob is only around 10 years old as of the World Tournament where we met him originally, and he has the strength of Kid Boo and is now revealed to innately possess God Ki as a result of Boo's past actions. He was able to spar with a Goku whose base far exceeds Super Saiyan 3 from when he fought Boo originally. All this as a 10 year old with no training. For all we know, his potential could even outshine Gohan, and with Goku and the Dragon Team around he'd suddenly have no shortage of people who could help bring that potential out. Plus, Freeza has a tendency to get conceited and overestimate his own superiority. He did it with Goku on Namek, with Future Trunks, and with both Goku and Vegeta at the same time. Heck, he even thought he could take on Broly in his golden form. The idea that Freeza could grow complacent in his black form isn't out of the question.

In order for the Black Frieza arc to have any actual stakes it has to come after the end of Z. Imagine Frieza actually enslaves the entire Earth??

@@dylanrinker6831 why not? Freezia doesn't just go around destroying planets you know. He rules over them. Destroying the planet would be too simple for him now. Maybe he wants the Humans and Saiyans to suffer and bow to him, and if he's able to body Goku and Vegeta who can stop him? Not to mention he could use the Dragon Balls in his favor somehow. Basically the Earth has had 10 years of relative peace, well from the perspective of most people living on the planet. The end of Z is actually refered to as the Peaceful Word Saga, so the way I see it is Earth is heading for a very dark period.

With all due respect, I think people are jumping the gun by definitively saying we won't get Toriyama's take on End of Z, or another Toriyama story post Super Hero! 🐉 We all know that Toriyama wrote the story as he went along, but we do know he did sometimes plan stories ahead with Super (or wrote them a couple of years in advance of them airing) - Toriyama said that Ressurection F was a story he originally intended to include in the original manga, but it was scrapped (Are there other stories he scrapped?) - Toriyama also spoke about not wanting Goku to have white hair because this would clash with a future villain (Merged Zamasu). He said this a while before the Goku Black arc was announced - We know that he started to plan DBS Broly when the TOP was in the early stages of airing based on interviews Based on these statements, I don't think we should rule out future Toriyama stories before it's officially confirmed

Agreed. He started writing Superhero not long after Broly. If he wrote another movie after finishing Superhero (probably in 2020 or 2021 based on production lead times) he may have written a whole other film. I think there's a lot of Toriyama in Daima. It wouldn't surprise me if maybe 20 episodes he was heavily involved in, outlines for more. (My assumption is 40 episodes 1 for each year, but just my assumption.) And finally maybe bullet points for manga.

Every author has unreleased notes, scrapped ideas and stuff. Also Shueisha and Toei seem to have been aware of Toriyamas health for some time now, and I think the Dragon room, Capsule Corp and Toyo were all build up to eventually carry the torch. Toriyama won't be able to give direct imputs anymore sadely, but I doubt we've seen the last of his ideas.

@@alexl.4362 on his own channel he would do very deep dives into db trying to come up w theories. Like the Broly movie. He actually did a lot of research and put a lot of effort into them. Then he'd usually wind up totally wrong. To be fair most ppl would be. He just happen to put the most effort and be the most elaborate.

I agree, Pushing someone away with Ki is a lot easier than landing an actual damaging blow. Goku was definitely not in control of that fight as he stated. we have seen Goku in control of a fight, he doesn't get grazed and outright bodied in UI. I am amazed at how people are not giving Gohan the credit he deserves. Also from a narrative stand point Gohan being the strongest to defend earth makes sense for COUNTLESS reasons at this point. 1. It's a call back to both the cell games and to a lesser extent the Buu arc when Goku tried to make the next generation stronger than him so the earth would be safe. Oh would you look at that we have a direct quote from Goku confirming this call back. This implies Gohan is stronger due to that narrative. 2. This arc happened as the end of the Super Hero Arc after Cell/Cell max was beaten. If this is not a direct call back to Gohan again being the strongest after the Cell Game and now this movie then idk what is. 3. A mountain of statements from official sources saying either Gohan might be or is the strongest between promotional materials and recent post. Although non of that actually confirms it you wouldn't even promote this if Goku was still stronger, that's stupid. like really really stupid. So yea at this moment Gohan has Surpassed Goku. Goku will again surpass Gohan at some point but based on the fight, offical statements, and the implied narrative from the story telling it is clear as day that Gohan is meant to be stronger. How anyone can miss this is beyond me. Sure Goku might be able to find a win con against Gohan but that's head cannon and nothing we saw in this fight showed that, which Gohan did show a very basic win con. Outspeed UI and one combo Goku out of UI.

I think the next arc should be the end of Z. Slow roll into the end and flesh out more of the ending and start to treat Black Frieza like Thanos. He'll make an appearance but they're not close to his level yet so it'll take time

Chichi made it for the tournament. Since Goku made a promise, he can't deliver on. That it will be the last time fighting. So he ran away with Uub to train him. Because Chichi is going mad, he still isn't at home most of the time.

It makes the most sense to be at the end of Z. We knew we were just months away from it in universe. Pan is at that age. Goten and Trunks are kind of training and fighting again. Gohan's fighting again. Goku and Vegeta are back on Earth. They're entering a peaceful stage for the time being and I think that's the best time to bring in the end of Z. The beginning of the next arc shows Goku in his Blue Gi (theory). The tournament is mentioned and Goku is excited because of Uub.

My Theory: If Frieza ends up being the next God of Destruction, Beerus and Whis will propose a slight unconventional Creation/Destruction insurance policy. I suspect that instead of Frieza's life being linked to Supreme Kai's, it will be linked to Goku's. Of course death by one's own hand would negate the other person from dying, so the stakes are more real. Frieza would have to think twice about everything, because he knows Goku would fight him to the death.

Imma b honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried not to go past End of Z just bc they don't want to override AT's vision. But then again they did already have notes just in case. I'm hoping they do Black Frieza first since they keep referencing Frieza. They also dont have that many arcs they can fit since we are within a year of End of Z.

I know that most don't care about this, but there is also the limited lifespan of Granolah that is set to end right around the events of the End of Z Epilouge. It was not undone at the end of his arc. That and he promised to come visit Vegeta to spar and train on Earth later on. Not to mention he would surely provide help against Black Frieza if asked. Especially if he kept training.

I would like to see the Moro Arc adapted into the anime, and whether it is before or after the Super Hero movie, I would be ok with either of those, because Moro as a villain makes sense as to why he is and can become so powerful because he can absorbe energy.

We need a visit to universe 6 planet sadala with Goku, Broly and Vegeta. Maybe something happens there and need U7's help. Frieza somehow manages to travel aswell and meets Cooler. Meanwhile, the other z warriors, Trunks, Goten and Piccolo, face some threat. Piccolo is trapped somewhere and cant help. Majian buu, steps up loses but then mets Ubb who comes to aid them but needs to train in hyperbolic time chamber with him. Gohan is currently off world with Jiren, training. We get a successful gotenks fusion to hold off until ubb comes out merged with buu...ok bit wild but lets gooooooooo

Plot twist: strongest character in the universe ends up being uub. Uub needs to be able to justify goku taking time to mentor him, not to mention him being retconned to have god ki. It allows them to redo the ending of z with new context, and have goku train him because he see’s his potential to be the greatest warrior, and to help bolster forces do deal with Black Frieza, who is rebuilding his empire and expanding his plans for the universe

Geekdom I have a question, iv recently started wanting to buy the dragonball z35th anniversary steelbooks, over the past 2 months I have seasons 7, 8, and 9. But the first six seasons are no longer available. Then I get a video recommended to me for the UK versions of those. I'm from California so I do not have a region B player, but some claim they play on American blueray players. The back of their boxes also say 16:9 ratio, but some claim its 4:3 ratio. (Btw if you dont know which version release of dragonball z I'm talking about, I think its manga entertainment studio or something, each cover is s1 vegeta on the cover, s2 is frieza, s3 is ssj goku, s4 is SSI trunks. The whole spin creates shenron image) overall question is are these UK versions of dragonball z good, do they play on American players, are they 4:3 ratio, Bruce falconer track.... Amazon has mixed reviews of these to, some say its 16:9, others say they don't play on American players

If they were to do something like a powerful being, becomes manipulated by someone else, like Frieza or another person, I would like that concept as it is not solely focusing on power, but it is also focuses on brains. (I know that you have smart characters that can be strategic when fighting like Piccolo and Gohan and others, but still, I wanted something like Elec, because he was despicable and built up to be a big and interesting threat, even though he is not powerful).

It'd be cool at the person hinted at that is strongest in the universe is someone that ends up training goku and wears gokus final gi colors. Maybe this strongest fighter helps them fight freeza.. he ends up sacrificing himself to save goku from a blast from freeza and that's why goku ends up wearing the new colors at end of z

I just finished playing the Kakarot DLC about the end of Z not to long ago. And it was awesome so I'm extra biased. A lot of the side quest were extra interesting. I feel like they were cooking and testing ideas. I think an all new retelling of end of Z is the move.

Frieza did had in mind to manipulate the gods of destruction and eventually get into the Omni King place , to take that throne for himself , that was his end game . At least in the anime , i don't remember if in the manga that was teased at least . All of this needs to happen after End of Z .

What if this new strongest being in the universe that was teased takes out beerus so whis calls upon the saiyans to create order again because he's not allowed to fight mortals. This would allow Vegeta to step up as the new god of destruction!
