BLACK MESA STATE PARK! JOIN OUR FAMILY ADVENTURE AS WE EXPLORE THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE!

Join us as we hike to the top of Oklahoma's highest point!! Black Mesa! We have a lot of fun and learn some interesting things along the way!! I used to teach Geography, but now I am a full time digital creator/KZfaqr living life to the fullest with my amazing family. Please subscribe so that our family can keep taking these adventures. In addition to Black Mesa, we visit the tri-state marker where you can be in three states at once. We also stop at Beaver Dunes Park, formerly Beaver Dunes State Park, and check out the Canadian Wagon Bridge in Canadian Texas. We make one last quick stop by Quartz Mountain State Park before completing our journey!! We were on a mission to visit all 34 Oklahoma state parks. Black Mesa was our final park. We received all 6 of the tokens from Oklahoma Travel and Recreation. We may go back to all of the parks with a video camera this time. We already know what to expect, plan for, and we definitely know how to have a blast at all of the parks! The panhandle is rich in tradition. It was part of the Santa Fe Trail. The panhandle was once called the Cimarron Territory!! The capital was Beaver! If you like this video make sure you check out our adventures in Hawaii and our Big ALASKAN adventure! You can drive across Black Mesa into NM and come out just east of Raton, NM.

I recommend eating huge amounts of rice the day before to saturate the muscles with glycogen. I am a bodybuilder so I have this weird height\weight ratio and burn glucose at an astonishing rate when doing endurance type activities. I might be a bodybuilder but I enjoy hiking.

When I was a kid I was with my mothers parents they stopped on a highway in Assumption parish to look at a map. My moms dad said "If something comes out of the swamp im hauling ass"

It is faster to fly into either colorado springs or amarillo. Boise City is closer to Denver than it is to Oklahoma City. Boise City is closer to Utah than it is to Idabel in the southeast corner. Oklahoma is a much bigger place than a lot of people think. Driving 600-700 miles in one go will get you killed. I did that and fell asleep I do not remember falling asleep I just remember seeing tree branches then seeing an ambulance then I was seeing the magistrate for impared driving. It was a state jail felony.

im about to head up there to survey for a specific species of ant. they make thach/grass debris mounds and they're dark redish and black. Did you happen to see an ant like this out there?
