Umm...this is different so I really hope that you guys will enjoy it.
I really enjoy making Star Wars videos but I enjoy making videos even more. And considering the fact that there isn't much new Star Wars material right now I want to explore other franchises too. I am a huge Marvel fan and was considering making an MCU project for a long time.

The first part of the movie was pretty good... then it went a bit nuts. It really would have worked better if it just stuck with the spy/thriller tone instead of heavy action. It fits the character more and would just make more sense. And since this is a prequel, having such a big scale clashes with the stuff that takes place after. You would think throughout IW or Endgame they'd at least mention all the stuff that happened in this movie. Honestly, they brought Howard the Duck through the portals but not Natasha's family (again, another reason this should have been made before those movies came out) Having thousands of BW's across the entire planet is just absurd. It would have been more interesting to have Natasha go up against a small team of Black Widow's. And the bigger change... have them be trained by Taskmaster. Completely take out Dreykov's daughter being a brainwashed cyborg henchman used to build hype in the trailers. Dreykov's daughter will still be dead, forever being a wound on Natasha's spirit as she works to make up for all the red on her ledger. Having all the BW's being chemically brainwashed just takes away pretty much all of the tension. They all become victims that are easily saved by the magic red dust that breaks the spell. There doesn't appear to be any psychological impact (just look at how Yelena being extremely chipper over the fact that she was controlled most of her life) And then there's the usual Marvel format where there's a joke every minute that takes away almost all dramatic tension or emotional significance (Especially Alexei's heartfelt apology to Natasha that she never hears). Also the fact that the movie brings up that Natasha is human and can bruise, yet has her endure everything that happens after with barely a scratch
@mrniceperson_
@mrniceperson_ 2 жыл бұрын
They should’ve released/created this movie right after CW or IW. Imo: this storyline is so bad, they better make her movie about how she escaped the red room and joining Shield to kill Dreykov. And maybe give us the *REAL* Tony Master. But so far its still enjoyable ( well at least for me ), the fight scenes are good and the after credits really make me can’t wait for Hawkeye.
@CrimsonUniverse22
@CrimsonUniverse22 2 жыл бұрын
Movie would’ve been way more interesting had she survived Endgame, and this film took place after it. They could’ve adapted the Black Widow Homecoming comic storyline, where she’s “retired” and is trying to actually live normally on her own, outside Washington DC, in a Nick Fury approved safe house in the woods. But she is found, and a mysterious assassination attempt ensues. This fight scene between her and this masked, mysterious assassin could be like the Yelena/Natasha fight in the movie, but longer and more brutal. Very Bourne/John Wick style. She survives unknowingly to the assassin. She then tracks down a long retired SHIELD agent in DC she once knew during her earlier years, and uses some SHIELD resources to help her investigate. They find out a woman was suspiciously killed execution style in her apartment also in DC, just two days earlier. The woman (a women’s rights activist), appearing on local news about the murder, looks familiar to Natasha. More curious and thinking her death could be related to her assassination attempt, she breaks into the victim’s apartment and finds out that woman….was indeed a former Widow. An older one who graduated from the Red Room when Natasha was just starting out. Someone or some people are successfully taking out former female assassins, and it’s been going on for some time. A couple of years now. Natasha is one of the last targets. Natasha investigates some more, and ends up being drawn back to Russia and back to the Red Room where she finds out who attempted to kill her and who has been behind killing former Widows, and why. She finds out there’s only a dozen new assassins left, currently being trained. The ones who have been sent out randomly over the years to kill older and former Widows. You can add multiple flashbacks to Nat’s past, and her time in the Red Room. Snippets of intense training scenes that show (not tell) how ruthless young Natasha was and why she was considered the best. Fight scenes are minimal, but each one is very very intense, practical. . Quality over quantity. A final action sequence taking on remaining loyalists to the Red Room, along with the assassins, the ones tasked with taking out the other remaining Widows. The last remaining trainees. When face to face with these assassins in the final fight sequence, she realizes they aren’t women. They are girls. Teenage girls. She’s forced to fight and ends up winning and killing them all. This leaves her destroyed. She burns down the red room once and for all, and officially retires. She just can’t kill anymore. The movie can end with her in some far away exotic island with a dog as her only companion. It’s implied she’s never coming back, and thus it “ends” Scarlett’s run with Marvel, but still opens up a possibility she could return in the far far future. There…I just made a storyline that puts it in the present, that would make for a far more compelling watch than what we got. Whose idea to kill Natasha in Endgame, should be punched in the face.
@Mb_Drei

Dear Lord. If the only reason to keep Black Widow alive after Endgame was this trash of a "conclusion" consisting of: *Natasha is retired in peace. Almost gets killed, kills the people who want her dead, now she's retired again but in a different place.* Then I'd gladly shake hands with Marvel's screenwriters. Keep this fan-fiction level writing away.

2:33, I mean, Nat’s always been on the tougher side ever since she first hit the screen, but for this film, it feels like she switched to creative mode for every scene that isn’t her breaking her own nose (something she resets as if she’s Wolverine) and getting gang-banged by other Widows. I find it funny more than anything, especially since while she’s basically a super soldier in this film, she is only a true super soldier in the comics.

But incredibly smart, women outnumber men in terms of the global population split, and the Black Widow is an almost perfectly crafted human weapon- a female supersoldier, taken as the best pick of her bunch, conditioned, and crafted into a master fighter/seducer, trained in countless languages, trained in etiquette, trained in the business of men's fatal weakness. That's the entire point, he's the villain, idk get mad that the villain was evil ig.

If you simply just don't like the idea, that's completely cool, but for the idea of the Black Widow program and the intent behind it, it all makes total sense. You don't think legitimate female spies aren't treated with a similar notion? Most men at the top are pretty damn heterosexual, the reason they're called BLACK WIDOWS is because the females of that spider breed kill their mates after they have sex. It's not a nuanced concept, but it isn't a particularly, shockingly bad one like you make it out to be, it's very sensical.

Let us also not forget the use of the "character you thought was a man is actually a woman" trope that is totally not annoying or a complete waste of an interesting character from the comics with a lot of untapped potential or anything... that deserved the Tony Stark eye roll gif, because that's exactly my reaction by the end of the movie. Tbh I just rewatched it. It's not that bad. It definitely has it's moments. It didn't begin to seriously offend any of my "creative sensibilities," for lack of a better way of putting it, until the final act when they pulled that particular trope that anyone paying attention to what Marvel Studios is becoming these days (more like Marvel Comics unfortunately) pretty much predicted they'd do months before it came out (something that they did again in Loki in an equally predictable manner), and when it became really, overbearingly on the nose that the director was more interested in making a MeToo/Harvey Weinstein allegory than showing and seriously addressing the dark shadowy depths of Natasha's really tragic and frankly horrifying backstop. The movie had a ton of potential. It just doesn't understand what it's trying to be and immediately dated itself in a bad way by jumping on the Hollywood trend of "making a statement" about the Twitter hot top the month.

Its a hell of a lot better than Captain Marvel of course, but it does feel like the MCU female superheroes are really getting the short end of the stick. Thankfully Wandavision was pretty great, and Kate Bishop is pretty great too thus far. So heres hoping the movies catch up to the TV shows. I mean theres also Agents of Shield, the main lead of which was mostly Sky/Daisy, and Jessica Jones. So yeah, it really feels like, TV shows orientated around female characters are good. Whereas the movies get a bit too much of Disneys virtue signalling of regressive views towards femininity.

Nah this movie is garbage. Far worse than Captain Marvel and easily the worst MCU film ever made(didn’t watch Eternals or Thor: Love and Thunder).

I hated this movie. But, heck, i hated almost everything disney made from that Avengers movie where Iron Being and Lieutenant 'Murika fought onwards. Probably more of a personal opinion than a fact, but i dunno, i didn't like anything

If they released Black Widow instead of the Captain Marvel movie It would have been better received and done less damage to he franchise. Bree the Brainless and her pathetic excuse for a movie took the entire franchise down a few notches. I'm fine with "Girl Power". I am not however fine with "Stars" that think they are better than everyone else, have no self awareness, and attacks the fans .

The real reason scarlett sued Disney is because they made her act in this terrible movie.

At least the damn stinger of the film was all kinds of entretaining. But I'm afraid that Yelena might become the ultimate villain of the Hawkeye series
