Another jig is 2 pieces of angle in the vice. an upright pin welded on each allows different sizes of pipe to be dropped over them. Just slide the angle pieces in opposite directions to adjust the spacing between the uprights. Just something I saw online and may try for myself. Have a blessed day Roy.

On the bottom of all my jigs I weld a short length of 1+1/4" x 1/4" flat stock at a 45 degree angle to the jig length. This allows it to fit diagonally in the hardy hole or in the vise. This works very well when I don't have any 1" square or tube to use.

+Keith Whipple I'm glad you enjoyed the video. There definitely is a lot of variety out there as far as blacksmith bending jigs go these are just the tip of the iceberg or the scrapheap LOL

hey mate do you do many scrolls and how would you do like 30 scrolls the same in the shortest amount of time

+grayem pepper I have made a bunch of Scrolls before my current work doesn't really require them though. The best and most efficient way to make scrolls is to start the Scrolls all the same time IE the finial end and then to scroll them all up at one time on a bending jig /scroll jig.

Hi . Good job with all your videos. Do you feel the ultra jig is a well worth tool for a full time blacksmith shop. I have a lot of jigs I've made ,seems like it would be easier. Thank you.

+BLACKRIVERLASER never had a call for horseshoe nail rings I do however have jigs for horseshoe nail hooks.

Great Videos,I saw a piece on pintrest that looked to be 1"x1/4" flat bar that was split down the center and had a twist and as it was twisted the center slit seemed to open up and the ends were tapered.I did not see how it was made but would like to see how it is done.I think it was made by CJForge.Maybe a Christmas ornanent.Thanks

+sam manno Thank you for the compliment! Most likely the item you saw on Pinterest was done by slitting the center of the bar and then drifting it open round before twisting it.. Might make a interesting video in the future. God bless

Fixture or jig? Does it even matter? Jig is what everybody says, eh? The "Versa-Jig" is a fixture if you're ever speaking to an engineer.

"Tis a Blessing indeed to either be anal retentive and uber focused such as my self, or the somewhat to be preferred laid back chilled type. I actually count my hammer blows and keep their number in accord with Fibbonacci numbers. To what end? Satisfaction, efficiency and Art. My work space is tiny so I must combine fixtures through interchangability of parts, such as the Versa Jig, ultra jig actually; with the square hole as well. Don't think he made so many of those model. ANyhoo, keep up the Great Work as shall I. Safety Glasses
