I've just listened to this LP, this was my first full listen of an album connected to the Drain Gang. These dudes have no right to do an album as good as that, are you fucking kidding me? The words "beautiful" and "otherworldly" are the best way to describe this record and overall, it was very fucking great. Loved it. A great introduction to Bladee & Ecco' work.

I think some of the ties with Buddhism on this record are really interesting. On the first track, it is apparently having to do with the 4 noble truths, which are basically very negative things like suffrage, pain, selfishness, etc. Very creative way to express things like that and didn't realize bladee had such lyrical talent.

I love how i can tell my friend that doesn't listen to music or anything like that that Anthony "Top Of The Morning" fantano reviewed Bladee from Drain Gang's album and he can understand what I'm saying but not comprehend anything I said

i expected u to like it, but u liked it a little bit more than i expected, and i very much agree with you. it's such a childish, goofy, happy and blissful project with a lot of warmth, it gives me a huge feeling of comfort. i feel it's really close to perfect for me, but there are definitely some tracks that are noticably worse. loved the aesthetic and vibe of this thing, it's like landing on a sunny field with your pajamas still on from the morning and slowly ascending whilst floating through childhood memories and getting a glimpse of peace in the afterlife. 9/10 definitely :-) PS: proud of u for being drained

Highly agree with your take on this project. Good review Melon. I only just recently started exploring bladee’s discography. I have listened to “Crest”, “Spiderr”, and “The Fool”. I’m going to be honest, I did not enjoy “spiderr” and the “fool” very much. Out of the two albums, I do think “spiderr” is better though, as I thought the production on the album was solid, and the track, “I am surely but slowly losing hope”, is quite good. Pivoting to “Crest” though, oh boy this album was fantastic in my opinion. I absolutely loved the ethereal, heavenly, otherworldly aesthetic projected by this project. I liked the mix of like dreamy pop and rap. I thought that the bladee and echo did a very good job creating a cool unique sound and vibe. I really enjoyed “The Flag Is Raised”. Such a strong first track. Really got me interested in exploring the project. I also really enjoyed the songs “white meadow”, “faust”, “chaos follows”, and and “girls just want to have fun”. Very solid project. Even my dad seemed to like it.

i cant believe this was made in 2020, the stuff they are working on now must be so incredible. I cannot wait.
