I see that all the time people won't mow a 4 inch strip because it crossed the property line. I will mow from my driveway to the next driveway so the grass in front of my house is even.

You made those lawns look awesome nice work! It’s so wierd how butthurt some neighbors get. I had one guy come out right up to me asking “can I help you”? I said what do you mean? He said “you’re on my lawn” mind you it was a 3 ft hayfield no lie and I was actually doing him a favor. But the line between the two properties was gone and it was hard to tell where his started. I calmly explained that the property manager for the mobile home park sent me here to clean up the next door vacant property and that I apologize for crossing the line. I said where would you like me to mow to next time he said “ right there” pointing at nothing. Perhaps I had gone one pass too far idk there were no landmarks or anything. I said ok next time I’ll stop there. I had to de escalate the situation because this was the first day working for my business out in the field and I had picked up one of the sketchiest places to work. This park was so rundown I was actually concerned I was going to get cut on broken glass and there was so much trash everywhere I had to clean it up prior to weed wacking some areas. I’ll never forget the smell of something rotten on my boots perhaps puke or dog poop. It was a rough day but pay was excaxtly what I had asked for so I was happy. I never went back to that place because they probably found someone closer it was a ways out. Watch out for needles and glass cans jars ect. On low end properties it’s no joke be safe out there guys and don’t fight people when they confront you. De escalate and if it’s real bad move on but most of the time you can make them happy by just mowing/trimming up to where they tell you to and you won’t have complaints again. Some people want to be bossy and act like they have some control. Just let them as long as it doesn’t interfere with your client. No big deal but it’s definitely petty and annoying.

Regarding the neighbours side, they don't want to be made to look like they're lazy and don't cut their lawn. Used to cut my neighbours part of the nature strip, he flipped out one day and said I made him look bad to the family.

Your professionalism make me wish there were more guys out there like you. Seems like every time I higher someone to do anything at my house they start cutting corners and doing a hack job. This is why I diy most everything I can.

There is about 15' between my and my neighbor's houses and driveways. When I cut my grass, I cut that whole space between houses and driveways. When my neighbor cut, same thing. So it gets cut a lot.. haha. But it keeps it nice.

We used too have super small yards, so I would mow 6 of ours all together thinking at least one would return the favor. After years of the people on both sides of me and even the other people leaving those kind of lines I started leaving all theirs. Plus I hired someone as well and left their little bits for them to mow.

Using a weed eater takes some skills. I work on a golf course, I use a weedeater around yardage markers they are around 6 inches by 12 to 14 rectangular try doing that without destroying the turf around it. I also trim green and surround heads with the eater, used to use a cookie cutter but it was a slow process.

I feel sorry for people that are always miserable and petty. My neighbor would cut my yard for me if I asked him to and I would certainly do the same for him. Anyway you do a beautiful job and are super efficient with the trimmer.

You guys have a lot of patience i wouldn't have all the patience to do all the details You guys are rare breed God bless you guys

I have stopped the lawn service cutting my neighbors lawn from cutting my side of a side yard because I put down new sod and they were scalping it. I mow every six days, but I don't cut it low like they do. I just need them to leave it alone for a year and then they have my blessing.

I feel your pain I used to mow my community and would have one person complain if I didn't blow right away while the neighbor would come out and complain because I was blowing, I've even had a person open their window while I was blowing just so they could complain about the dust the blower was blowing around.

You'd think the neighbors would be happy that you were doing that. Less work for them. Also. Property between the sidewalk and street belongs to the city and you have every right to mow and edge that bit!

Yea my neighbors do the same thing. We have a couple of clients also that we run into that problem with.

I live in whats considered north Ga. 30 min north of Atlanta. that was my first mistake. Im retired military too. moved here to avoid heavy traffic. ‘peace and quiet’. like u we’ve lived everywhere. but this is the first time ive EVER lived next door to a triffling neighbor/hoarder. these houses go for $125-190. didnt want to be ‘house poor’ even though I qualifed for twice as much. this house next door probably @ $40k. and thats just the land. house looks like its melting and not fit for human occupation. code enforcement is a joke. they made them cut the grass from @3 feet to 18 inches. fix septic tank smells and remove plastic pool that draws pest thats been back there over 10yrs. they dont know these nasty ppl bury their dead pets in the back yard. u can smell the inside from the porch. (I know because had to tell them NOT to empty trash behind my house).. im venting but ive put over 100k in my house and im still walking away. I wouldnt wish a triffling neighbor on my worst enemy. btw good video!.... lol

Definitely a sign that these neighbors aren't getting along. Not cutting that long side is fine, but that section just looks bad when it's not all cut. IMO.

As far as I know, that little strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street does not belong to the homeowner, it belongs to the city, but the homeowner is required to maintain it.

The guy mowing left a lot to whip..I mow with an exmark turf tracer walk behind..I make it to where u barely have to whip cause I get that mower everywhere and under stuff..I can wrap it around poles and almost make it to where u dont have to whip them..

That's petty. Property lines are often blurred when cutting grass. Both of mine cut a foot or so over the line but I'm not going to complain about it
