Hallelujah, Hasbro has responded. A note, during this recording I had forgotten all about what Scoots said to Dash a while back about her parents. My commentary would have probably been a little different otherwise in my assumptions about their relationship.

@@Kian_0708 Rarity starting another boutique would be okay, seeing as she's been doing that for a while now (Canterlot Boutique in Canterlot, Rarity For You in Manehattan). That said, why would AJ have to go? If the CMC leave together, they'd be taken care of by Scootaloo's parents.

@@CJCroen1393 I know this was like a year ago but I just got to say Theres no way they should go together. Scoot's parents are irresponsible and they have a very dangerous job. It's probably why scootaloo didn't live with them in the first place. The first time we see them they have managed to endanger like 20 young children by bringing a Cragadile anywhere near school. It is very clear they value their job over any child. Rarity owning 3 decent sized boutiques in large equestrian areas is one thing, having to manage one in an entirely different country she has likley never even been too is far different, and possibly just a hole of debt just to be near Sweetiebell sometimes.

Something I find interesting is how each of the CMCs have a different parent situation. Scootaloo's parents live long distance, sweetie belle stays with her sister a lot instead of her parents, and applebloom...Rest In Peace, Bright Mac and Buttercup.

"Kind of a Stretch" Really? Remember the times they encountered a problem when separate? Apple Bloom was too depressed about being alone to notice Tender Taps' problem, and she and Scootaloo couldn't solve Zipporwhil's problem without Sweetie Belle.

Slein Fox it was, and it was boring. Change is hard, and sometimes you have to move away. You loose your friends but you can always stay friends. I don’t get why it was such an issue.

... I'm not sure about these parents, I mean Scoots did choose to stay, but it's not like she cares about her job so much, she wants to stay because of her friends. If the parents think that their job is so important, maybe not have a child??? Child is a responsibility which you take on yourself by having one and if you're planning to travel around the world, don't take that kind of responsibility on yourself, seriously, this can be scaring!

@@grace19005 Yeah, but to me, the rest of the episode felt too repetitive and a bit too reminiscent of the more mediocre early-seasons CMC stuff. One fantastic scene does not a great episode make.

I would have preferred not being given any information on them, rather than something that COMPLETELY goes against previously established canon. It's honestly terrible how they rushed this crap, the series (not to mention Scootaloo) deserved better than this.

I'm got so relieved they did't have the guts to separate them, I was on verge of crying the whole episode. And I love that they justified her staying with all the accomplishments the CMC had.

I feel for Scootaloo. In 1994, when I was 12, we moved from California to Minnesota. I was heart broken moving away from my best friend since I was 5 and she was 3. It was hard keeping in touch at times. But we made it back to visit a few times and we'd hit up the beach. But here I am, 37 years old and we are still very close friends. ^_^ It does happen, some friendships last forever.

Is it bad of me that I actually kinda wanted Scootaloo to move away. Stuff like this happens all the time. I moved away to a new city and away from my dad and friends at the age 13. I have a friend who moved from state to state all her life until her family finally settled in California at the age 14. This could've been a deep and personal lesson for kids of all ages. I actually thought they were gonna end this epsiode with Scootaloo moving away but with the bright side that she'll be expanding the crusaders business to other towns. That she would be able to help foals from other towns find their cutie marks and possibly find new members for the club. Idk, This episode was still sweet.

I would be very touched if this episode was about friends seperating. My parents decided to move to the other side of the country (to be specific, other side of Sweden), and I lost all my friends, and now, I only have like, three or maybe four new ones. No real BFF to be honest, the one I got in this new place moved over to USA and I'm kind of losing connection with her. She hasn't responded yet to my email. And this new life is so hard... My old life was almost perfect. There were problems, but I didn't have time to think about them. Now I've moved on though, with a bitter feeling and a deep scar :/ I wish I could start my whole life over and make the right decisions or just forget all my mistakes.

In the Break Up Break Down. After Big Mac breaks up with Sugar Belle, he walks through town looking at happy couples celebrating Hearts and Hooves Day together. Lyra and Bon Bon are there, trade gifts, and hug each other. Later, Hasbro tweeted a Happy Valentines Day pic of several couples, with that shot of Lyra and Bon Bon hugging.

It may seem like a stretch...but answer me this, how many of the adults go out of their way to help ponies find their place in the world? When the Mane 6 tried that with the CMC's, they...weren't exactly clear or patient with doing that job. Plus; sometimes, kids do stuff better than grown ups do

"niche moral" Well, you could say that, but I think part of the problem is how it was framed. Really, the reason that it doesn't make sense for Scootaloo to move away with her parents is that Scootaloo has grown up and taken on more adult responsibilities. That's almost universally applicable. It's kind of a shame that that aspect was left to the last minute resolution instead of being the main source of the conflict, but that might make it too much like "The Parent Map"

You know, i think this is as close as the show will ever get to having an openly gay couple. A little kid having two "aunts" that live together, but are in fact a lesbian couple is one of the oldest tropes in entertainment history.
