I have a K95 Black Edition. Lovely rifle. It's also a system rifle. You basically can change the calibers by changing barrels. I have 3 barrels/calibers for mine. The takedown capability makes it perfect for putting/hiding it into your backpack as well. Great if you have to walk a bit before reaching the place you're hunting on.

yeap, where i live we have these as mountain rifle, some game warden carry them also for exactly that reason. personally i own a bbf95.

I agree with the reviewer...having only a single shot helps focus you and will actually improve the quality of your shooting. Because unless you're talking about a dangerous game rifle, you're only going to get that one shot anyway. Even with DG, you generally get two at most-and then either you are still alive, or the animal is.

You surely lose the deer, if you can t shoot. Better one good shot, than three bad. How man times can you take a second shot on a game? Almost never. The K95 is even not for old men to sit on a highseat. It is a light gun for stalking. The only reason, that young men don t use it to often is, that it s to expensive for them. It s an exelent gun with top präcision and it is very beautiful.

That is a neat gun, Pete. We run the R8 and TAC2 regularly. The single shot has always intrigued me as a, "one day…" rifle. -Marky

Hi Marky, we get to use/try so many different rifles but this simple single shot K95 really was a pleasure to use.

Thats why u pick Kipplauf rifle with a R cartridge ;) 7x57R ! I own 2 blaser kipplauf rifles a k77 and a k95 . k77 is in 6,5x65r and the k95 is in 7x57r . Kipplauf rifles always with a R cartridge

Hello Fiskeman92, so which do you prefer if i might ask ? of the calibers that is :) I do like the idea of a Kipplauf for mounting hunting especially, but i do wonder of how strong the recoil is from prone position, in such a light rifle. I have a Mannlicher Schoenauer GK Stutzen in 7x57 btw, and that is a recoil i am quite ok with, but then again that also weight 600 gram more, than a typical kipplauf i'd suspect... Have a great weekend, Claus/Lex

@@stevenbodum3405 thanks for the answer Steve and wiedmannsheil from Italy :) Ps. Quite funnily I'm in the process of acquiring a 6.5x57 haha, what an odd coincidence. It's an old but fairly light bolt action, - it's a schultz larsen rifle made on a mauser k98 action, (the Germans left a bunch behind after they capitulated in 1945). I couldn't resist as I'm Danish by birth but my dad's family is of German origin. I plan to make that my mountain gun, until I can afford a nice kipplauf. 👍🏼⛰️ Take care and happy hunting 👍🏼🙂 Claus/Lex

Well, I could live the rest of my hunting days with one of those and I shoot a Blaser R-93 that I had for god for almost 20 years now. In the States where I live, our only limits for the most part are what our checkbooks can support. 6.5 x 55 will be plenty for most of what walks around in the lower 48 at least. Put a 2.5 to 8 Power Leupold on one and call it good. You guys in the UK and Europe are really into big glass on rifles.
@shane99ca

That's because they're allowed to hunt at night. Big objectives gather every last scrap of light. Night hunting is illegal in most parts of the U.S., and in situations where it's permitted (like hunting feral hogs in Texas), shooters often buy thermal scopes instead. Because by the time you've bought a Zeiss Victory or Swarovski Z8, you've pretty much paid the same as you'd pay for TI anyway. Something else really common over there? Silencers. Available over the counter, no license. Of course you have to go through a serious licensing process to get the gun to put it on!

Now that is a really nice rifle. Single shot rifles are a hunting rifleman's rifle. Just one western American's point of view.

Why do people insist upon mounting huge, ridiculous optics on fine compact rifles? Would a 2.5 or 4x compact scope be more appropriate? I think so. You aren't shooting taliban at 1000 yards.
@sigmundstenhaug2301
@sigmundstenhaug2301 3 жыл бұрын
I don't know what's your background is , but in many European countries , like Norway , night-hunting is both legal and also quite common. And then bigger optics gives you advantages towards smaller optics. But I agree , big optics on rifles like this K95 hurts the eyes...

Currently on the market for a high end single shot. This one's near perfect for me, except I want to go irons only and the sight radius on the K95 is pretty abysmal.

Why would anyone choose to shoot PP (Prvi Partizan) through a K95 Baronesse?!
@GartenhausLP
@GartenhausLP 5 жыл бұрын
PPU is perfectly fine training ammo and they even produce catridges quite a few unicorn calibers. I know a lot of folks who shoot ppu through their old fine guns on the range. Plus the brass is really good for realoading and in some calibers ppu ammo cost only a few cents per shot more then new brass

@@GartenhausLP I had a Ruger M-77 in 6.5 x 55 that would shoot that stuff so well that I would use that ammo when I wanted to shoot for money! And boy it was so cheap too back before Obama. For some odd reason, Democrats since the Civil War have had a hard-on for gun ownership. Our constitution has bearing arms as a fundamental right of a free people. I know the reason, they didn't like former slaves having guns. So they cooked up all sorts of things to denied rights to such persons!

This is just beyond stupid, you take a lightweight rifle and put a large ass scope on it. why not take any decent priced bolt action (or a decent single shot) with a plastic stock and it will still be lighter than this overpriced piece of crap. and don't get me started on the need to try and pull the empty casing out. A millions worth company who asks for ludicrous amounts of money for their crap could have figured out how to do a normal shell exctracting mechanism (not talking about an ejector). but hey, let the wealthy enjoy their luxurious stuff.
