Had a good idea of how to do it, but didn't want to experiment. Turns out I was right, so thanks for the video to help. That cheeky little extrude to immediate scale for the tip though wasn't something I would have thought of, so thanks for that too. Came out looking great, albeit a different caliber.

This was an excellent tutorial! If you can, a gun tutorial could be cool because the current ones on KZfaq seem really out of date, but that could be a bit too labor intensive, especially for any kind of beginner tutorial.

If going to model It to a game i could work on a ngon than Just triangulate It, with a modifier, thats IS a good way to save on verts and dont "overheat" the game engine, the boolean modifier gonna be your friend, and bevel, try get acess to addons like boxcutter, meshmachine and hards ops, try making simple model first, and do step by step detail, If u good a hard surfacing modelling a gun should be east

Is there a way of instead of bevels, the edges are going to be defined by normal maps. Blender is giving me some weird bake results.

Idk why but my bevel modifier doesn’t effect the edges at all , even when i activate it

0:49 If you don't have a tab key? Like, if you don't have a tab key, maybe you need to go find it. Tab keys shouldn't just walk away from your keyboard.

I've heard of Logitech keys walking away from their owners. It's a growing problem that will affect 1 in 30 keyboard owners by 2034. It's a shame authorities can't get this strange problem.
