I know that this show has done a lot of things that most of the Bronies didn't expect to see, but I've genuinely never expected a "your mom" joke in MLP. Seriously that was pure gold. Cozy Glow is one savage little pony.

Upon rewatching this, I realized how excellently this was written. Thats some very solid misdirection: Cozy Glow WASNT being manipulative. At least, she wasnt trying to be. Its obvious from the start that she has trouble socializing and understanding the basic concepts of friendship. I'm sure theres some psychological condition (like autism maybe) there. She really only tried to help the CMC and let them help her. But the way this was set up is actually really clever: the voice, the fact that she lacks social skills, even the cutie mark of what seems to be a King's piece, all of them make the viewer THINK she's trying to manipulate the CMC. Think that she just wanted to abuse their kindness for her own benefit, even going so far as to blame them for her failure. But none of that was her intention. She just didn't know any better way to go about this. I think proper misdirection like that takes a whole lot of writing skill.

I just realized that this episode where the CMC “graduate” is aired on a weekend where many kids are having their own graduations.

Part of the reason Twilight was probably so angry with the CMC was due to Cozy Glow. I imagine Twilight asked to see her when she saw how wrong the answers were, and then Cozy, in an attempt to really make it seem like CMC were bad at friendship, probably went on and on about all the things the CMC taught her and how much time they spent studying. And with answers as wrong as that, it is little wonder why Twilight would think the CMC had been doing nothing but hammering in wrong info, as she knew that they knew all the right answers easily. It is like if a little brother was tutored by their big brother in math when the big brother was a math genius, and then the little brother got a zero on the test. Assuming foul play is honestly what most people would naturally do. Also, the CMC had been acting more than a little bratty about the whole not going to friendship school thing, which Twilight picked up on and/or heard about from her friends, so she probably assumed this was just them throwing a temper tantrum.

Guys, this might sound insane, but I think Cozy Glow might be evil.

Things suspicious about Cozy Glow: Voice: This one is pretty obvious. From the beginning it just sounds like she's conning them. It's especially apparent right when she meets the CMC and says "I'm having so much trouble with my friendship lessons...." What also is peculiar is when she says something that sounds a bit iffy, as though she were trying to gain sympathy from them, the music turns into an over dramatic violin, emphasizing the phony nature of the character. Name/CutieMark: Her CutieMark is a chess piece, a rook in specific which could mean three probable things. 1: Her special talent is just chess (though this one is suspicious seeing how it was never mentioned or even touched upon in the episode). 2: She is very smart and/or like a mastermind in terms of playing people. 3: She is a underling of someone, often the key part to a backstabbing plan (specifically relates to the piece). There is a chance I'm playing this up, but what is also suspicious is her name in relation to her CutieMark. Almost always a name relates to a CutieMark, which leads me to believe that her name is actually fake, and she is using a different identity to avoid suspicion. Ideals: Cozy Glow really shows some messed up ideals if you look a little closer at the script and bodylanguage. The very first time she shows this is when she says "What's in it for you...?" Though this was immediately very cleverly disguised by the CMC and their ignorance towards her slightly off demeanor by Sweetiebell saying "That's what friends do!" Later she believes that generosity is the same as intelligence, which would make sense if she viewed generosity as a way to win someone over and manipulate them. She also mixes up "magic" with "power" which in real life might make sense but in the show magic is used in the terms of "the magic of friendship," which directly contradicts the belief that magic is synonymous with power. Background: I think that this signal is probably the most discreet seeing as it was only just mentioned, but Cozy Glow mentioned that she had just moved to Ponyville to go to the School of Friendship. This is odd for a few reasons. Cozy Glow is around the same age as the CMC, probably a year or two younger. Most of the students dropped off by parents are teenagers, especially the six that have been focused on. We can obviously see in this episode that many of the other ponies attending are also teenagers and/or young adults. It would make sense for their parents not to be there. However, Cozy Glow never mentioned parents. When she told the CMC she would flunk out, she mentioned "not staying much longer," implying that she would be heading back to where she came from. Which also implies that she has no parents, or that her parents don't know where she is and/or are captured. Well that's just my take on it. I also think it's slightly weird that Chrysalis had an episode directly after, which also leads me to believe that Cozy Glow is unrelated, seeing how Chrysalis doesn't mention her whatsoever, and says "servants always fail you."

I loved this episode too, hence my new Channel art and icon XD.

Who wants to bet when Lily orchard gets to this episode, She's gonna find cozy glow cute but find nothing suspicious about her.

I find Cozy very fishy.

The problem with Twilight's actions in this episode is not that she suspected the CMC. It's that she accused them so without solid proof. I realize why she would be suspicious of them, but not why she would jump to that conclusion. Usually when you suspect something, but not know for sure, you're supposed to look into it and gather information necessary to come to your own conclusion. I thought that by season 8, the princess of friendship would know that. There's a difference between conclusive evidence that someone did something, and something that suggests someone COULD have done something. The latter requires more information. Also, there's a difference between suspecting and accusing. If she merely suspected the CMC for doing something like that, I wouldn't blame her. Given what transpired over the episode, that's logical. But she needed to talk with them before she went this far. It's just hard to believe Twilight doesn't know by now to check the facts. Still, in spite of that one thing, I still really enjoyed this episode. The plot had a lot of unexpected turns that kept me guessing where there going with it. I love it when they avoid making an episode predictable. Also, Cozy Glow, while kind of sketchy, is simply adorable. And then the laughs. Repeatie Belle, Scootaloo getting busted with her disguise, the CMC's bad acting, Starlight's facial expressions, but the one that takes the cake is "Your mom"! Overall a good episode for me.

I think that the CMC should officially be out of school at this point. They technically graduated from a school, making them school graduates. Plus, they never do anything with the other students or Cheerilee anymore, they could probably move on without consequence

14:49 Well the History of Radishes does sound ridiculous to us and was only a joke. Though then you remember the depressing fact that the English Empire got so addicted to Chinese tea that they resorted to selling drugs and then went to war with them twice. So who knows with MLP. Radishes could also be something that had to be imported from beyond the borders originally and kicked off wars that the kids were learning about. Also personally I don't trust Cozy Glow as far as I could punt her either. Firstly there is that Chess Piece cutie mark which would indicate she could be really good at strategic thinking. Which would seem at odds with how her last plan went to get the CMC into the school. Unless that wasn't actually the plan at all, but simply part of it to ingrate herself with not only the CMC, but also the teachers of the school on a level not normal for a student. So step back and take a look at the events of the episode with a more questioning eye. She seemingly stumbles her way deep into Apple Acres only to settle down to cry about her problems within sight of the CMC treehouse. Three fillies which are close relations to the Elements of Harmony and have made names for themselves with their cutie mark connection. She then shows a hint of distrust when offered aid, but only to dial it down and play up her cute factor as thought to mask the outburst. Her 'homework' does sound like something the school might do. However it seems odd that each pony wasn't aware they might be getting help from strangers. Also the fact that Bonbon who is a former agent of Celestia that now lives in Ponyville just happens to be one of the three photoed. She also appears to be the least prepared to have her photo taken where as Big Mac and Ms Cake seem to have posed for them. Then there are the moments where she is either frustrated or seems poised to rope the girls into something where her voice seems to drop for a moment. Like she is perhaps putting it on to also mask her intentions with a cute facade. It becomes particularly apparent in the Starlight scene where she is really forcing it to a new level. This would also explain the expressions on her face at times. When she is learning the elements and clearly getting it she has this manic, almost hungry look on her face. Though at other times she'll flutter her eyes and tilt her head to make herself seem more innocent. Which gives me distinct vibes of Tanya the Evil from the anime of the same name. You may recall those moments where she had to act the sweet little girl when they were about to destroy a weapon factory, but had to give due warning otherwise it could be seen as a war crime. Then there was the propaganda photo shoot where she had to act like a pretty doll in a dress. Now this could just be me being cynical, but you also picked up that something was strange about Cozy Glow as well Rarity Dash. Hence why I decided to air my view. Now what do I think might be going on with this filly? Well I've two options in mind for why she might actually be there and trying to get close to the main six. Firstly would be that she is an agent hired by chancellor Neighsay that was set up so prominently in the first episode of this season. Even though his only mandate is to oversea how schools are run. He appeared to be very interested in the 'protection of pony kind'. Those under him also didn't seem to object to his way of putting things. Meaning perhaps the EEA are also bigots. So her end goal could be to cause strife and/or discredit the Twilight in some way. My second option is Queen Chrysalis. She has been shown to be a cunning strategist that successfully took the place of a Princess and almost married her Husband. All done while intentionally driving Twilight to the brink of madness where she might have killed Cadence in the mines beneath Canterlot. Then there was a nation wide take over that saw all rulers and many keys to power being replaced without major incident. A plan that would have succeeded flawlessly if a message hadn't gotten out to Starlight and Steve. So Cozy Glow could be a part of the new Changeling colony she has been birthing in her build up to revenge or perhaps the queen herself trying to understand why she has failed twice. Though that is just my thoughts on the episode RarityDash.

My first time I watching this episode, I didn't notice what Twilight was talking about during her lesson about the history of friendship. We now have a completely canon image of Chancellor Puddinghead. Fanfic writers, I have good news. The lore of Equestria has been expanded!

Yeah, Cosy Glow was so damn suspicious at times here, it kept throwing me off. The way she talks (ignoring the fact that she's basically a Sherly Temple pony), the odds of her going all the way to the Apple orchard and specifically choosing to sit close to the clubhouse before crying (though, considering she was meant to help Big Mac, I guess it makes sense she just happened to end up there), the fact she clearly failed her test on purpose, not to mention her expression when she had Twilight's cutie mark in her eyes, I at first thought she was going to be the next Diamond Tiara, though after a short time I kept thinking she was a certain Ex-Queen trying to use the CMC to get something... at least until it was clear Cosy Glow felt bad for getting the CMC in the trouble they ended up in. As for Cosy's oddities during her tutoring, like calling the Element of Magic "Control", someone suggested in the comments of Applegeek's reaction that she could possibly be Neighsay's niece sent to undermine Twi's school... which, if true, clearly backfired on him. I smile just picturing his expression when he learned Cosy's on Twi's side now

(NO SPOILERS PEOPLE) A lot of us including myself are very suspicious about Cozy Glow. There are a number of theories/speculations about her character.

One of my favorite little parts that I’m sure a lot of people don’t think about is right before Cozy go’s to get the kite, Scootalo is the one who points at it. And I think that was on purpose as Scootalo can’t fly. That’s just a little thing I noticed, and I’m not sure wether to call it sweet, sad, or something else.

Twilight has just became worst mane pony for me with this episode. she never even gave the cmc a proper apology, and nothing indicates she has learned her own lesson. who says she wont punish the innocent again! she's a bad principal. which is sad because everyone else is kicking their new jobs. the episode only focused on Cozy Glow having learned something. but what about twilight? she falsely assumed the cmc had bad intentions. and then she had to give that god awful line of "I can't believe you have done such a thing" bs. really twilight, if you truly CAN'T believe they would have done such a "bad" thing, then wHY IS IT THE FIRST THING YOU ASSUME?!! I can't tell you how many times I have been severally punished for "crimes" by teachers and other adults growing up, when I was innocent, and have heard that line. most the time I was never brought justice. and any time it was found out they were WRONG, I never got an apology. sure sometimes they'd give me a "reward" to make me feel "better". but it doesn't work that way, not if you are just going to not learn from your mistake and continue to punish kids unfairly without fully understanding them, respecting them, and taking the time to understand the situation. jumping to conclusions and then emotionally damaging them and their reputation with their peers is just wrong and setting them up for a lot of failure.

I get a real Tom Riddle vibe from Cozy Glow here. Just look at the dark hunger in those eyes. I think she'll turn out to be an infiltrator for the Big Bad (smart money is on Chrissy but we may have a dark centaur in the race aka Tirek) but at the end of the finale, Starlight or the Student 6 will redeem her by reminding her of all the friendship she's learned.

I suspect Cozy is a changeling, seeing I saw the season 8 animatic and I'd say the season is starting to throw hints of what's coming in the finale.

I get being intensely socially awkward, but Cozy Glow is more than that. She ain't what she seems.

The only problem I have with the episode is: does this mean they can get out of their other school? I mean, it's not just that they wanted to get into the friendship school, but also to get out of theirs. Still an excellent episode, though!

By the end of season 9, there will be too much friendship. Even the LORD OF CHAOS has been converted to be far more harmonious... Something cataclysmic needs to happen to balance the world.

Ok, new theory. Cozy isn't Chrysalis in disguise, but she is a Changeling. Specifically a Changeling that Thorax missed. She is working undercover at Twilight's school and feeding information to Chrysalis. That would explain why Cozy looked guilty for getting the CMC in trouble. Chrysalis would never look guilty for something like that, but while she is still helping Chrysalis, she found herself making friends with the CMC.

I loved this episode, a very fun episode with great character interaction. I am admittedly surprised that Twilight believed that the CMC would ruin Cozy Glow's chances of getting a good grade at the school, that was surprising, but at the same time I kind of liked it because sometimes you have someone who has known you for x amount of time and wouldn't think that way about you, but I'm kind of happy that Twilight was willing to blame the CMC instead of just be willing to believe the CMC's wouldn't do something wrong. Also there's just something off about Cozy Glow, like she was acting nice and not really nice, that's just me though.

Promoting RWBY on MLP isn't a bad thing, I think. I started following you because of your RWBY reactions, and you're part of the reason I started watching MLP. Cozy Glow is a changling under Crissy's faction. Or at least that's my theory. 1) She seened to target the CMC by breaking down outside their clubhouse 2) She gained their trust by learning under their guidence 3) I think she was trying to create a rift between Twilight and the CMC to weaken the mutual support. This is what Crissy did back.in "A Canterlot Wedding". 4) Cozy Glow actually learned about friendship, and felt bad getting the CMC chastised. 5) Starlight was brilliant here, and she nailed it when she said it was devious (DWK has a couple of new meme faces, now). 6) This will lead to Neighsay coming in and try to prove a changling invasion is the result of the school. 7) Cozy Glow will convert to a changling like Thorax/Steve, and betray Crissy. This will boost the FIM concept and prove the schools is making a stronger Equestria. Of course, this is just my wild theory. I'll ha e to post my thoughts of the CMC at the school for another time, or I mat pist them.on the Equestrian Amino.

Twilight annoyed me in this episode. It's like with the episode when Trixie made friends with Starlight. A lesson she should have learnt, whoops, she hasn't learnt from it. I get being rash and jumping to conclusions is her character, but for god sake, show some character growth. She is a principal now. She has to be levelheaded for the _good if the students!_ At least say she's sorry. And why is everyone saying Cozy will be a villain for a first appearance mistake? We barely know her, give her time.
