Ever since the argument over whether Flint tried to kill Billy or not began I've been waiting for this episode when they learn that even the characters don't know so you will never get an answer.

The next three episodes are some of the best television of all time. I mean this is my favorite show of all time, but the next three are definitely a highlight.

I think there was very little Flint could have done, even if he wanted to save Billy. I mean they were under fire and the ship was rocking. And most importantly Billy is srsly huge dude, especialy if you are trying to hold him with one wet hand. So regardless of Flints intentions, Billy would probably end up in the wather.

Sojtus Well we don't know that for certain. I mean if it was Mrs Barlow about to fall over, I believe Flint would've put in more effort to try to save her.

I think this show does this thing that if it's true we get to see it. When Silver told Max the truth about the gold we saw it, when they told Flint the gold was gone we didn't get to see it. When Billy told Silver about the pardons, we saw the british soldier guy give him a bunch of official looking documents, I.E. I think the pardons are real, Billy just don't want to use them.

It doesn't matter whether Billy got 10, 11 or 12 pardons. The point was to show that Billy would never put the crew in mortal danger if he could avoid it. I absolutely believe him when he says that he would never risk anyone to be tortured as he was. And now he has gotten rid of some of the potential dissidents.

The guy who plays Billy was in the show Merlin. That was a good show. I believe it was inspired by Smallville to show a younger Merlin.

About Flint and Billy, I'd say there's a big difference from trying to kill him or just not trying to save him.

The intention is the same. The result is potentially the same. In one case it's achieved through action & in the other it's (hoped to be) achieved through inaction. Not really that different. Ultimately, not attempting to save someone when one can & killing someone outright is equally unethical. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

@@becca1189 I strongly disagree. Attempting to save Billy would have been extremely physically dangerous to Flint, who was also holding on for his life to a wet surface in a storm. The choice whether to risk your own life to potentially save someone else (when odds were slim he even could save him because of the circumstances and their relative sizes) is not the same thing as the choice to murder someone.

@@iesika7387 The OP was referring to a conversation that the reactors were having regarding the ethics of Flint killing Billy vs Flint choosing not to save Billy even if he could've. Hence why I stated, "when one can". Not saving someone because one isn't in a position to do so is one thing, choosing to let someone die because that person's continued existence could prove inconvenient is a completely different matter. When it comes to Flint we don't even know what happened, never mind why. Better question: does Flint even know? My point is that the why is more important than the what when determining whether or not Flint's actions were ethical. We're actually in agreement. You're simply coming at it from a different angle. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

Although I have been enjoying this show and there has been some amazing parts, this episode is the first one that I have loved it had several amazing momens with great characters. Shockingly my favourite character Jack wasn't even in it, I can't wait for the next one, Hyped

Eric is right in his argument. If Flynt had the chance and ability to save him, but CHOSE not to so thst he dies, than if he died, than yes Flynt tried to kill him cause he would have willfully let him die.

Teets And thats a Prosecutor's greatest obstacle as you can't prove a person intentions in court and so you have to rely on evidence to tell the story, to which there is none in this case so I guess only Flint truly knows what happened that night.

Bhlack Bishop Yep, very true. Zero evidence to prove anything. But in the means of intent, if Flynt could have saved Billy but chose not to and to let him die (if he had died), I'm on the side of that definitely being the same as Flynt killing him.

Just watching this show for the first time and watching along with the crew. So basically according to Aaron and Shane Scar did not kill Mufasa. Also they said that Flint wouldn't straight up murder Billy, but he literally killed his best friend in cold blood because of his ambition. Lol.

I flipped flopped a lot on Billy but Max has always been my favourite. I also really love Eleanor too, really interested in how they react to season 3/4 Eleanor because I am pretty upset with the direction they decided to go with her.

Lucille First of her Name, Queen of the Saviors thats how i feel about eleanor she is always just turning on people, but max just tries to get ahead but she doesnt actually betray anyone the same way eleanor does again and again. Maybe i just appreciate her business skills.
