OK, first, your blister sounds like its roof is INTACT not DEROOFED - so don't put a hydrocolloid on it. Second, it takes 6 weeks for all the remnants of dried blood and damaged skin to fully shed www.blister-prevention.com/blister-healing-time/ Thirdly, if your blister is dry or the roof is intact, it can't get infected. @@Trophic-vg2cd Povidone iodine (assuming you're not allergic to iodine) and an island dressing. Do it to PREVENT it from getting infected. Read the infected blisters article.

It sounds like the blister formed a week or more ago and is resolving - am I right? It takes blisters 6 weeks to fully heal. By that I mean for all the damaged skin to slowly work its way to the surface and shed. So I'd say that's what you're seeing happen. If there's no blister fluid or raw skin, DO NOT use a hydrocolloid (the subject of this video). Use an island dressing if you feel there's any tender skin that needs a bit of protection.
